  1. Well that would be breaking the rules, but this technically isn't. Mark's not picking on you, he's like this to everybody else who advertises too. Just ask Dan 'kin ko and Waynio. You see, companies pay good money to advertise on the forum. Such advertising is important as it pays for the site hosting. However if people are allowed to plug their products then that's essentially advertising. Such advertising is likely to leave companies like Cleanbikes, Tartybikes, BikeDock wondering why they bothered shelling out cash when they could just sign up as MrKoxx69 and tell us all how good the new Koxx bike (available from such and such shop) is.
  2. I've been doing it for about 10 minutes... I think I've logged onto www.hotornot/mingersforstephen.org.asm. Highest mark so far from me has been a 4 or 5, yet others are rating them 9.4 and stuff. Crazy. I'll whack me up in a bit, I'm buff.
  3. Me and my mum once broke down in the middle of the M25/M40 junction, actually on the chevrons. The police came along after 5 minutes, and I wound down the window and said "Is there a problem constable?" I've been driving for over a year, I've had a bit of a bump, but I've never had any issues with the law.
  4. How can it be harsh, I suggested the charity in the first place.... tard. Anyway, natural trials is ok. I gave it a go last year, did about five comps, but will only do one or two more if any. Yes they're doing something for the sport in the UK, but I'm of the opinion that natural and street are pretty much two different sports.
  5. Give it to the World round being held in Britain this year/next year. They need funding for that. I don't know much about it but I'm sure there's info on Biketrial UK. Either that or you could buy a Big Issue for a few months. Edit: It's happening this summer, 9 weeks time apparently. They seem to be desperate for money, and if it goes well then there could be more UK rounds. Not that I care...
  6. I've spent hours trying to tap and my front wheel hasn't hit the wall once. However I was doing it on my own, and I've never seen a tap before :"> I might have to give them a lot of practise this summer.
  7. It's been done before, and it will be done again, but I couldn't an existing topic so I'll start this one. As the sun's out a lot more at the moment I'm presuming people are doing more riding and taking more photographs than in the previous few months. I've taken a few nice photographs in my time, but this is without doubt my favourite. I like the framing, the colour but mostly the fact that there's interest in the foreground and the background as well as the subject. Please post your favourite trials photographs, ideally you should be the photographer or the subject of the photographer. Oh yeah, ideally the photographs should be quite good. 8. They've all impressed me with their editing and creativity, however the idea of limiting the videos to around the one minute mark was for the best because all the videos longer than that either bored the shit out of me, or just seemed too long. As much as you may argue with me, there's not a lot you can do with a curb. For somebody who's never sessioned a curb before, then there's of course a fair bit to do, but a video with a quick tempo and no faffing about, should see everybody's repetoir used up in a minute. Just my opinion, but as good as you are, curb videos will always be repeptitive. Plus if you stretch it out to more than a minute or so then you're going to bore a lot of people shitless.
  9. National Rail Enquiries - 08457 48 49 50 www.national-rail.co.uk Would be cool to see you there Steve. I can meet you at Euston or give you directions if needed.
  10. Me, Tim and special guests will be at the Shell centre from 11am. I'm hoping to ride a few different locations, but you're all free to bum around at the Tate and St Paul's if you'd prefer... I'll be filming for my new video out shortly, so dress smartly. Matt, Chai, Mike - are you coming? Anyway, feel free to come along, etc etc. Stephen.
  11. Calm down everybody... Dan - your post was pointless, but we've all been guilty of posting rubbish in our time. aaron_trials_247 - it's not your job to tell people how they can and cannot post, it's the job of the moderators and admin. If there's anything on the forum annoying you, just report it to admin and they'll deal with it if it needs dealing with. I can't wait until Sunday, as I posted here, I'll be coming along, possibly a bit early to warm up a bit. Blah blah blah, looking forward to it, blah blah blah see you all there. Stephen.
  12. Not wanting to judge it before I've seen it, I'm presuming it's as bad as all the other Koxx/Monty videos. The only good trials videos I've seen have been Tricks and Stunts, Contact, Evolve and revolution, the rest are technically inferior made by a bunch of retards who can't edit or more importantly film for shit. But that's just my prediction, who knows this may be different. I hope so anyway. Stephen.
  13. Speak to your mum and dad, organise a meeting with the headteacher. Then they'll know that you're serious. For calling you a poof, if you have a witness then you could have him sacked, or at least recieve a written apology.
  14. Ha ha, that's the problem with correcting spellings, I'm bound to get caught out. As it happens I do know it's Martyn Ashton, but when I'm talking about Ashton and Hawyes then it's easy to get confused. I didn't know that Ashton had done it on his 26" though, so that was news to me :D
  15. Personally I'd invenst in a good stress ball, breathe deeply and count to 10. Why not speak to the headteacher before embarrassing yourself in the local paper. If when you've heard the school rules, you think you've been hard done by, then and only then, you could write to the newspaper. A few things to consider: When they told you to cut your hair, who said it and in what context was it said? It's not as if they dragged you kicking and screaming to the hairdressers is it? The blonde streaks in your hair... did you have to dye them out? Surely it's not much effort to dye it again. As for the flesh tunnels, when you wear the school uniform, you are representing your school in the local community. I personally think it's perfectly fine for the school to ask you to take them out. I think you'd get a similar opinion at most schools.
  16. It's Martin Hawyes and Bongo aka John Blundell. As far as I'm aware the only backflips on trials bikes in the UK have been done by Martin Ashton and Bongo, on a 24" and 20" respectively. As for the worldwide figure, I'm almost certain that some of the American riders have done flips on trials bikes. However, bear in mind that a lot of the American trials bikes are what we'd consider street bikes over here. Stephen Morris.
  17. If that was the argument then you'd be the winner :P
  18. If this were an argument competition then you can only win by giving me all the details upfront. As it happens, techers and students are different people. At my school you weren't allowed to wear rings, but my teachers wore wedding rings. At my school we had homework to do, but the teachers didn't have any. At my old school we had to wear ties, but the teachers didn't. I could go on. Write to the local paper, but if the school regulations are for students not to be allowed flesh tunnels then what's your argument? You joined the school, signed a form which would have said something like "terms and conditions available on request" and that's that.
  19. Girls can wear a skirt or trousers, what are you going to do? It's life, girls and boys are different (speak to mummy), and the rules are therefore also different. How can you compare flesh tunnels in your ears to earings? Your hair... they didn't like it long so asked for it short which seems fair enough. You put streaks in it, but they didn't want those either which is again fair enough. It seems unfair that girls can dye their hair. But to be fair you did join this school when there are plenty of other schools that you could go to if you don't like their rules.
  20. Milton Keynes is shit. Of all the locations I've ridden (and that's quite a few) , Milton Keynes has been the worst by far in every respect.
  21. If somebody is smoking in my face: outside the door of a shop I'm exiting, under the bus shelter when it's raining etc, then I usually ask them to put it out because it's making me sick. They often do, but sometimes don't. People who can't sit on a bus for 15mins, and have to get their cigarettes ready as they're getting off the bus, that's what makes me laugh.
  22. I've been watching it since the beginning. I didn't think I'd like it, but it's a really good programme. I'd recommend it to almost everybody really, very captivating television. Mondays - ITV2 - 8pm.
  23. Thanks to everybody who did the survey, anal sex is more popular than I thought! The point of my survery was to prove how sad we all are, we spend far too much time on Trials-Forum, and it's probably because the sense of community is missing from our real lives. Oh well, thanks for your help, I've got plenty of answers now, so no need for anybody else to do the survey (unless you want to). Stephen.
  24. Thanks for everybody who's helped out so far. If a few others could answer the question I'd be very grateful. Cheers, Stephen.
