  1. So you wouldn't consider Spank rims either? I like the look of the Jealousy. I couldn't care less about the name when compared to how well something functions
  2. What about when people say something along the lines of "it was more scarier"? Surely it is either "more scary" or just "scarier"?
  3. It did make me laugh I will say that if you are riding in a place where there will be people walking about (especially children) you should probably check first you're not going to maim anybody by landing on them, regardless of how cool of a tyre-tap you can do This also reminds me how much footjam whips make me cringe every time, however the rest of the video was pretty impressive!
  4. Exactly what I did to run SLX cranks on my Arcade. My BB cups are screwed all the way in (no spacers), then I got some M24 washers for pence off of ebay to put on the axle. One thing to note is that if you do it this way you will probably have to remove or cut down your BB centre tube. Before I did this I had all 3 spacers on the drive side and it stripped the threads on my drive side Hope BB cup so I switched to the method above and I haven't had a single problem.
  5. It looks a little bit gash with the purple and gold, but I was bored of black rims due to having had them for as long as I can remember
  6. Don't usually like TGS videos, but this was pretty swish! What was the song in the background?
  7. This from 12:50 to 14:00, although the whole thing is decent. The mix of flatland and rampy stuff is new to me and I love it!

  9. Wasn't quite sure where to put this, so I popped it here. All are well worth a watch and a good reminder as to why Martyn is such an idol. http://youtu.be/kX_hn3Xf90g http://youtu.be/Jjok8NxJOGY http://youtu.be/ZJH4ayFZNK4
  10. Following on from prom related stuff in the Happy Thread, the only bit that's got me down is the fact that I am the least inclined person to drink out of everyone I know. Even a whiff of alcohol makes me gag, let alone the taste. I hate the feel of it in my mouth, like the fizzyness, hence why I don't even drink fizzy drinks. I keep getting people joking-not-joking about spiking my drinks and stuff and they just don't accept that I'm no 'thug' like themselves, nor am I 'about that life'. They also purposely rant about their drunken adventures in front of me when they know I'm not keen on hearing it. Why can't people just not? By this I'm not saying that I wish I drank, just that why can't people just accept it rather than going all Jehovah's Witness style on me and try and convert me?
  11. Yeah, afterwards. Not too fussed about it, but thought I should probably show my face
  12. Prom tomorrow... That's not the bit that's got me posting in here though. If there was a thread named along the lines of "The Completely Indifferent Thread", that's where that would be posted. The cool thing is that while everybody else is faffing about panicking and preparing all day, I'm going out on my trials moto for a few hours in the morning before prom. There will be bacon and steak on the barbecue as well though, so all will be good in the world Nothing too special, but more fun than what everyone else going to my prom is going to be doing all morning. I'll still turn up on time, fresh as a daisy and all dapper, but I'll have the benefit of not having needlessly spent the morning stressing about 'the big night' as everybody seems to be calling it
  13. It's actually not too bad, there's only the occasional bump... It's about the only thing us Swindon drivers can do
  14. This? http://youtu.be/CQsnHISvn3w I suppose that I don't have too much of a view on the north vs south thing. I'm only 16 so I haven't really done much travelling. I am a south-westerner, but I will admit that Barnoldswick had really nice scenery and locals when I went. I'm just going to take the Swiss viewpoint and remain neutral You may now continue your debate
  15. Exactly the same here. This guy undeniably has talent, but it doesn't have the same feel as Martyn
  16. I am running Hope E4s on 180mm Icetechs and have been for about a month after having run Hope floating rotors and developed some play. I instantly found the Icetechs had better hold and just felt stiffer in general compared to the Hopes, so I will say that the answer is yes to both of your questions
  17. Easier alternative is to just put 'ss' before the bit where it says 'youtube' and delete the 'http' bit That probably makes little sense, but I'll try to give an example https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wGRjmDHFUZQ Would become: m.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=wGRjmDHFUZQ Edit: I'm not sure why the edited URL isn't hyperlinked, it works when pasted into the searchbar
  18. Yes. You are easily one of my favourite riders based purely on your creativity and uniqueness as well as silky smooth style. Keep it up!
  19. I think going for a 2 stroke would be the safer bet. A 4-stroke trials bike is hugely different to a 2-stroke and depending on how you want to ride it can be a help or hinderance. I currently ride a Beta 250 2-stroke, although my dad has recently bought a Beta 300 4-stroke. I have riden both and the 2 stoke is a lot easier to be poppy and flicky on and suits my style of riding whereas I have found that to be effective on the 4-stroke you have to be fairly smooth and fluid which could be potentially quite difficult for a beginner, even if you are experienced in enduro and other similar sports to trials. There's a reason that most bikes are 2-strokes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't ride a 4. I have a couple of enduro rider friends who ride 2-stroke trials just fine, so I would say go with that. That's just my opinion, seeing that I ride a 2-stroke and they seem to be much easier to learn on. You can always switch to a 4 if you want after you have the basics down like my dad and a friend of mine recently did. I hope this slightly helps Just a quick note which may or may not be important to you; 4-strokes sound beastly and amazing over the 2-strokes Yet another note; try Trials Central for motorbike trials advice which will probably be more helpful and in depth
  20. Swindon doesn't really have any decent spots to ride, but if I was forced to choose the best one it would probably be the Swindon Outlet Village. That is where I first learnt to hop a few years back, and I still ride there now There's nothing special; only a few knee-to-thigh high walls and I always get grief from the kids from the local housing estate, but there's nowhere else
  21. I was just doing my nighttime ritual of trawling Ebay for some bargains, then I stumbled upon this... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151665302074&alt=web
  22. What about using a standard, non-trials hub as it has a shorter hubshell? That would provide more wiggle room, but I assume people don't really use these for trials because the freehub body is aluminium over the SS version's steel freehub? I'm intrigued because I'm quite keen on trying this too
  23. I guess there would be more bite because there's more leading edges? The kink in the downtube is naaasty, but other than that it looks decent enough
