  1. My Coust pads were amazing, fresh grind to bed them in but when the grind wore down they still wouldn't slip. Heard good things about the adm's though
  2. No it wouldn't manuel, if it caused irreversible damage 100% of the time then yes, I'd recommend to leave them alone but that isn't the case, you can safely stretch a spring with positive benefits.
  3. It's more theory work at the moment Jack, probably going to never try it. I was just thinking it would stop a lot of stretched spring related damage and skips whilst still giving the bonus'. You could even have a company such as JAF making these in small quantities.
  4. Heya guys, so everyone knows about stretching the spring on a Chris King hub and how it makes it slightly louder, less prone to skipping (if done correctly) and also have a crisper feel to the engagements. I recently modded a Nerf gun for a friend of mine and rather than stretch the spring behind the air chamber I used 4x 1p coins to add more spring tension. This got me thinking, behind the spring there is a spring retention ring, could I use multiple retention rings / have a 1.5-2mm space made up to go behind the ring and replicate the effect or stretching the spring but without the risk of deforming the spring (Deforming it means the drive/driven rings wont sit in the spring properly causing it to skip). Thoughts?

    The #2

Riding: good. Edit: f**ked my eyes.
  6. I've got a 200mm hope on the front of my 24. With slow pistons, a shit bleed, bent rotor, disc mount isn't faced, shims aren't right and contamination it's still an amazing brake. Probably to do with the 200mm on a 24. I had about 4 pairs of hopes on my mods though and they never worked even when set up perfectly.
  7. Rob moved to America and I'm not sure they have a halfords? Could try borrow a pressure washer.
  8. Here is my pc as of a few months ago. After a Motherboard RMA It's changed a little bit. CPU fan is now pushing air through the heaksink towards the roof, both of the 140mm fans are now pulling air from on top of the roof and I've taken a 120mm silent typhoon out of the optical bay and put it back on the side panel. The cable management is about 50x better too and you can barely notice they're there. Just bought my first SSD which I'll put in there tomorrow, next on the list is a fan controller because my motherboard P67a-G45 only has a single PWM connection (currently have 4 fans on a PWM splitter but because of this I have to use Speedfan to control the speeds, strangely Speedfan also controls the non-PWM fans) Spec: i5 2500k @ 4.4ghz standard voltage 8gb Kingston hyper-x grey (1600mhz 8-8-8-20 timings) P67a-G45 motherboard Msi 6950 2gb Twin Frozr III Coolermaster 212+ heatsink + fan NZXT 550w NZXT M59 case 2tb WD Blue boot / storage drive (soon to be storage only) Soon to be installed Samsung 830 128gb SSD
  9. One piece bb7's are pretty old. Why not get new pads, dial, rotor, level and cable? It'll refresh the feel completely.
  10. The old bb7's were one piece calipers. The new ones are two piece, little bit cheaper to make, tiny bit lighter but a metric f**ktonne flexier
  11. The old 05/06 echo team is beautiful, along with pretty much all Gu frames (and the curves but they're not deng or oldschool.)
  12. Brads method can glaze them, do a few short, sharp stops with your weight over the rear so your wheel doesn't just lock up. After each short sharp stop chuck a bit of water on, probably only need to do once or twice
  13. Can't remember the exact details but I saw a post on here stating why hand cream is good. I use it, never get pain riding and have callused yet soft hands because of it. Used to powerlift using nothing but chalk without pain too (nothing heavier than 185kg deadlifts but it still probably does more damage to skin than trials)
  14. Don't know if Steve patented the idea but maybe have vee mounts under the chain stay like on the heatsink 24 frames and 4 bolts up top if there's enough room? Might make any weight saving from vees negligable though
  15. My trial techs have been cut down, with a starnut and the threads are intact
  16. The way the calipers are designed rather than having less pad contact when you pull your wheel back it just bites a slightly different point on the disc if I remember a post I saw on here

    Tar

The ice would expand into the empty space above it where the tar was dug from.
  18. Do you mean streety meaning street riding such as Ali c / Danny mac or street meaning TGS like Neil tunnicliffe?
  19. I found that dialing them in for power / some squish it'd be a lot harder for me to gap over things / off sharp rocks / rails etc as there was a lot more travel before the pads were off the rim.
  20. What! Haven't seen you since you f**ked your arm and now you're moving to America without one last ride?
  21. My spray on skinnys are more comfortable than my slightly larger spray ons Just made sure to get a nice stretchy pair with some crotch room
  22. The radix has a built in booster though chris. I hated mine, flexy, leaky etc
