    back pain

i jolted the muscles in my back doing a gap down to gap up, had to jump/fall off the bike and could'nt sit up or lie on my back soo the paramedics arrived to see me lying on my front haha. ended up going to hospital and being in there for 90mins on all types of shit before i could leave, did'nt ride for 2 weeks after it all and took months to heal fully!
  2. i have the black sl and its 15 month old, had to replace about 3 or 4 pawls upto now though with the old sl's that ive had that blew up haha, made a washer out of one of the old sl bodys (the part where the lockring goes on) stopped the inner body cracking soo far? only had one outer go on me though and ive had 6, 4 inner bodys cracked and 1 outer snapped

  4. Smith machines are a bit iffy as I would rather use free weight but I still use them now and again in my gym but only for decline and sometimes incline pressing, I wouldnt think it would mess your joints up though as long as your inline with press etc. dont know what squating is like on a smith but I can see that being more off-putting with squat reps than bench pressing reps as when you squat you use your balance more than when bench press because you put your body down behind your knees with whatever weight your doing. I dont think you would'nt get as strong from the machines in the gym but free weights you have to keep grip and handle constantly when doing whatever exercise.
  5. jump squats are really handy, get a light weight on a barbell or even just a barbell to get used to it, you squat as normal then as you preload down, jump up calmy and controlled to start off with then as you get into it try as hard as you can and even put weight on the barbell if your getting around a foot of the floor, this really helps for jumping on the bike and warms you legs up for heavy normal squating and calf workouts. also a good core exercise would help and tricep training as you can get some powerful frenchies on the bike.
  6. How old is the chain? If its not that old it'll stretch and you'll be able to move the wheel slighty further back?
  7. Love to see what would happen with some one that weigh's 14 stone plus on a/few static hooks. Be like that koxx that had a weight limit
  8. I have the 510hx and its decent enough, the 710 stretched just that little bit more. The 610hx (trial-tech lite) stretched the worst of all and felt "springy" after a month and that being the reason I've never ran one since. Never snapped any of these chains because they are strong for a few months and I dont expect a 350 odd gram chain to last more than 6 months tops, but as said chains are important as they keep you smiling and looking pretty!
  9. put in a lighter tube so you have to run a harder tyre, you get more spring/bouce when you preload and it'll improve your technique with most things if you allow yourself to get used to it :wink2:
  10. thanks for the comments, there only like 4 or 5 clips in my video from morecambe, the rest is in barrow!
  11. looks soo nice i was wanting one but it want in stock when i needed a frame and the bar angle actually works i dont see why people keep going onabout it, i tryed it and it sort of worked for me but i just but my bars back to normalish postion because i look shit with "carthy bar angle"
  12. one of my friend has them on smooth rim and there better than the heatsink yellows
  13. sorry boyyy's see you in 2013 after the end of the world
  14. I think he's just laughing at your spelling
  15. I the kmc610 but the pins dont stick out from the link plates that much compared to the bigger kmc 510 so I use the kmc 510 and join the links together with the chain tool and make sure theres an even amount of pin showing either side of the chain link, and if your still paranoid use some mole-grips to slighty "mushroom" the pin heads.
  16. really good would'nt use any other stem, roomy so no chance of hitting your knees or out, am 6'1
  17. 8.8kg thought it would be lighter?
  18. not really bad but lets say wen i want new bars ill probs be cutting these to get em out ha
  19. Got this built yesterday and was too busy to get picture of it because i was that hyped about riding it but managed to over come the hype today
  20. ohh that is very nice, where can you buy these frames though?
  21. rugby head gear? Mikey C always uses that like, u wont need a helmet on ur brakeless bike mate i never use one because carnt really do much to fall off
  22. I had the tarty stem (125x25)? on my echo pure when I got it and it rode well but nowhere near as good as the mod 3D stem, it's really good, you dont have to run spacers as the stem is pretty high and the clearence for my knee when sidehopping was awesome, no more bruised knees and a "roomy" bike. Only thing I had go wrong was the stem cracked underneith the handlebars but apparently was a rare problem and I now have the rockman stem which comes with a topcap that does'nt bend.
