  1. To be honest I moved away when I was 6 months old and neither mum or dad were from there (dad was an air traffic controller and mum was at the met office at Prestwick) so I have no idea what Ayrshire or Irvine is actually like! Brought up north of Aberdeen which was a bit driech(sp?) but good for trials and now in sunny Dorset which isn't bad at all!
  2. Now to find a way to redirect the smoke next door when they kick off their tunes next...
  3. Ah, fair enough. That is quite bargainous. Must admit to having a look at the Vitus FS on CRC that can be done on 'Paypal Credit' also... though the 650b thing still grates a bit!
  4. Surely the best thing about 0% finance (especially with no deposit) is that you don't need to be sensible?!
  5. I doubt it. You'd only need the paperwork if you were involved in preparing the food. If it's sealed retail packaging there shouldn't be a problem. Do the bottles or whatever have a tamper evident lid/seal though?
  6. Are the wipers themselves in good condition though? Also bulbs (including numberplate)- simple things to overlook.
  7. Recent watches: Southpaw good, Mad Max Fury Road, Minions and Maze Runner 2 bad.
  8. Is it wrong that I'm really not feeling the 650b or 29 thing at all? I quite like the idea of upgrading the Meta but would far rather stick with 26...
  9. Sorry, I have no idea. Best ask Tarty I'm afraid.
  10. Yeah my EngD was sponsored by them so I helped develop the aero package for the Focus WRC06 and the Fiesta S2000 and RS WRCs for them. Although I was supposed to send a couple of years up there because everything wind tunnel wise was in Southampton I only spent about 3 months up there plus the odd brief visit for meetings etc.
  11. Glad you're ok. Out of interest where do you work? Somewhere near Workington/Cockermouth? (Worked at M-Sport for a bit so know some of the roads round there.)
  12. I thought it might be an ABS sensor but it does look like it's about to rip itself out... double use as a droop stop!
  13. Because 'Merica? Got to plug in that donut machine somewhere when you're on the john.
  14. I got mine from Trials UK and would be happy to recommend them-quick service and no problems at all.
  15. Not strictly true. That's only the case if the payment comes from your Paypal balance or a linked bank account. If you use a credit card someone still has to pay the 3.4% + 20p or whatever.
  16. I'm quite tempted to get a 1/18 Maverick Ion for messing around with... any thoughts? I used to have a Kyosho Raider 1/10 buggy and a Tamiya Vanessa's Lunchbox years ago but quite like the idea of having a small scale toy to keep in the car and whip out when I'm bored waiting for kids coming through a Duke of Edinburgh checkpoint or something. Don't really want to spend too much so ~£85 for a RTR doesn't seem silly.
  17. To be fair, all he does is clean the damn thing and occasionally drive like a granny down the motorway from the sounds of it so he'll only be losing out on half of that excitement and the rest of us won't be stuck behind another numpty in a hot hatch who doesn't really want to get to where they're going...
  18. Max said his dad would've kicked him in the nuts if he'd given the place away and the team now supports his decision... go figure.
  19. I've always enjoyed the mechanical part of riding and with the kids now it's quite nice to disappear into the garage once they're in bed and rebuild my MTB from my hardtail frame to the FS or whatever. And for simple stuff like truing wheels I'd certainly never consider taking it anywhere.
  20. Not if you go to your LBS. 90% are shit at what they do and know nothing about anything remotely specialist.
