A few guys that i know that used to ride Sidecar motocross used to wash their hands in white spirits to toughen the skin...Not sure what health & safety issues there would be with that kinda thing though.

I think the street thing is good because it impresses people who don't know much about the sport, maybe it'll inspire them to ride and as they learn they'l realise that its not all about spins and things Theres my view anyway.

By the sounds of thisgs i do it the same way as pauloliver. keep low. arms fully extended is usually the easiest way & wen the bike starts to dip, instead of pedalling like in a normal wheelie, pump your legs to full extention (like you're kicking the bike out from underneath you) & as it rises to high, pull yourself back in towards the bike. I'm shite at explaining techniques but i hope it helps.

hehehe i had a bell on my trials bike for ages. only fitted it for the comical value. One game that used to crop up when the bordom set in was to see how many bell rings i could get in a gap or a drop. The other one is to ride up behind people as quick as possible (not that fast on a trials bike i know) and then ring it at the very last second before passing within inches of them. Bring back the bell, thats what i say. And just think how annoying a group of ten riders all ringing away at once could be.

get a bike... they're smart as f**k. I've been riding bikes since i was 5 and riding on the road since 16. Am 21 now and still have no need for a car. Bikes rule -
chances are people say things like that in jest to try & lighten the mood in forums that are rapidly becoming more & more hostile. I'll keep my fingers tied up next time.

If you're worried about how much weight it'll add, go for a dump and blow your nose before you ride to make up for it

i thought Ot Pi ran maguras on that bike. I used to have that vid (until mum recorded over it) and i'm almost sure there was a close up with his front wheel at one point. The bit on the full video that impressed me the most was how much power the brakes had in the wet. They were as good as mine in the dry. good to see that vid again though...its the one that got me into trials many moons ago.

Kickstart!!!!!! nuff sed.

i've had mine a while & love it. I've snapped loads of frames but this ones held up really well. It wasn't my 1st choice of frame but now i've got it i'm really glad that the other frame was out of stock.

i had that with mine. no matter which way round i had the slave cylinders. I solved it with one of them triangle shaped hose splitters so that i the oil pressure could build up in both cylinders rather than building up in the on at the end of the system before the one in the middle of the system. Not sure if they still make them splitters but if they do, it might be worth a try.

racing bikes are good for those who like them, cannondale do womens specific racing bikes. The other option might be to go for a hybrid. easier to ride on the road than a mtb but it doesn't have the extreme position of a road bike. Giant FCR's are the most racey hybrid style bikes i know of. Or a cannondale bad boy or bad boy ultra (i think they market that as an URBAN ASSAULT MACHINE or something along them lines) Good luck in your hunt.

at work i use 2 programmes linked together. Workmanager & ME10. Top of the range for 2D drawings. Los of people think 3D is loads better and in most cases theyre right because you can see exacvtly what the finished article will look like but if you're trying to draw something that somebody can work to then 2D is far better.

i'm a D**khead...Which is nice.

a reliable aprilia very good. the more wrecked a scooter looks the better it is. as long as the brakes work for doing wheelies, skids & stoppies then thats all that matters

How old do you have to be in england to get a proper bike? Just wondering because over here it goes. Age 16 --- 125cc or less (CBT must be passed) Age 17 --- Any size bike goes (as long as test is passed otherwise its still 125 or less)
