    Legal Shiznit

Wasn't cannabis decriminalised a while back? It was on the news and everything...
  2. Yeah it sure is. Black is pretty cool too. Not sure about silver though, but maybe it'll help convince some of the LLS crowd.

    Good Luck Partz!

You have to check blind spots and mirrors on both sides, since you're potentially in the middle of the road or something. And just stay cool and don't try and rush off. The more time you spend being methodical and slow and taking your time, the shorter the test will be
  4. Try this to make sure it's not the iPod and it's the computer misbehaving.
  5. You have to run a hose splitter which sucks too... I like the brake idea but it's not been executed very well with the cabling. Ahaha, yeah I think it is
  6. Yes, like I said it's a medley with Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World
  7. Wtf? You guys have never heard of Somewhere Over the Rainbow? It's a really famous song... And yes, it was in The Wizard of Oz, but I think it's a bit older than that. It's just one of those classics that everyone knows Hundreds of people have covered it, this is just one of them. Except this particular one seems to be mixed with What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. EDIT: Google says that version is by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
  8. It didn't, that's what confused me! I'll leave it.
  9. I got an email saying that someone had hacked my account or something and I needed to choose a new password/secret question. It seemed fairly legit though - It came from ebay.com and it didn't ask you to click on any links or anything obvious like that. I just ignored it, but does anyone know if it's a known spoof?
  10. Oooh yeah, good luck
  11. I hate the way now you've got a disc EVERYONE is going to move to disc sooner or later. When I have a non-disc King and a non-disc frame. Still, it looks pretty
  12. Once again, your tongue is out. Hahah. Just kidding, you look marvellous. I would probably say go in a shirt and tie. For a confidence thing as much as anything else. You can wear casual clothes all the time you're at home.

    Accident

    Bloody motorists. Get well soon
  14. Try and bend it back? That's surely the cheapest way? XTR levers are designed to bend in a crash, and they have that thin bit. I think they are fairly resilient to bending back. If not I say get the new lever blades, your XTRs will be pretty much as new then, and it's only £20 which is cheaper than the option. But to answer your actual question, I would go for the XTs as I know them and love them. I think the SD7s are slightly better value for money in terms of what you get, but I never got on with the shape. I've not seen these new shape ones you speak of though...

Cool, cheers Prawn. How much is car hire? And what stuff do you need - just a UK driving license? I thought you had to have 4 years driving experience or something to drive on the continent?

I've just booked some flights to Split for me and my girlfriend. We're probably gonna camp but haven't got as far as looking at accommodation or anything yet. So does anyone know what the best thing to do - Campsites? Can we just turn up and pay? And also getting to the islands - Are there little boats and stuff for hopping from one to the other, or are they just big ferries that are expensive and you have to book? Thanks
  17. By all accounts the Rohloff works at least twice as well as a tension seeker/surly/others though... It is a lot of money, but I've not heard a single person complain about them (apart from the price, that is).
  18. I think my trials bike is lighter than my road bike I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at actual amounts though - and I'm not convinced bathroom scales are accurate enough - our ones frequently are about half a stone off. Either that or I'm getting fat...
  19. I bought a socket set from B&Q for £6, it was 100pc or something, and had 6 torx sizes in it. Or you can usually get them from any old hardware shop, I paid a quid for a simple one.
  20. They're dual compound aren't they? So the bit in the middle is harder than the side bits. So the theory is that it's got grip where it needs it but won't wear out so fast. Sorry if you already knew this. The 40a/42a has 40a on the sides and 42a on the middle bit. I would imagine that for street or if you want a tyre that will last a decent amount of time, the 42a/50a would be a good choice
  21. Can she get two bikes? If that was my money, I'd get a £500 XC bike and a £500 road bike. But I'm guessing she probably can't do that. P.S. Mudguards = cool, OK? Definitely worth spending money on if it's gonna be used for commuting.. They'll probably throw them in for free anyway if you're spending £1000. I think that's what mine is. How much did you pay for it?
  22. Make a shortcut to the game in Windows. Right click on the shortcut file and there's a tab for compatibility options. Set it to Windows 95 compatibility (or 3.1 if it's there, I can't remember) and go. I think that should do the trick.
  23. Nooo, I need it. And disturbingly I've started to enjoy just going on road rides for miles
  24. Well it's to run a chain without a tensioner, on vertical dropouts (well, 360 dropouts I guess). So yeah, it will indirectly change the chainstay length (and BB height), but only by a couple of mm at a time, nothing to worry about and not significant. It would be interesting to see an adjustable height BB though, using a much bigger cam
