  1. spent a whole day 'on the road' to go see a Mini only for it to be a mess. Why do people not describe things as they are? :@

  2. yeah Vista is super-shit. But still you are living in 2004
  3. But not even Vista?! Come on!!! I bet you're running Office 2003 as well aren't you?
  4. Someone's Windows isn't genuine! (edit: thought the action centre symbol was the little warning to say the software was all fake and what-not, sorry!) and somebody else is obviously a time traveller. XP sir! Really?!
  5. I ride an old Fourplay (pre-2011) and the geometry is exactly the same as the Element, only difference is you get 4-bolt mounts on the Fourplay, which I prefer personally. So it might be worth looking for one of those, you might get one cheeper. Mine is honestly lovely to ride, feels perfect for me at least.
  6. Generally 20" trials bikes have 19" rear rims, it's just the way it is for perfomance reasons. However so that people understand that they are buying the correct tyre for their 20" bike some tyres may be refered to or stamped as 20", to stop people thinking there is a differance between 19" and 20" bikes; there is not because obviously 19" bikes don't exsit. This is why 20" wheel-ed bikes are normally refered to as 'mods' which comes from modified in that the rear wheel is different in diameter to the front, which was a modification that used to have to be made to bikes before there were any specific bikes for trials. However all you need to know is that your rear wheel IS 19", although it might say 20", this is so that it is easier for people to purchase the correct tyre for their bike as, generally, 19" wheels are rather unheard of. I t's really not that hard to grasp.
  7. yeah I would be up for making a small donation for one getting them for free seems wrong.
  8. my helmet is half covered in random quotes and phrases from various issues of Performance VW magazine I had kicking around, in a somewhat 'bombed' fashion as the cool kids would say.
  9. Purple!!! and a i would love to have a car one like this: thats on a windscreen btw.
  10. Yeah that sounds like a plan then, but maybe if you only want to mess around on a 20" for a while you could look at getting something cheeper, prehaps second hand, and then getting a more expensive 24"/26" bike? I would say running a disc on the front and a rim brake on the rear is best, but it's all personal preferance, plus so long as a brake works with good bite and hold you won't really need to worry about modulation e.c.t while your learning; any brake should do and it shouldn't hold you back.
  11. ^ this before you eat crap when it decides it hates life and wants to kill you.
  12. so I'm guessing you want to do static stuff rather than more flowing types of riding? I you want to ride street more like Danny Mac say, I would say look at a 24" bike, but if you want to be more technical and more like 'propper' trials you're looking at the right kind of bike. In trials the wheel size ie 20", 24", 26" doesnt necissarily have to correlate with your hieght. If you like a manouverable bike go 20". For more roll and to make big moves easier go 26". And for in between go 24". If you want to do fast, bunny hopping moves look at a street bike like an Inspired for example.
  13. okay threesome; do I or don't I? Lesbian friend wants me to 'get invloved' with her and her gf (who is bangable). However she is 'the manly one' and I've known her for years, she recently said she wanted a sex change op. Potential problems: 1. It gets leaked and the whole of the common room sees me as a sex pest. 2. ruins progress with her friend who Ive been quite successful with so far. 3. Makes things awkward between us. Temptations: 1. her girl is hot! 2. Rare opertunity to pass up. 3. IT'S A LESBIAN THREESOME!!! Advice and opinions please?! I have no idea how I feel about this and am currently recieving 'descriptive' text messagesand invitations to which im trying to keep neutral in replying to while I make my mind up. Only problem is I can't! :/
  14. thanks mate, will do, yeah I'm more than willing to travel it just depends if the car is ;P
  15. Hey guys bit of a long shot I know but I'm looking for a first car at the moment and a Mini has become my desired first car. (What better car to do the job, right?) Problem is I don't have much cash to splash, so I was wondering if any of you guys have / know of any Minis that are under a litre (1000, 998, 970,848 anything! I don't care so long as it's a base) that I could pick up for around £1k or under? I am, of course, willing to do some work to get it right: anything electrical (dad's a car-computer builder who's re-wired many Mini's and bikes), I am prepared to do a little body work but really not too much as I don't want the hassle of re-painting and would like a fairly solid shell that would be easy to get an MOT on, would be fairly comfortable with doing a little work under the bonnet so long as I am made aware of what work needs doing, and I would be more than comfortable with interior work. I would also take on un-finished projects so long as the parts are all there and the shell and subframes are in a solid state with a fairly good motor. Sorry for the long and uninteresting post but I have run out of leads on the internet, if you know of any good websites (been using Pistonheads, the usual classic car ones, Gumtree and Ebay) please share as well. Dave in un-related news, this: Is damn spunky!
  16. I know, but it got under my nails, sorry.
  17. *cracked, past tense! Sorry it annoyed me.
  18. yeah deffinately give the MTB the heave-ho, it's much easier on a more specific bike I'd advise you to get a Hex ultimately but that might work out a bit pricey! Once you work out what bits to put on the wish-list don't comprise on your decisions otherwise you will never be satisfied with it.
