Huge congrats to everyone who’s completed recently—definitely feels like we’re joining the “grown-up” club now 😂 We just viewed a place this week and absolutely fell in love. It ticks all the boxes for us: decent garden, good location, and surprisingly within budget. We already messaged the owner saying we’re ready to make an offer and will be getting in touch with the estate agent first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed! Since we’re first-time buyers, we’re hoping that gives us a bit of an edge. Still shopping around for the best mortgage deal—who’s everyone gone with? We’ve heard good things about Nationwide and Halifax for first-timers. Also starting to think about the practical side of moving—like sorting storage and outdoor gear. I mean if you live in the southwest everywhere is considered "the north". The M4 is the North/South divide.

We're closing on a house next month. After living in a mobile home for the better part of 20 years it's going to be nice living in a place that doesn't have wheels underneath. 2 bedroom single floor house with a massive basement for storage and a bike workshop. A bunch of brand new stuff in there. Kitchen is all new with all new appliances including a dishwasher. Water heater and furnace are brand new along with all new windows. Shouldn't have to worry about anything for years.
