  1. frame can influence the noise too... when i swapped from a zoot to an ashton effect, both have dedicated vee mounts, but the way my brake performed was totally different, i ended up getting rid of the booster on the ashton just to make it feel 'normal'
  2. vees are rad, no bite is wierd at first but the sheer power/hold it offers makes up for this, easier to set up/reset, more adjustability. onza veedapters are shit, heatsink or neon, echo are ok but i snapped one before...
  3. cheeky little ride this morning, missus played with the camera, i liked this one....
  4. court behind the train station (2-6) behind court (7-8) dev green (9-11)

  7. no he just wants to share that he bought a new frame, and that we're the small minority of folk who find that interesting/entertaining.
  8. it's motivated me to be fit, i based my choice of uni on riding, i stayed in education to maintain trials. it's opened my eyes to all types of cycling and let me realise that i've got the opportunity to do all sorts of things through cycling, i feel like it defines me, and meeting you lot can be fun...
  9. 17 weeks since my broken ankle, i'm pretty much back up to speed now.

proper snapped my skinnier ankle bone, had a 4" plate installed, 6 weeks in a cast, 'walking' independently (read like a hobble retard) by the end of the day i had my cast off. no trials for about 6 weeks after that, just walking and then road cycling. last 5 weeks have been trials, very delicatley at first, but i'm at bar height stuff right now... i'm gyming quite a bit, i can run 5km in under 25 min, squat 100kg, 17 weeks isn't that long, but i know it sucks being in...

  10. make: Avid model: BB7 bike used on: 20"s, 24"s 26"s, front + rear on all pads used: standard avid rotor used: standard avid roundagon rotor size: 160/185/203mm respectively front rear or both: both good points: cheap to keep, excellent hold, no feeling of bite, but the power is always there. can provide modulation alongside serious power. massive adjust-ability, coupled with sd7 levers you have alot of variables to play with... easy to install/set up bad points: kinda heavy, but it's not super heavy, the performance and toughness are worth it. make: Hope model: Tech Trial with the fancy lever bike used on: echo 20" pads used: hope ones rotor used: generic one rotor size: 180 front rear or both: front good points: awesome power and bite, light, can tune the lever position. feels ace bad points: the lever blade itself has eaten my fingers this week. got a nice blister on my finer and cuts on my knuckles from the blades sharp edges also: hydraulics always make me a little wary cause failure means expense + fannying about, a broken cable brake, you can always get spares...
  11. seemingly not, but the way you fall with/out a helmet can affect other things. i broke my leg a few months ago, i wasn't wearing a helmet at the time, i only broke my leg cause i put my foot out to stop myself falling backwards, if i was wearing a lid, i might have just gone with it and not be in the situation i'm in now... thats me speculating and it's my opinion so don't nazi me into the ground for it tf, but since that you won't catch me without a lid because of that belief.
  12. only 2 bikes per train irregardless of the number of carriages on that train. only applies to a few real jobsworths on the line i use alot. fricken nightmare. if we're picking hairs the wheel clamps are never big enough for proper fun bikes... or bar spacing. theres a lack of security or open priority to the seats near the bike bit, i like to sit opposite my bike or in the first 2 rows of seats near it, otherwise i'll stand...
