  1. Yeah, me too. It's not though (It's Holroyd as Will said) but there must be a similar video with Porter because that was my first thought.
  2. I don't know anyone more scouse than Alan. Al Fel for most scouse member. And also most awesome anagram.
  3. Morecambe is good - It always used to be one of my favourite places to ride, but I haven't been there in about 7 years. I went again recently (without a bike) and they've put in a load of new street furniture/junk along the prom which looks fun. Lancaster is OK to ride, nothing special though.
  4. lol, one mention of a female rider and you're willing to travel 140 miles to meet them?
  5. Auto-Mod For Sale/Wanted topics are no longer allowed in New Members Chat. If you wish to post a For Sale/Wanted topic on Trials-Forum you need to read and follow this - http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....ounce&f=13&id=3 Topic Closed.
  6. Whenever you apply for any job, put down that you have NFCE. It would be hilarious.
  7. Pretty sure it's restricted - most of them are (Hulu, all the official channel-specific streaming websites etc). But we do have iPlayer! BBC > Anything in the US
  8. I don't think it was saying that at all. Everyone knows the economy is bad, but it will recover - they're not saying that the credit crunch is going to end the supercar. I think it was a comment on how society as a whole is moving to vilify sports cars as an expensive, vain, environmentally-terrible, accident-causing evil.
  9. There you have it. Ride a brakeless fixie, be like FatPants. Your call.
  10. No that's not right. In my (admittedly small) group of two, the gay guy (some "fantpants" chap) rides a fixie. Whereas the definitely-not-gay person has gears. The plot thickens.
  11. That's funny. Because I don't know any gay people who ride bikes with gears. But then approx 100% of all fixie riders are gay. How odd.

    Stunts

There are a few bails off that big x games ramp in this video, including some guy that basically lands straight onto the deck. Ow. Not for the faint-hearted! http://dirtmag.co.uk/news/category/videos/...rt-1235518.html

    Modified Cars

I used CarAudioDirect. Seems good, although it's probably best to give them an email you don't use often, when I receive their "ICE blast" emails I feel like such a chav
  14. Yeah, the only finance worth going for is 0%, and that's only when you have the funds in your bank account to cover it (you just use the 0% loan as essentially money off). f**k getting a loan just to buy a car when you're not earning much.

    Crazy Bmxer

Haha that was cool. He's clearly a f**king retard though - there's literally no appreciation of his own mortality. But if people want to make these videos, I'll watch

    The Swine Thread

The obvious difference is that the two you mention are both very harmful diseases where infection is quite likely to be serious/deadly, but to be infected was rare. Whereas swine flu is contagious and loads of people are getting it (most people by now will know someone who's had it) but a tiny proportion are dying from it. Half of the problem with swine flu is the way it's been reported, and the failure of the public/media to understand the difference between severity and prevalence of the disease (I.e. the number of people with a disease). Pandemic sounds like such a scary word. Athlete's foot is pandemic. ZOMG indeed.
  17. What is the likelihood of getting an actually reliable classic car though? Chances are that anything more than about 10-15 years old is going to be pretty unreliable in cold/wet weather, unless you know a lot about cars and put the effort in. 95% of people just want a car to work without any hassle, and no one is stupid enough to buy a 40 year old car for that. Anyway, at the end they all said how much fun they had. Which is probably more to the point - people buy these things for the joy of driving them, not for a guarantee of a car that will get them to work on time.

    Building Htpc

From what I can tell, Media Portal and XBMC are very similar. I have Media Portal on PC and XBMC on my xbox. The main difference is that media portal is designed for TV tuners, so the live TV integration is good, whereas the inbuilt video-library-thingy isn't amazing, and you have to use some plugins*. Whereas XBMC is the opposite - it's designed more for the video library aspect and live TV needs plugins. Since it sounds like you're not after live TV anyway, maybe it's best to go with XBMC. *My-TV series and My-Films would be the plugins you want

    Building Htpc

Let me know how you get on - I want to do this pretty soon. At the moment I'm using my shuttle as a semi-HTPC thing, it's old but it handles everthing fine. It's just noisy. Also: TV tuner(s)? Remote controls are waaay important - do you already have one? The MCE one is probably the best, because it's cheap and works with more or less everything. (EDIT: I can see the case has one ) No BD drive? You know you want to! Are you going to be accessing network storage? 500Gb seems a bit small if you're going to do things like recording/timeshifting etc. Did you decided what software you want to use? I'm using MediaPortal running on XP which seems OK for everything I can throw at it, plus it seems very stable. It's a f**ker to set up though, definitely one for those who enjoy tinkering...! It's better than MCE (or Win 7) for cataloguing and library thingies.
  20. Uh, except for, like, mentioning it on the forum a couple of times each week? And calling yourself Jonxmack on xbox live. Or getting a huge f**king tattoo across your chest? I can't help but thinking that's the exact reason for doing it. If every f**ker in the country was "straight edge", I reckon Jon would drink. I know this post is pretty negative. I really don't care what you do - if you like being straight edge then good for you, I certainly don't have a problem with it. Just advertising it seems f**king lame. Mark's vegan analogy is pretty much spot on in my eyes. Or like this woman I met the other day "Oh yah, I'm really eco." She's probably vegetarian and buys organic washing up liquid, before dropping the kids of at school in her BMW X5. Or the person that gives to charity, then lets everyone know about it. Stop thinking you have some kind of moral highground and it suddenly becomes less lame:
  21. Yeah, that's what I immediately thought when I read the stuff you've posted in this thread. Except to me it's more reminiscent of the Silver Ring Thing. A similar life choice. lol
