  1. Echo TR is a good choice, I think they're almost as light/are lighter than the Viz single walled but they're 3mm narrower. Hold grinds amazingly (I've had two since November) and aren't that expensive. As for a hub, new onza hubs, echo tr, rock man etc would be a good choice, maybe a bonz?
  2. The editing was amazing
  3. So I haven't seen a decent turn out in Reading in a few years, would anyone be up for making the trip? It'd be nice to have a big ride again with loads of riders.
  4. I love those Monty edition Hope trial brakes, it's a nice looking bike
  5. So I've managed to get myself a v set up and I'm curious about cable + noodle, this is what I've got so far: Brand new SD7 lever + arms Brand new cnc belaey pads Heatsink adaptors Generic (Exposure) bmx linear Shimano xtr carbon booster I'm wondering whether the generic linear will be good enough? What noodle would you use? Am I okay getting a cheap bbb/xlc noodle from work? Also what size bolts do I need for the adaptor? Obviously M5 but what length? Cheers guys, Mikey.
  6. So basically just stretch the spring? When I had my 2011 I found it actually had a snappier feel and seemed to spring back once you release.
  7. Could be really worn sprockets, surprised he's able to ride with 18/13, 18/12 felt too light to me sometimes, plus I would've thought the chain tension would be an absolute pain.
  8. I've always called it a pidgeon, learnt it from some Northerner years ago and it stuck.
  9. The riding on the mod was incredible, makes me miss mine a little.
  10. I didn't find it that exciting and yet I didn't want it to end, really like his technique and he looks more comfortable on the Radix than on his Kabra. What happened to that frame btw? I much prefered his Kabra over your Radix or my Echo.
  11. I've had my bike since November and the bb is still running absolutely perfect.
  12. Been logged in on my phone for months, I'll try changing my password but I'm worried I'll be unable to log back in and be unable to contact you. This account uses a different email than my Facebook and I think I have an old newbie account linked anyway.
  13. I also can't log on from my work and home pc's nor my laptop because "password is incorrect" when it isn't. Cleared cache and cookies too. Been like it for a good 6-8 weeks I just couldn't be bothered making a topic
  14. I love my fat Albert, grips better than my kenda kinetics, bounces better, rolls better and it's almost half the weight. Had it two months too including riding 3 days solid at radfest without puncture, I know Joe maher went for more than a month (last I heard, may be longer) solid riding without a puncture too. Worth every penny.
  15. It's a 2bolt trialtech booster, I think I'd be using heatsink adaptors as I have an old one lying around and I'll try get a second from someone. I only say "real" because the majority of problems on this forum have some strange ideas on cousts and didnt want to get into a discussion about it George I rode Euans bike at Radfest, it's Mikey with the Echo24 (sold you some forks a while ago) The reason I'm talking about cutting boosters and pads is because I'm broke but I'm fed up of Maguras enough to make me not want to ride atm. I sorta see what you mean with the picture, I might swap my trialtech booster for either a vee or a 4bolt and try
  16. Heya guys, swapping to rear vee soon and I'm struggling to find a decent yet cheap vee booster to use, could I possibly cut down a trialtech 2bolt booster into a vee booster? What about cutting "real" cousts into cnc vee backings? I'm also up for swapping the booster for a vee booster and / or swapping the "real" cousts for some decent vee pads (plenty of life left) Edit* I've also got two magura evo2 boosters, would they work as a stop gap booster?
  17. Nice to see some of Reading in there, you're probably the only person I know to actually ride the registry office benches good riding man, definitely deserved the sponsors
  18. Between the two I'd say the echo24 because of what flipp said plus the fact the 24 is an amazing bike to ride
  19. My nan used to live in Brokenhurst, not too far from me either as I only live in Berkshire, might have to head down soon!
  20. If the spokes are painted it should be fine
