Fair enough, if they're heavier then the spider's probably pretty beefy, my main concern though is the rivets/pins. I've heard rumours of some breaking & there's no way the alu one should outlast the steel one through sheer braking force because of the weak spot, the rivets. I'll take a bent rotor over a snapped one. There are loads of alu vs steel comparisons & opinions out there, some say they're great, some say it's all marketing bollocks/gimmick. But no other bike discipline will have a bike drop 10ft+ to concrete with the rear disc locked, so in that sense, mountain bike reviews are a bit worthless. I wouldn't think you'd break one unless you're going huge, Euan puts his bike through a lot with the alu rotors, he did hit the rear a few weeks ago and bend it, but otherwise they've been pretty good. For 95% of people I don't think they'll make any difference, especially at twice the price. It also wouldn't surprise me if Danny Mac has broken a few.

You will never ever feel the benefit on a trials bike. Ever. The Saint is a DH brake. Also, if you hit these rotors they'll bend easier than the full steel ones. The disc/pad contact part is great, I've got the full steel version of these & they're brilliant, I'm just not a fan of alu spiders on a trials bike. No need for it other than saving a tiny amount of weight.

Haha, I didn't get a computer til 2001/2002. I was on about my 8th/9th frame by then!
-
I didn't have a computer, internet or a camera for about my first 6 bikes...

I meant they don't care about looking stupid, I mean come one, lycra suit under P.E shorts and a T shirt, bright yellow shoes and a few Jitsie items, that takes balls! In public (which does happen) that is just a different story. That's something I like about street trials, there's no stereotypical look, every type of person does it and that doesn't look like that will ever change, this is good.

I know a lot of fads start in trials, mixing & matching colours is just following a crowd and makes no difference, like having Monster Energy stickers everywhere, and there's no need to make shoes bright yellow other than to stand out, at the price of looking a tit, but if they're really grippy and supportive shoes, then something positive has happened, and if that helps out some top comp riders then good. I'm not sure what loose hats and xxxl t shirts on a 10 stone boy ever achieved. Like I said, this is not a serious debate to me, I'm just mocking generic park rats choosing a beanie in summer over a helmet. Or a protective snapback for a flair. I was the worst for never wearing a helmet, but I've been very lucky, so I can look back in comfort and call myself a tit.

I'm not trying to display vast BMX knowledge, because I don't really care about it, I'm simply taking some piss out of the ones that wear denim leggings, loose hats that fall off with every move, because that is 100% poser, which was my original point, there's nothing practical or useful about a hat falling off every ten seconds, it's purely to be a tart and fit in with everyone else doing it. At least trials comp riders don't give a shit what they look like and they seem to do it for performance purposes. I have to admire that more than the kid who sits at the top of a ramp for 4 hours on his bmx wearing all the latest black clothes, again, my original point about lower and mid level riders.

I don't need to follow something religiously to see what it looks like. I know what your typical Emo looks like, doesn't mean I follow the scene. I don't ever follow comp trials, but I'm aware of lycra and Jitsie. But when I do go to the odd skate park I see skinny people with all the above optional extras, don't blame me! I'll wait for you to post a pic of Mark Webb.

Good point, it's 25 degrees out, best bust out the wooly hat! When you're that cool you need to claw back what body heat you can.
-
A lot of low or mid level bmxers are just posers, let's be honest. It's very important wearing the right hat, making sure your t shirt is 4 sizes too big, and your jeans are 4 sizes too small, there are bonus points for being very skinny and having tattoos, these tattoos must be visible at all times or they are worthless. A helmet doesn't fit into this.

Such a hard choice (inspired arcade news and info)

I enjoyed viewing that. Organise another one before winter is here!

Atomlabs (they ain't light)
-
And now I have!
-
I have never seen Limp Bizkit used in a trials video lol.
-
That no handed roll was impressive.
-
Same here, I like a fairly empty park but if it's even slightly busy I just can't be bothered, full of clueless kids, dickheads, posers, retards, loiterers etc.
-
I love the new Fourplay but Fabio's has ended up looking a bit tacky. It could be an Onza from the thumbnail.

I can't pedal up for shit, bunny hops all the way.

Back on the old Norcos, Zeros and Zebdis 10-12 years ago I always used an 80 x 10 stem, sometimes 90x10, if the bb ain't high you don't need the bars at chin height like a lot of people seem to think. A stem with a little bit of rise would definitely look better though, seems weird to have huge bars and a flat stem instead of spreading the rise out between both.

Reminded me of 2007, and as far TGS goes, that's a good thing!

Some nice riding, are those still my old forks? That red slide move was very cool.

That second one is 26"

Please arrange another one for one of my narrow windows of health.

Looked good! I'm annoyed I couldn't come.
