  1. 150-165*30 seems to be the weapon of choice for pure 24" trials frames
  2. disagree with you there, i recon its probably a good laugh. i bet the bikes are ace lazy do it all machines
  3. seven minutes of uncomfortably close calls. jaw is dropped and i cant stop swearing.
  4. got a f**king bargain at a closing down sale today.
  5. caught some doggers when riding yesterday, was pretty funny. found a new spot with lots of low rails to practice with

    The Angry Thread.

not a new-just-in post, but both of my first ever riding mates are both incapacitated because of automotive accidents. it's proper f**king lame.
  7. think we'll see these in trials? i've only skimmed the article but i think the pawls will be pulled into the ratchet via magnet instead of a spring. i'm not familiar with the mavic system so i'm unsure.
  8. another vote for the because, really pleased with mine
  9. more engagements is a significant differentiatior. and rear end weight does make a difference, you get over it but when i went rear disc my bike felt a bit odd for a while.
  10. breaking bad, dexter and mad men are all worth your time.
  11. could interest some of you; dual piston mechanical caliper. for thos unfamiliar with normal cable discs, one pad is fixed, so the rotor often rubs and drags. if these are up to the job and affordable they could be fricken sweet...
  12. thought zumbi were more mtb based?
  13. hey my front disc rotor has a mirror like finish on the braking surface. i've never noticed this on rotors before. my brake performs fine most of the time, but occasionally lets me down. should i be bothered? is there a way i can get the finish back to 'normal'
  14. had a brilliant ride and catchup with dan cox in leeds yesterday. got some uni mates coming up to see me tonight. i'm progressing with up to fronts. although i can see i've got loads of room to push my technique and get my balls on my stem. i'm suprised how little my back wheel rotates in that move...

    Films!?

Lego movie is excellent, i imagine the majority of tf love lego so it may be sily to bother suggesting it, but it is proper mint!

    chain tension

if you have the right ratio and stay length, so you could run no tensioner, and just get a spoke to take out the remaining slack, that is in my eyes the ideal. if you can run a ratio like this then chain wrap (or lack of) shouldn't affect the performance. or just get your rohloff as close/tight as you can and use a chain stay protector.
  17. i got my zoot welded up for £20, invest in which bike you think helps your riding the most.
  18. just ground my bashmounts off, theres a lairy hole in my frame :P

i was wondering about a little carbon guard to go over that spot.

  19. made a gap up to front that i've fancied forever
  20. i'm about a 25 minute walk from the event. i do work saturdays so i won't be about till about 8pm though
  21. super star components are cheap.
  22. picked up a reotarry tool set from maplin for 25 quid; i've rawed my forks, and had a go at my bash mount, but i need a proper grinder to do those i recon.
