I like it, always loved the old swirl paint guitars but it'd cost about £250 a guitar to do mine. Is your stuff easy/cheap to do?
-
Lol, ok I was just cutting forks. I have good pics, but I have to wait for my custom stickers, here's a dramatic one for now.
-
Nice! Yeah my mate here's got a red one too so I'll get some pics of that (he's shit with a camera) I'm in the "hacksaw's blunt and cant decide on a stem" period for the next week or so.
-
Can't tell if you're serious...lol. I'll have mine all set up tomorrow or sunday so I'll get some proper pics when it's done. After seeing both in the flesh I can't decide if I prefer my blue or the candy red.

How much was the cheque for? I wondered why his shirt looked weird at the start.

Try and find out how far off they are, I've built plenty of wheels with the wrong spokes, but no one likes spokes going through the rim tape.
-
If it's symmetrical both sides like a Pro2 trials with identical flanges then yeah, the spokes SHOULD all be the same.

I don't like the Archive font, it's different to the downtube one and doesn't match, I like the downtube sticker.

I didn't know Paperclip was Luke until I saw the pic (not the bike)
-
Luke, that's hideous lol.
-
Na.

Do you pull your rear brake when you front wheel hop?

I always pull my front brake when I front hop.... -
No, it's just shit lol.

I agree about bikes being built for pics, my only guess is Marino doesn't have loads of top quality parts laying about to build up frames, I've seen a few builds in the past and they're often odd wheels or used battered stuff & I think that'd look worse than no pics. We'll have ours next week so we'll all take good pictures and sort that, I hear Ross is no longer using a grind on a street bike, so that's good to hear, and Luke doesn't know how to use a camera so you'll probably only see his bike head on from 15 feet away.

That's not true, especially on the rear, if you weigh 10 stone you might get away with it for most stuff, but I weigh 14.5 stone and there are bigger heavier riders than me, my Saint is amazing with a 203 rotor, but I will never trust it on big gap drops like I would a HS33. So no, a 203 is not overkill for everyone, would you rather have too much power or not enough?
-
No idea, but I would have thought the official Radfest photos would be up almost 3 months on! Haven't seen any.

Archive reach is 665mm. I like the fork dropouts, just a solid lump would look a bit cheap, it's more for looks than weight as it won't save much. Strength shouldn't really be affected there, you should see what Rockman (I think) do to some of their dropouts!

I like how bent your cranks/bb are.

You look like an Ozonys. Blue & gold will look awesome. You going for black frame and fork yeah? Maybe a black bar & stem? Possibly some more black to compliment the black and really set the black off against the other black? Little bit of ermm....little bit of the darker shades in there? Keep it pretty low key? Yeah.... I said all that in Stewie Griffin's voice.

Not as nice as mine (not an Archive)

Marino has some Archive frames and forks ready to go, fully heat treated cro mo, weight for my frame is 2.140 kg, which is 4.7 lbs, the Archives will be pretty much the same, as the only difference is minor geo changes. Geo is 980, +20, 74.5, 360 Colours are 1" & 1/8th headset and normal Euro bb in... Orange Purple (Purple frame pictured is not an Archive, it's custom, just for colour purposes until I get sent the pic) Dark green Black gold (Don't ask, I don't know either) Dark blue metallic Candy red Matte black Integrated headset & Euro bb in.. Matte black x3 Black gold Dark blue metallic Blue metallic These are finished and boxed and cost about £250 posted to the UK depending on the exchange rate that day, I have to double check forks but they only work out to an extra £40 or something (410 x 30 disc) so you might as well! As far as I know there are 1 or 2 unpainted ready for requests, and if you go to Marinos Facebook page you'll se more pictures he's uploaded.

You only need 2" above that mod tyre, that looks like it'd clear it.
