I think smoking should be banned. BOOM That solved the problem.

Hey everybody, a few days ago somebody kindly let me know that I have a 3000 word essay due on Monday. I've managed to get an extension until Tuesday morning, but I'm still cutting it fine. I'd really appreciate it if you could answer a few of the following questions. I can't see it taking you longer than 3 minutes. Don't worry if you can't answer every question. Whack your answers underneath the questions - thank you! How old are you? What made you join Trials-Forum? Are you, or have you been a member of another Internet forum? Which one? What made you join? How often do you use Internet forums? Do you use forums specifically for getting answers to questions and discussing relevant topics, or do you use them to chat to friends as well (chit chat)? Have you found yourself sat in front of an Internet forum for more than an hour, sifting through posts just to keep yourself entertained? Have you ever had an Internet forum as a homepage? Have you ever had anal sex? As a member of an Internet forum, do you feel like you belong to some sort of community? Define the word community in your own words Do you feel you are a part of a community? (not trials forum) Once again, thanks for your help. Stephen.

Just a note to say that Tim can't make it either due to a lack of trains. In the middle of Battersea Park there's a big lake. On the side of the lake furthest away from the Power station and the big blue gas thing there are a load of rocks over a black fence and up a muddy slope. So if people are planning on going to this ride, then that's where you need to go. With no Andy or Tim though, I'm not sure if anybody's going...

Believe it or not I am aware of the search function. I searched but didn't find anything. As for it being my project, by that logic there'd be a lot less posts on the forum. I haven't bought MBUK for a few years now because it's crap, but I'll browse a copy at work if I can't find everything. Thanks for your help.

Nice one thanks, 1 down, 2 to go.

1. That's a front brake 3. The spreadsheet's helpful, but they don't do any rims to fit my frame. Thanks though :(

I'm almost certain it wasn't named after Matt, but I couldn't tell you what the MS2 stands for I'm afraid.

Right, I haven't ridden in over 3 months. My bike's in a bit of a bad way, and university is incredibly busy at this time of year. But as it happens, I'm making a Trials magazine for a university project, so I need to get out and about on rides to take photos. To cut the crap, can you helpful bunch help me out with the following questions? Where can I get a 2004 silver, rear Magura HS33? I haven't used the 2005 ones yet, but I'm not sure I'll get on with the lever that much, did anybody else think the same thing but change their mind later? Where can I find a metallic black TSG helmet? Just before each summer I buy one, and 12 months later I forget where I got it from... and no Bike Dock don't sell the one I'm after. Spokage... I'm after 32 black spokes for a rear Mavic EX721 to run with a Chris King - any recommendations? They'll need to be fairly strong, but I'm smoothish, so I wont be needing any ridiculously strong spokes. Thanks for the help, Stephen.

Don't be a bell end, this is a forum, he has every right to say what he wants provided that it's valid. -
I can't come as I don't get my student loan until Monday, and I don't have any money. See you all over the Summer months, enjoy the ride and hope the sun shines for you.

I never had any Lego or K'nex, I've always found building stuff boring, I'd rather go and climb a tree.

Nice looking back wheel. May I suggest resizing the image (Y)

I didn't realise you could get rims in those colours! I've only ever seen black, white, silver and gold before but there are reds and greens and yellows! The site looks pretty slick as it happens, to be honest I've ignored Vizbikes up until now.

I want to work in television. It seems like a good place to work, something different happening each week, and it's well paid. I'm in my second year of University at the minute doing a degree in Media Studies, so hopefully that will set me off on the right path.

Am I the only person who thought this was crap?
-
You wont be saying that when there are 60 - 80 people there. At the minute I expect there'll be about 20 - 30 people which is more than enough. The more people that come along the more likely it is that riders will get bored of queueing for a wall and just go off with their mates. So basically, if 40 people come along, then you'll be stuck in a little group of about 10 because everybody else got fed up and went somewhere else. I don't care how many people come, but some of the big rides in the past have been ridiculous. I remember going to a big London ride at about 7pm (I'd been at a comp during the day) and even at 7pm when almost everybody had gone home there were still too many riders about. From my experience, the big rides are often shit compared to the smaller ones.

Only from somebody who has the video already I guess, sadly I "accidentally" deleted it, but maybe somebody else could send it to you over MSN... Or if you can wait, Trials Shack will be back up tomorrow at 6am.

I'm there, this will be my first ride (of any sort) in well over a month, but hopefully my bike will be working nicely. It's been fairly warm recently but I haven't been able to ride, so hopefully it will be warm next Sunday. Stephen Morris.

I didn't go for many reasons. Firstly I saw the video for the first event that you did, and I was unimpressed. It just didn't look like the sort of event I wanted to go to. I wont go into the finer details unless you want me to, but I'd have much rather ridden a new location that I haven't ridden before than the pallets and benches I saw on the video. You seem to be annoyed that so many people didn't turn up, but I think you need to sort your geography skills out. For a start, Wales has a population of about 3 million people. That's a 20th of the population of Britain. Yes North Wales isn't too far from Liverpool and Manchester, but bear in mind that a very large population of people (I don't have the statistic) live in the South East of England. That means that a good portion of the riders in this country live at least 3 or 4 hours away, and that's by car. You say that it takes whatever by train from London, well I'm afraid people don't live in train stations, they have to get there, which can take over an hour in itself. What I'm basically trying to say is that you live in North Wales, you can never expect a lot of people from the south east to come along, because its a very long way. Plus lets be fair, not everybody can drive - by train, a trip to Wales from the South East is a very long one. I can see why you're annoyed, and well done for all this effort you've gone to. However, if you're going to come online and point the finger, then you should consider the fact that a lot of people in this country live a long way away from your event. I personally didn't come because it didn't look like it was worth the trip. Even if I lived an hour away I probably wouldn't have bothered. Have you ever ridden London? Some of the best street in the country, if not the best. As far as I'm concerned there's no reason why you shouldn't come to London to ride... oh yeah that's right I live close by so it's easy for me to get there. Apologies for this mass of text that makes no real sense, but I feel it's wrong to accuse people of being lazy and glued to the Internet just because they didn't go to your event. You can't make people feel guilty for not going by saying they should "support the event", because they might not want to go.

He's got a Curtis, what can you expect?

I downloaded it a week or so ago, but couldn't think of anything particularly interesting to say about it so I didn't post. Seeing as you're desperate for people to comment, here goes... the riding was very good, better than me so nice one. However, the video as a whole was tedious and repetive at times. Why not spend a bit longer making the video, travel about a bit and sidehop up a few different walls. I think the problem nowadays is that most videos on here are pretty much the same. Same music, same angles, same moves over and over again. It's just getting difficult to distinguish between different peoples videos as all the average ones seem to merge into one. Bear in mind that this is just my opinion. I'm not trying to tell you that my videos are the best because they're not, I just feel that with your trials ability and the fact that you have a decent enough camera, you could have done a lot more with your video.

Ebony porn is just a way of classifying black porn, they don't have to have ridiculously dark skin.

From those lists there are only 4 bands I want to see: Pixies, Franz ferdinand, Oasis and Bloc Party. I've seen Oasis and have tickets for them and Bloc Party for later in the year. I've never been a fan of the whole festival concept, I find it irritating enough sitting through an hour of support bands at a normal gig, let alone a days worth until the headliners come on.
-
I have no bands. I got a beat bullying one in the post the other day, but it was 6 months after I asked for it, so I gave it to some girl at uni. What bands are there, what colours are they?

I'll be at the next comp after Darsham, promise! Even Essex is a bit of a trek for me, so I'll be doing a few Hampshire comps as well. Anyway, I'll send off my essex membership and ACU forms off in a week or so and ride the next 4 or 5 Essex and Hampshire comps. I'm sure you wont miss me, all my fives (even in blue) make the Essex riders look unprofessional. Stephen.
