  1. Build the bike right and it'll be just fine! The ones that tend to break are the lightweight competition-orientated bikes. People like us (the street guys) who run bikes built for the kinda riding you're looking at don't run into breakages quite so often as we build our bikes up to take it. Comp bikes are getting down to like, 8-9kg and getting ridden hard on the streets at that weiht, which is why frames crack, forks snap, wheels get wrecked, it's just natural. But then take my steel framed Leeson 24" for example, it weighs little under 12kgs and is pretty bombproof. Yeah I have to straighten a wheel out occasionally or change something that i've lkilled, but all in all it's built to last a lot longer and take far more than others!

A lot of people have, but then there seem to be more than enough complaints from other people.
  3. Maggy mounts on that bmx = cool as f**k. If i ever had another one i'd love to stick some vee mounts on it and run my Ultimate

Can someone just blacklist him after this? He's quite clearly absolutely f**king useless.

Thought you meant straight-up sticking them in. Why not sell off your old gear? At least £250 second hand towards it.

Good luck putting your standard hubs into that. There's a reason those parts are supplied with the kit
  7. "The Leeson" to me, "Mel" to Mel... She's not very inventive. My truck's called Bernard though. He genuinely has a personality.

That's actually pretty reasonable for what you're getting! As above, saving will start now. This'll definitely replace the 609 if it ever has a horrendous accident/ the chain tensioner pisses me off again
  9. Saw this on Judders' facebook last night, absolutely love it dude!

Saw this on the news this morning, looked pretty horrendous. Rip that man.
  11. Loved that. Need to sort a euro trip next year to get some riding with you guys!
  12. The arms themselves are about the lightest around dude! As said above, the TNN is probbaly your best bet - they're pretty damn light. You'd save barely anything switching to anything else, just keep running the best cranks around

    Close

Front disc, rear vee. Well set up vee of any kind is a winner, I run avid ultimate arms with an xtr lever and linear slick cable with some heatsink reds, and a nice big hope up front. Never used the hubs, but i'd highly recommend a Pro2T out back.
  14. Hex' are good! A lot of people I ride with use them and they all rate them very highly. I used to have a Xen 'til I lost it, absolutely loved that thing. If the Hex' are even half as good i'd get one. Having said that, i'm currently reppin' a Pro-Tec Lasek Classic which is about as far away from the two above as you could really be. Stick with something light and comfortable, you'll be away And try and man up a bit and ride without gloves. Not sure if it's just the bravado talking but i've always found you get a better feel for things without.
  15. f**k all like every other TF-based row? TO THE MANSFIELD AMPUTHEATRE!

If that bike's still lying on the pool table where me and Sam left it can we have it please?

And me, no more working weekends = riding time with my babes <3
  19. Leeson are second-hand only unless you talk to Clive very very nicely and Revell's always rode a bit weird - to me anyway! Could look into a Marino, custom frames, cheap, and I think he's using cromo now? There are still a few Pashleys, Leesons, Curtis' around second hand, just takes a little patience to find yourself one!
  20. I don't think that could've gone any further over your head dude...
  21. In "keyboard badman" news; this guy. My inbox is still empty mate, if you wanna give it the big 'un at least have the balls to follow it through. Woke up fine today though, thanks for the interest
  22. I miss those! They protected your frame til you hit it really f**king hard, then you got creases along the downtube from the steel rods haha. Excellent.
  23. Is that the faint sound of you backing down? Night babe x
