  1. ENO?? But seriously if he's riding a t-bird then it proberly isn't worth it. If his bike is worth the upgrade and he has money then, ENO
  2. After reading all the posts im still confused to what help there has been. It does depend on what lengths he wants to go to, to make this work. Switching sprockets and drivers would be a pain every time he get's to his destination. I think go with what some other guy said and pump the tyres up! (fogot to quote). It will take no longer than 40 mins. I gurantee that, unless he is unfit. I used to ride 3 miles untill i moved into town. Or... He should ride his other bike being a mountain, bmx or 50cc bike with the mod strapped to his back.

As long as your not running 1 piece cranks. But what he said is right. There is also no correct gear. So if you wanted you could run 1:1 gear ratio being 18t sprocket and 18t freewheel. But that would just be silly.

    Epic Video

People do ride for all different reasons though and this video does indeed represent but only for a certain number of people. Some people find that the police and the public are not always a downfall to riding but a bit of added fun and adrenaline. Some of the people you do meet are real cool and there are others you just hate. Some of the attitudes really stink.
  5. That is guaranteed as well. I remmeber getting 30 quid on a Sunday, it was sweet. If you ask any paper boy they will tell you x-mass tips are always there.
  6. Have people also thought about not being weighty themselves? Save a few pounds before a ride and go take a pooo. I thought i would change the wording i used there.
  7. Right on. But who says you couldn't ride trials on it today? Hard work but none the less it was a nice frame. I don't know if the geometry has changed much. People run bmx race frames on ramp.
  8. I could get up walls 3 foot tall before being able to move forward on the back wheel. Apart from the occasional wheelie. The first real trials bike i had was a Monty x-hydra 219 with a seat. That was 2 years into riding. Then i gave up shortly after and started bmx for 3 or 4 years and now here i am again but with a lonnnng bike. But it doesn't matter how much you practice to a certain extent. You learn quicker if your having fun. It's hard to push your self when riding alone and i find i always get alot further with the help of friends.
  9. I'm not a fan of bikes that are rear end heavy. I like them to be fairly equal. My mod has put on serious weight since i put a creeper crawler on the back. I don't like that too much. Light bikes are always nice. But strength comes first.
  10. You can answer your own question by looking at the specs. The main difference is the bb rise. And the Czar has alot of it. I found it rides better than a mod. I've only sessioned it for half hour at most. And i've never rode the Zenith. CZAR short. Wheelbase: 1070mm Chainstay Length: 375mm BB Rise: 60mm Head Angle: 71.5 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 650mm (25.5") Weight: 2.171kg/4.79lbs Zenith Weight: 2.2kg Wheelbase: 1070mm Chainstay Length: 375mm BB Rise: 25mm (dependant on fork) Head Angle: 72 degrees I just copied and pasted those Clearly see that the Czar is a high bb rise bike. And the Zenith is a little more both wheels orientated. Chris King headsets are nothing special i find but it's still a expensive product free which you could sell. Now i know the Czar has alots of topics about it so use search and see what you think.

    New Monty!

I suppose this would be the ideal time to ask.. 'what the hell is up with Monty bmxs' They offer a lifetime guarantee on the bikes/ frames but is this just against manufacturers defect in workmanship or anything within the lifetime of the product? No doubt only a month.
  12. A chemical of some kind and iron wool? Don't brush to heavy though, your laquer won't be there.
  13. If the stickers you don't want are on the down tube you could always put a protector of some kind on. That will just cover it up. Then when you come to sell it, it will be worth more.
  14. I can't believe no one else has said this but.. 'dude, what the hell' Like some other guy said buy of ebay and sell. Computer games are easy money. Good ebay finds sell well at car boots or games shops. Even if it's only a quid a shot then you are still making something. (thats more than you said your xc bike is worth)

    Bmx Questions

I never really bothered to look into it before but it seems a good idea. Aluminium rails will slide. Smiths won't turn into toothpicks (literally) Super duber light weight. But will they snap, crush, bend? If they could get them to bend rather than snap that would be cool. Maybe with the steel inner it should work. Will this be the end of snapped axles? A disadvantage people will foget, they won't spark!
  16. Front freewheel is suppost to be cheaper and lighter. Only slightly on both cases though. Depending setup i guess. I did find one problem. Chain tension when the bb axle is bent. It makes it so annoying. When manualing on a bumpy surface the chain sometimes comes off i found.

    Bmx Questions

Like poopipe said most bars are around the 25" mark. Some bars however (like slams) are real tall and have a enormous support bar which i'm not a fan of. Chances are your current bars are 7.25" tall, give or take .25" If you like high bars then defenatly go with some slams or badger bars. I ride macneil lighter 5's. 7" tall 5 degree backsweep which makes them slightly longer. (that wasn't the reason for having 5 degree though) The wide range of choice, is yours Please please don't buy from winstanleys [edit] How do i spell defenatly???
  18. That nollie 180 down that set was pretty sick. He should of gone back and landed it.
  19. I decided to bottle it in the end. Ended up riding newport on the bmx. Got soo wet just getting there. I would of come but chances were i wouldn't have had much fun.
  20. Yeh man, that was sick. What frame are you riding? Where is that brick quarter? This vid can stay on my computer.
  21. 6 quid at the Temple Meads Station. It is indoor as well. On sunday's you might be able to get away with not paying. Meeting place still 11 oclock next to the big 3 round the side of Temple Meads?
  22. Cheltenham has a few things kicking about. There is a mini ramp 40mins down the road from the main park. Pittville used to be wood. The council started to removed ramps from as far back as the summer. Now there all gone. Its just metal now. Oh by the way Pitville is the park luke is riding in the vid. There is also a concrete street compless just built in Gloucester.
