  3. had a bad cough and cold for a month now, went to see my doctor last week and said she couldnt find anything causing it, just fed up with it now
  4. If you dont do much stuff to front do you really need a floating rotor? Seems quite unnecessary to be honest

  9. I hate avids, always have, pretty much always come with a really shit bleed
  10. Basically I wanna go dual disc on my mod but I have no idea what hydraulic brakes would be best for it, anyone care to give me some advice, Im looking at getting hopes or shimano brakes
  11. Anyone and everyone are fair game imo, get out the way of people or you're gonna get hurt
  12. I am doing geography should be soo good
  13. Got into bangor university, so sooo soooooo happy
  14. Not flushing out the system of the old oil that's in there will make it so that you will have to bleed the brake more often. As the oil and water dont mix and the oil sits on top of the water it means that when you pull the brake it will force the water and oil to move about and compress slightly so it wont feel as nice as it would if you had flushed it out, also as said before the removal of oil will help the seals last longer. I must admit I never use the fairy liquid method but that's just because I'm a lazy f**ker and I normally bleed my brakes before a rideso I dont have time to do that method
  15. Already sold 3 of my bike parts, pretty happy I'm getting some money especially as I only had £10 left from payday
  16. why does wanting to go dual disc look soo expensive? :(

Didn't know it was for a 20'' but even then, they don't weigh that much and I'd say performance over weight.

I dont mean they are overkill on the weight, I mean I wont need that much power and they would look massive on a mod

  17. It seems unfair at first but you arent paying the full price as for you it would be tax free but your company is paying that tax your not paying so it seems kinda fair to me It seems unfair at first but you arent paying the full price as for you it would be tax free but your company is paying that tax your not paying so it seems kinda fair to me
  18. If it was me id get either the defy 1 or the rose, the boardman is good value for money but the defy 1 and the rose seem to have some better compenents such as it has 105 gears which are higher end than tiagra, the rose has 105 gears too but it also has 105 brakes which are definitely better than the tektro's that defy 1 has so in my opinion get the Rose. But basically you get a coupon for the max amount your allowed, you get your receipt and everything and then you pay get a certain amount of money automatically taken from your wages each week or month depending how often you get paid. Then once its all paid your company decides whether they want to let you keep the bike (which 9/10 times they will) or take it back from you. The bike is tax free aswell so you wont be paying the full price that it says in the shop or online.
  19. Trains and most of the people who run them in this country are shit and useless, if you've paid for a ticket then you are untitled to take whatever you want on it, just because they have no room in the designated areas shouldnt mean you cant get on
  20. hahaha yeah maybe id still run a chainguide if I used it on a dh bike just to make sure it did stay on
  21. Where a standard chainring has shorter teeth the narrow/wide chainrings have full length teeth so it is much harder for the chain to jump off, also a standard chainring has all the teeth the same width and they have to be small enough to fit in the inner links of your chain meaning the outer links have room to move side to side, the narrow/wide chainrings however have alternating narrow and wide teeth which gives a tighten fit between the chain ring and each link of the chain therefor making it harder for the chain to fall off Just went from a standard triple crankset with a 32t middle ring to zee arms and a 36t hope retainer chainring and a clutch xt deraillier and its very noticable, really smooth and quiet now but going up to 36t on front has made it noticably harder on hills
  22. Thought it was pretty boring to be honest, no amazing riding but damn those girls were fineeeeeee
