  1. hahaha. thanks for taking the time to come out and film the whole weekend Mark, especially since I took a minimum of 100 attempts to do anything I tried. Looking forward to seeing the clips put together
  2. Ian - thanks for putting this together, i had an ace weekend and really glad I made the journey down. As i said to many, it was really good to ride different spots then the usual, and found myself pushing myself well out of my comfort zone, its been a while since i've done that anyway... It was really good to meet some new guys and sit back and watch the many skills people have. Weather didnt stop us too much all in all, lets hope for another ride of similar style again soon. Definitely be back down to london sooner rather then later.
  3. Thanks guys. i'll do my best to put together a decent video. Finding the time between injuries and work is a pain in the hoof just now, but I will try get something together sooner rather than later. Again, due to work schedules of the other riders round here then yea I have spent alot of time of late riding on my todd. i don't mind it so much, earphones in, GO! When i am filming, I don't like too many people about as it can be distracting for the video / riding when I am trying to concentrate on landing something. I try never to repeat a line I have done before in a video, so like to have full concentration on the line. Thanks again guys
  4. Looking forward to this ride, even if I might not actually be able to ride trials! Damn foot! Anyone able to recommend the best pain killers they know of that are easy to get a hold of / legal?
  5. Watched the video last night, didnt realise it had been around for so long. I hope the project / protest gets the outcome it seemingly deserves. Good quality video as well.
  6. Cheers for all the comments guys Hey man, Sorry for the late reply, I love both how both frames ride if I am honest, and I haven't noticed too much difference between either. I am going as big on the console as I was on the arcade, if not slightly bigger, so havent had too much difficulty in transferring over. Inspired state the frame kit is a little heavier than the arcade, but I havent noticed it at all. I prefer the slightly longer chainstays, and the longer HT has put my bars up a little higher which means that the reach isn't too dissimilar to the arcade. The little details is what makes the arcade stand out - the drop-outs for example are just an off-the-shelf on the console, whereas the arcades are a fair bit neater when teamed with the chain tugs at the rear and the stiffer axle set-up on the front. I'd recommend either, just depends on whether you are willing to spend the extra £100 on those little details. I know thats not the on-the-fence opinion you probably wanted, however I've not had months to decide yet. Ask me again by christmas and i will tell you my thoughts in full. I will say out-right that I prefer the paint job on the Console. The matt black look on the arcade is awesome, but nothing on the console IMO, just depends on how you team up the rest of the components.
  7. I recently got mine built up and I love it. Threw together some clips before I start putting a full video together anyway....comments welcome. Vimeo Video -> Original Video

    Clips

Great wee video flipp...looking forward to your next full instalment
  9. that hampden park video would have worked much better if hampden was dark when the filmed it, then all the lights coming on. wasted opportunity
  10. No worries flipp, cheers for the offer though,. Will be down in london from 8am on the saturday, leaving 8pm sunday so plenty of time to get some riding in!
  11. Sounds like a plan. Give me a should on FB and we will sort something out. p.s. cramping your style....LOL.
  12. Its a little off topic, but is anyone going to be around on the Saturday as well for some riding as well? Also looking for a place to stay on the Saturday night so if anyone is able to offer that'd be amazing...
  13. Any mainstream media mention should be classed as good, no matter the size or quantity. That is if you want the sport to be as mainstream / big as you seem to be suggesting. Please note the following is only my opinion / view of things at the moment: I for one, am quite happy with the sport being the size it is. People who ride trials make a living from the sport (demo teams, shops, trials companies), and they don't try to just rinse the sport of all its cash then leave. Those in the sport do seem to have a genuine interest in doing it for the benefit of the sport. If you were to increase the interest in the sport too rapidly, the numbers of companies just trying to make a quick buck from the sport would increase significantly. This would create a sharp rise in revenue in the sport, then no doubt it would drop just as quickly. Many forget that trials is a difficult sport to learn, it isnt just 'pick up the bike and suddenly you are doing 6 ft hooks' it takes years of dedication to get to an average standard, and many people can't hack this. This makes it difficult for the sport as a whole to take off and become 'big'. Futhermore, there is too much in-fighting in the sport, people come along and see that there is an unfriendly online presence which immediately puts people off. I never have an issue with people on rides and love a bit of banter, but on here people get offended easily if you don't have the same opinion as them, while 60% of the topics always seem to have a trolling / aggressive undertone. I don't think we will ever be a 'massive sport', i quite like doing something a bit different, and I would quite like it to stay the way it is. I've been doing it for 15 years, people come and go, but it has survived none-the-less. It will always be around, but i don't think it'll suddenly become like the size of BMX'ing or MTB'ing because its a sport that is difficult to comprehend. I have many more opinions on this topic, but I am going out for a beer / dinner with the other half Aurevoir

    TRA and a camera

Why I like watching TRA videos: Such a beast Thomas. Keep it coming.
  15. awesome video. Leo is such a good rider.
  16. Hmmm, never knew that. Certainly doesn't paint him in a good light...
  17. haha. Each to their own Dave, I like both Cav and Brad from what I have seen of them. I wasn't trying to say I didn't like Chris, just wondered where the gent who made the comment got it from
  18. Is this based on Chris Froome's autobiography? If so, then of course its going to be biased towards his side of the tension. Have you read Brad's autobiography? If it was based on something else, an internet link or similar, could you put it up as it is something I'd like to read I haven't been following the tour as much this year, its a shame that Cav' is out more than Froome being out as i prefer the excitement / build up of the sprints, although Chris will be missed more when the climbs come because of his prowess in that area.
  19. Arcade spec stem on mine and i find it perfect. I had the same stem on my Hex (albeit with lower bars), and then my skye, then the marino, on the arcade and moved over to a console now and the stem feels perfect. They just take a little bit of getting used too, however i can't fault the geo for any of the moves you've listed
