He didn't actually predict anything - as that suggests that he came up with the numbers before the lottery. Which he didn't. If he had done that, he could have done it days in advance, and he could have published the numbers in the paper or something. The only trick in all of that was how he got the ping-pong balls to say the same numbers that were revealed 10-20 seconds earlier. I don't know how he did that but I've seen far better magic tricks.

Can't believe I wasted an hour of my life on that shite.

I had (stillk have, actually) a Topper. But my parents sail a 32ft yacht pretty regularly and I occasionally join them. It's kinda fun but personally I'm not convinced it's worth the hassle. Bikes are more fun for me at the moment and don't cost approx £1bn.

But rock laptops are made more for gaming? My Mum's just bought a new Acer timeline laptop - I've not had a proper look but it does seem to be very nicely made. It's thin, light, and nothing bends/creaks etc. Supposedly has an 8 hour battery life too which is immense if true. Like other people have said though - it depends what it's for. If it's just for a home (desktop replacement) computer and you don't want the hassle of a desktop and loads of wires on your desk, that's a very different option compared to if you want a laptop to carry everywhere and work in cafes/trains etc.

I hate Whistler. A line broke my collar bone

That's gonna be well annoying - you'll never be able to ride anyone else's bike. Swap the brakes back over and just practise - it won't take long to get used to it.

Well done Joe! Awesome result. And great result for Ben too - nice one! But it's aallllll about Steve Peat

I recognise some of those places! What are you actually doing out there? Just cruising around living in a van and riding your bike? Sounds shit I was watching that and a bit disappointed by the lack of pigeons. But then came that one onto the rail - Insane skills. By the way, I hope you've taken some time to ride some of the insane North Shore stuff that's literally a stone's throw from North Van, would be a shame to go all that way and not ride the stuff that made the North Shore famous. Oh, and take the camera

Also no one is going to top your story

So, you went running around a skate park, in the dark, in the rain. That is embarrassing.

I seem to live off Apple's warranty which is freaking awesome. I've had 4 iPhones now - Not the best advert for their quality but each time there's been a problem I've just taken it to the shop and they hand over a new one brand spankers. The last one I had for around 5 months, and it was looking fairly dull and scratched, the new one is all shiny again! On this new one, the volume key is a bit sticky so I might try and get a 5th one. Just to see if they'll do it EDIT: These problems weren't (I think) caused by dropping it though. Just hardware faults.

Ha, that looks very hard! Well done.

Yeah that's what I thought too. He has a strange style too - he seems to revert half way down the ramp instead of landing, riding out fakie THEN reverting. Guy's obviously got skills though!

So 2 people are irritated for reasons that aren't really too clear, vs about 100 people that wanted to see the video. I enjoyed it - it's good to see the legend back on a bike, and I can't think that it's going to cause Onza too many headaches? If the proper version of the video is supposed to be even better, I can't wait. If this bike has a decent enough spec for under £600, it'll be amazing. Just make sure it comes in lots of colour options so at least if everyone in the country is going to be riding the same bike, they don't have to all look the same

Doubling the surface area of piston / pad would make a more powerful brake, with everything else being equal. Like many people have said though, this would make it a LOT spongier at the lever - probably unbearably so. Manufacturers could double the power of their brakes by using a small diameter master (lever) piston giving exactly the same effect, but they don't because no one likes a brake that squishes to the bar. Does anyone remember the RB magura lever? It was more powerful because it had a smaller piston (13mm compared with 14mm on the normal HS33 lever). They were OK, but the feel of the lever certainly took some getting used to. And that's only a small difference in piston area. The main advantage of a dual disc design would be in heat dissipation, which isn't really a concern for trials.

He does those way different to how I do them. He kinda whips first (kinda like bunny hop whip style) then lands on the wheel with his front foot for a bout a millisecond, then jumps back onto the pedals. I do them rolling along, step on the wheel (with my back foot) and THEN give the back end a good kick round. It seems to work OK (although I never got them very consistently) - but that guy looks waaaay smoother. EDIT: In answer to the original question - just use longer cables/hoses. I ran a Magura rear and Juicy 7 front disc (I.e. both hydro) with no problems. I tried the hose-through-the-steerer thing but it's totally not worth it, particularly if you have to bleed your brake in the process

People who don't have legs can drive...
-
They look terrible in that setup - Stupid high stem, stupid bent/flat bars, stupid high seat. The frame itself isn't too bad, although it seems to suffer a bit like the 24uk did - the toptube is too low for the street kids, and too high for the long/low/silver crowd. And just to add that extra bit of hassle when you make that transition from 26" to 24" (I.e. new frame / wheels / tyres +/- forks) you now have to change cranks too? Stupid idea. Obviously I'd need to ride one before passing judgement but I can't see why you'd buy any of those over an Inspired? EDIT: I don't like change

If he was THAT good a god, he wouldn't let himself get photographed with fat chicks.
-
Oh God, don't let FatPants see this. I'm with OBM on this - most of that stuff would have been simple on a trials bike. At least he made the usual fixie "stunt" riding people look (even more) like retards. I did like the hop-to-wheelie though. That was good.

This is my shoulder a few weeks back The "before" shot is a bit better, but I can't find it. EDIT: Here it is:

That looks fairly bling, I like. 12mm rear axle? What QR is that?

That guy's a frickin hero - huge moves and check out the definition in his back muscles. I bet he gives good hugs. Anyway, the video was OK, not that exciting really. Plus the soundtrack was pretty horrendous.
