The whole point that brought this up was that there were two weeks between posts in this 'the' thread. It's not like it's so overused it's sapping other topics from being created. I can can pipe up about this because there have been only three topics created 'recently' on the front page. One was about the EU referendum, and it's great that enough people were here to have a debate about it. Another was Mike asking for feedback on a mix. The other was a request for 3D design by yours truly. That means I was responsible for 33% of new 'popular' content in Chit Chat, and that's ridiculous. I remember a time when I asked for some help about a fridge, got about 30 replies, and then the topic was dead 24 hours later. The 'the' threads didn't kill that, the lack of people visiting did.

Whereas all I'm saying is that the 'the' threads have nothing to do with it. There's no interesting conversation because this isn't where people come to have interesting conversation anymore. I dislike that too, but it's a fact.

I'm agreeing with you, but not because you amalgamated stuff into 'the' threads. Look at the content of those threads, almost no actual conversation. It's essentially status updates in forum topics.

That's absolutely not why chit chat is dead, and you know it! TF used to be the place many would use to generally get information and bounce ideas around. The next generation of Internet users after us lot just don't use the Internet that way.

I think the key to what Evans is good at is whether or not he built it. He built Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, TFI Friday, the CarFest stuff, his Radio 2 show and more. All are great. He didn't build Top Gear, and that was my biggest disappointment. He didn't even try to make it his own, and that decision ended up making everything look fake and forced. It's a shame, but hopefully the show will now go onwards and upwards. Eddie needs to go. Sabine also needs to go (plenty of other people who are good in a car who would also be good outside of it).

I'm not a massive Lewis fan, but the amount of class he has in comparison to Nico is insane. No one likes being overtaken, but it seemed to me that Nico decided to try to do a Schumacher impression but forgot he hasn't even got the talent to crash properly.

C'mon guys. This is simple. An opportunity to ride in front of an audience is being offered, with expenses outside of that riding being covered for those interested. Is it undercutting the demo teams/riders out there? Yes. Is it likely the show would have found a budget for said demo teams/riders if these guys weren't doing it? No. (Could the whole thing have been handled a f**kton better than it has been by JJ? Yes) There will always be people willing to do what you do for less. It happens in my industry constantly, because anyone with a computer and the bollocks can say they're an expert. My job, as is the job of the demo teams/riders, is to show that they are worth the cost over those who are able or willing to do it for free or close to. If we don't manage that, we don't get the gig. Simple. Maybe if you want to ride at the show @Joe Papasnap Maher, you should approach them with your proposal for 2017. If not, maybe just get the f**k out of a well meaning topic that might allow less experienced riders with some aspirations the opportunity to pad out their demo CV?

That sounds unlike Hope - did you send it in to them? I'd be surprised if they didn't sort you out if you did that.

Please never actually use that fog light once you've done the mod, although I'm sure you wouldn't. Stuck behind one a couple of months ago and it was so distracting I nearly rear ended it trying to look around the blinding and eye-level light... Neat mod when not being used though

I actually enjoyed the 2nd episode. Still a long way to go, but now I've got my head around the fact that they're sticking to that format I can give them a chance to grow into it.
