  1. In semi-relation to what you guys are talking about, when I get out of school lately it has been miserable outside. I don't care too much about it having rained during the day, but when it rains as I leave it gets dark at about 4! I can't go out in the dark where I live because I will get stabbed (no jokes...) and when I haven't rode for a while I tend to have second thoughts about trials as I kind of forget how much I like it, despite the fact I don't push myself to progress enough, nor do I have anybody to ride with
  2. I present to you Ken Block's Gymkhana 7.
  3. This is another good one of his. The last shot on the classic monty is quite funny
  4. This seems quite worthy of a post on here, mainly from 6:35 onwards though. The first bit has some bicycles in it, but is a little slow, mainly because he is a moto trials rider, not bicycle trials Even if you don't ride moto, you've got to admire it! The flair attempts were pretty crazy!
  5. I enjoyed that very much! I think it is because it felt very moto-trialsy, as I'm not too much of a fan of TGS (I know, that's blasphemy, yada yada yada ) Is there an outtakes video?
  6. The massive wire reel things and scaffolding to make rails and stuff would be good, and maybe the odd rock or two
  7. This is by no means a masterpiece, only a visual representation of my previous post It is also nowhere near to scale nor close to pretty as of yet Please ignore the integrated rotor protector too, I'm not too keen on it. And Herb, please don't post any of your sketches because you'll make my drawing look even worse than it already does
  8. You could try magura mounts on the chainstay or underside of the seatstay? It may not be 100% efficient, but it would look hella cool you could also put the disc mount in the gap between the gap between the chainstay and seatstay rather than on top of it... It should have a sprung tensioner, but on top of the chainstay rather than hanging below so you can't bash it, but you retain the auto-tensioning, set and forget functionality Integrated seat, like an ashton? Definitely 135mm rear spacing so you can run a hope hub! You could play around with tubing profiles and materials to prevent denting downtubes and retaining strength elsewhere I guess... How about having the head bearings seat straight into the headtube? Bolt through axles? Would you do forks too? Sorry if half of that is incoherent, or a bit too extreme for you to actually do, I am just throwing ideas at my phone A bunch of that stuff is exactly what I would do if I were to build a mod frame, which I really want to do
  9. I can't tell you what does and doesn't feel right for you, so cannot hate Go ahead and say
  10. I derped... this can be closed!
  11. I would love to go to this (I even have the perfect costume planned) but 1) I live in Swindon, about a 3 hour drive from Sheffield, and 2) I come back from Bruges that morning (It's in Belgium for anyone who doesn't know, including me until recently )
  12. That their is a lode of rubbish. I thout I bought some grematical wizerdry to the forum
  13. Yes. 100% agree. I get ripped into at school if anybody sees, so I am quite self-conscious
  14. What difference does that make? Surely XC would be more likely to knock one out anyway because of all of the rattling going over bumps and the likes?
  15. That doesn't look like a street bike to me, but Jeeeeeez that is beautiful. You win for sure, in my eyes at least
  16. Either your post was supposed to be lighthearted but you forgot the emoticons to covey that, or you are just an utter penis. I must say that for some strange reason I am leaning toward to latter. I understand that it may not be the best looking, and I never said it was either, but there is no need for that. I posted that just to share what I am riding, not fishing for compliments. I do think it looks nice, but I prefer the look of numerous other bikes. I am 15 with no job and my only "pay-days" are Christmas and my birthday. How am I supposed to go out and just buy stuff that looks nice? It has taken forever to save for that, and I am content with it. Rant over.
  17. Bit of a bump, but with the best looking 26" thread going on, I thought I should bring this back There's a couple of bits I'm going to change in the future, namely some purple Hope Tech 3 E4s and a purple Pro 2
  18. I suppose freewheels are more common on trialsy setups, but a fair amount use freehubs, especially on streety builds. Personally, I wouldn't use anything other than a decent freehub
  19. My Hope hub has 80 EPs per wheel rotation, or 110 EPs per crank rotation.
