  1. I was going to add those 3 seconds, but I figured then I'd be being pedantic. No danger of that this way!
  2. For anyone wondering, the intro finishes 49.4% of the way through.

    Keto diet anyone?

    Sounds super healthy.
  4. In 'disagreeing with Jolfa' shocker, I think they could have looked quite good.
  5. Sitting outside an X-ray room waiting for the wife to get the results of falling down the stairs. No, really. We only have two steps in our house and she managed to break her first bones off them.
  6. I'm only messing with you, knew what you meant mate.
  7. I was gunning for having that instead of a wedding ring, but she said no so obviously I backed down like the little bitch that I am.
  8. Just cut her out and move on man. We've all been there.
  9. They happen. Best thing you can do is exactly what you've done and just call it quits – better to do nothing than do something badly in some cases. I just recently got myself a newer laptop so I'm more comfortable with sacking off the office when I want to – then if I get my motivation back in the evening or during the night or something I can just crack on. Obviously slightly different in your line of work!
  10. If mine seemed in any way un-serious, it wasn't. I was deadly serious, that's literally your other option, although obviously exaggerated. Go far enough back in this thread and I had plenty of trouble getting out of a relationship which was clearly toxic and going nowhere. As Mike said, we're only able to give the advice because we've been there, not because we're better at this than you. We're just further along the road. I can guarantee that you will be giving this advice to someone else in a few years, that's just how the process works. I'm glad of all the people who I spent time ignoring in this thread back then.
  11. Don't listen to them. String yourself along on the vague hope that she might miraculously change the way she feels. Offer to film her with her new guy when that happens, girls like nice guys. When it hurts, just cry into your pillow and tell everyone you're fine the next day. When you haven't heard from her for 24 hours, be sure to send her plenty of texts asking how she is and whether she still remembers the good times. Girls love reminiscing while they're getting ready to go out and take a length from a new guy. When she she tells you to stop and move on, because she has, don't listen to her. She's playing hard to get. She'll remember how much she should love you if you just keep forcing the issue. It's her friends, they're the ones who are keeping her from you, so definitely bad mouth them to her every chance you can get. Or, y'know, you could cut her out.
  12. I'm tempted to sign up just to see what my description would be. I've got the go-ahead from wife, I'm just waiting to hear back about something that might happen that week. If it's all booked up by the time I know I'll probably rock up anyway in case someone doesn't turn up.
  13. I know it's no big deal to most of you lot, who are doing far more weight far more consistently, but... I've always struggled massively with my bench press. I've been gaining body weight, and I've never been able to get 5x5 at body weight on the bench. It's been a real mental and physical barrier, but I just got it and I'm stoked.
  14. Yep, the My Protein ones are massive – I could hardly swallow them. Ended up crushing them in the end and use the powder instead now.
  15. All I can say is definitely not black. In my opinion it makes them look like spare wheels. I'm not sure what I'd go with... The silver looks like it might as well be body coloured in that photo, so that could be an option. Maybe white with a polished lip? Either way, if you get the colour right I think they'll look much better
  16. I think every gig I've been to in the past 3 years or so has been on my own, and I think I've enjoyed them more. More of a 'stand around the bar and enjoy the whole spectacle' kind of gig goer nowadays though.
  17. He's not completely wrong either, I just faffed with it in Chrome. Annoyingly I had to change actual template bits, so I'm not sure how easy it'd be to implement. Do you have any options to actually add/remove code within SquareSpace? If so I'm happy to log in and put these bits in if you like (obviously with different colours if you want). As you can see, I'm procrastinating from a shit ton of code I need to write this afternoon which will end up getting done at silly o'clock when the guilt kicks in!
  18. Get in. Nicely done buddy. Where in LDN?
  19. I set up tracking of non-JS views of a site I run which gets around 25,000 sessions a week. Not major, but taking the past 3 months of just under 300,000 sessions, less than half a percent were from non-JS users. Personally, I wouldn't worry about that Mike – if you were going to worry about stuff like that you'd be writing a site from scratch rather than using a pre-existing platform.
  20. Sounds swell, but if you're setting up the mailbox I'd suggest getting used to using two email addresses. The difference in professionalism when your email comes from mike@jollygoodphotography as well as being the destination address is large enough to warrant remembering to check two addresses. At the moment it's not at the top of every page, so that's what made me bring it up. No harm in also making the word "Get in touch" on, for instance, the Portraiture page link to your email as well. (<a href="mailto:your@emailaddress.co.uk">Get in touch</a> in case you didn't know – apologies if you did!) My mistake – that's two different points. Alt tags are what are used to describe an image, they're used for screen readers for the blind amongst other uses. One of those uses is that search engines love that you ticked the box – well worth doing. SquareSpace should have an option for putting them in for each image, you'll want to make sure every <img> tag you can see when you view the source on your page has an "alt='description of image'" attribute. Separate point was about having external links to other sides, it's just another thing that search engines like to see. Worth just sticking a link in to somewhere else like the FB page to tick the box. Hope that all makes sense and helps...
  21. If you mean design wise, it's not my strong point, but it lacks anything to section it out in my opinion. I think that a slideshow of the galleries is the wrong option – I'd prefer to see a group of thumbnails, paged if necessary, so that I could zoom on the ones that most represented the style I was looking for. When you say get in touch, make sure it's possible. The main thing you want to happen from your site is an email or a phone call – both should be on every page, and especially when you're specifically mentioning 'get in touch'. You're not alone there, the biggest mistake I see people making is in being embarrassed to make sure it's front and centre: CONTACT ME. Don't be embarrassed, it's what they're there to do. If you want the technical side, you might be interested in running a few pages through my Page Grader. There's not much you can do about it in when using SquareSpace except giving your images Alt tags and linking to somewhere externally (FB page will do).
  22. I'd do that and either spray or swap the rims to black, white, or the same blue as the frame. Pretty much anything but that slightly different shade. Either way, you're onto a winner.
