The blue Skye has oversized forks so size wise it all matches up a bit better, this has just the headtube, but I like it. Always wondered...is the head tube longer to make up for the 20+ mm of headset you're losing so front end height stays the same height? As the stacker/stem situation all looks the same.

They're steel, they don't need to be fat, and if they were much fatter they'd be be a lot heavier.
-
Yeah I like all the detail & stuff, I think it's all in that front end. Trialtech tensioners are greatt, the positioning just reminded me of that dodgy looking prototype Zoot on here a few months ago.
-
If the Skye's not covered the rest probably won't be then, maybe the steel ones. I love the Fourplay, but is it only me that thinks the Console is ugly? Just looks like a stretched bmx, more so than the Arcade.
-
I'd ride the shit out of that Fourplay, not sure about that tensioner system though. Is it true the warranty's void if you use a 203 rotor?

Did the stand even have rubber in the clamp? Textbook Halfords.

No way an sd7 over an Xtr! Sd7 are a nice shape & slightly longer but they feel cheap & develop so much rattle they might as well be an sd3. Xtr levers have bushings on the pivot to keep rattle away, not just a pin slid through a hole like avid. Even one from 1998 will be perfect.

I want one of these heavy bycicals.

I like it, do more!

Leo is a beast, I don't think there are many riders better than him at the moment. I think all of them have upped their game & are going even bigger, and that tyre tap to tailwhip drop?? Can Danny even do that? No footed backflip on a tiny jump! It must push them further all being so good and riding together. Also the chance to win all that prize money is pretty awesome, hope it catches on!
-
Let me know when you do it, I wanna do it too! Fresh water's not too bad, just make sure you hose it off after, salt water is another matter...

Haha, nice. Seriously though, trials seems pretty small in Germany compared to here, but don't forget, the only places I've seen them for sale here is Radical Bikes & Tarty Bikes. No big shops sell them.

We're priority, street trials capital

They're brilliant.

I'm gonna guess most people wouldn't attempt it, probably me included, if you don't go sideways enough and hit the ramp on the way down you could ruin your arm for good, or worse. Would you have big crash mats for practice like Road Bike Party? No one's gonna just fly at it & hope for the best!
-
I think you should probably get several riders to do it, I reckon there'd be a pretty big injury/backing out factor.

Difference listed is 38 grams, you really ain't gonna notice that, the sidewalls more than make up for it too. They actually came up about 2mm narrower and 1mm lower profile than my Holy Rollers on the same rims, so I have some clearance now. Tarty give measurements but they're measured on different width rims, 32mm (Maxxis) & 38mm (Conti), that might have a small effect. And today, several days on, they still stink.
-
Yep! Black chili smells bad.
-
Coming from Holy Rollers these sidewalls feel more than thick enough, even just from doing some gaps & landing sideways etc, I can see it's gonna take a lot more to fold them off the rim than the Maxxis, which I was doing a lot. Heavyweight support without the weight, you won't need a DH tube, I'm using Tesco tubes just to see what I can get away with. I'll say one thing though, one of them was a bitch to get seated properly (rim is round, tyre was egg shaped) but I got there in the end. I will also be doing NO more skids, I'll change back to the Maxxis if I feel one coming on. I like the little tread pubes they're covered in too. I also noticed they smell quite strong, which has now filled my car.
-
Cheers! I preferred the Maxxis yellow logos but these will do I suppose. It's one of those products where you can feel the quality, I'm very aware I have awesome tyres. I reckon a 26" version would be popular.
-
Got these today, pretty nice! Thick sidewalls, not too thick so they're only 30 odd grams more than Holy Rollers but much more pinch resistant, tread is pretty sticky too, feels good! I won't be pedaling them on concrete though, I pay less for car tyres...

Clearly for bar spins.

EBC red, best pad I've ever used.
