  1. Yeah, I was aching like mad from sitting around for that long, but I was getting decent shots on a fairly regular basis, so I didn't get bored until about 4 o'clock, but then I got a bit more enthusiastic when the sun started to go down because I knew that I would be able to get the flash out and make some low-key images like that Robin one
  2. Started at 10AM, stuck at it all day saturday, and got that shot at 17:30PM Worth it I think, got a few other decent ones too, but that one is by far and away the best one I reckon.
  3. Wow thanks Jake! I love it when people say my photos are fake or photoshopped when they actually aren't Everything just turned out perfect in that shot, really pleased with it!
  4. The last bird photograph I will upload, really happy with the results here:
  5. I reckon those would look much better in monochrome, to really draw attention to the shapes

Absolutely love watching you ride Sam, great stuff!
  7. In my experience, doing this has made their performance even worse, definitely not something I personally would recommend doing. Out of interest, why is grinding not an option?
  8. I wondered that too, insane line with brakes never mind without
  9. Yeah, you have to go under the tunnel and take the first right, it takes you up to it from there lol
  10. I can't believe that it is actually real haha They have been blurred out now
  11. Nah dude, I think your style has improved, and back wheel control looks better too
  12. Cool video Williams, some good progression there!
  13. I thought that the little pallet line that you did at 0:10 was sick, really smooth with very few correction hops
  14. I thought a similar thing to Dave, some clips were amazing (especially the sidehop at 1:24, really stylish) and then other clips you seemed to struggle to hold it on the back wheel and on gaps. Nevertheless, cool riding and great to see a full video from you Jake! Can't wait to ride with you at Radfest Hopefully you will still have the Limey by then too
  15. Anyone else ever have issues PM'ing the Admins? Seems neither of them like to click on my messages :P

I think they deal with stuff in order of importance/relavance, if its about a name change just sit tight and it will happen. If its mega important, consider messaging one of the green mods i.e isitafox or someone more active.

Okay thanks Lucy, I will just have to wait then, because neither of mine are that important :D

  16. Insane level of riding! Who was his minder? Looks like Carles Diaz
  17. Thanks very much, really appreciate it Yeah, I have really come to appreciate bird photography, once you do that sort of thing it really does give you an insight into how much of a challenge it is. I have found that it can also become very tedious, and although it can be easy to capture a photo of a bird, getting one that is decent is a serious challenge (like worrying about balancing the focus/D.O.F, exposure compromises, thinking about what sort of background you want, setting up the shot in the right place to attract the most birds possible etc.). Anyway you guys know what it's about Thanks again guys!
  18. In the same way that people have ridden seated, 24" style bikes since the start of trials, lycra has been worn by trials riders since the very start too, and yet everyone bashes riders who wear tights . Just a thought...
  19. Thanks dude! In the top photo, I used a flashgun mounted camera right about 1 foot above the camera to act as a key, and just cancelled out most of the ambient light by working at 1/250, f/11. The shot was taken at sunset, so there wasn't a huge amount of light hitting the background, plus I shot into the sun which also gave me the warm rim light that you can see at the right side of the feeder and on the bird's tail Both shots were with my Tamron 70-300 VC lens, both at 300mm, and both through a double-glazed glass window Here is another one I took this morning, moved the camera even closer (focus distance was about 1.8m) which gave me this, cropped ever so slightly:
  20. Recently I have been trying my hand at some bird photography, and despite the many days which have yielded absolutely no images whatsoever, I have managed to capture a few decent ones, namely these two:
  21. Yeah, it sounds to me like you need to just aim to land on the edge of the wall almost, rather than trying to jump sideways, go upwards as much as possible, then you wont have to worry about momentum carrying you sideways
  22. Congratulations, that is an amazing achievement!
  23. That was amazing, I would have had so much fun if I could have ridden my old 24 like that
  24. Could this be the reason that Abel M. left? Maybe Ot Pi had told him that he would be leaving soon and that Abel might want to consider moving before the new season starts?
