What a load of bollocks. One thing F1 definitely had nearly right was qualifying.
  2. Which is another reason to build the campaign around a metric that you want (like conversions) instead of something superficial (like views).
  3. Main tip from me is "don't use the boost post button". I wrote a, now really outdated, blog on it a while ago. Other tip is don't fall into the "as many people as possible" trap. You don't want as many people as possible, you want as many people who already love your pub but don't know it exists yet. That comes from analysing the current patrons of the pub, finding the actual patterns (no gut feeling here), and then replicating that audience through Ads Manager. If you can be strict with yourself on both of those counts, Facebook Ads are some of the highest ROI spend you'll make online.
  4. Good job on lining the rear wheel logos up
  5. Just had an email from a client along the lines of "Hey... bit of a slow day here so I'm shooting phone screens with a rifle in slo-motion. Please tell me YouTube would like that so that I can pretend it's work."
  6. It may ride lovely, but that one specifically is f**king ugly. I'm sure yours will be nicer though Luke
  7. Certainly no expert, but I got this stuff to try on mine. Went on really easy, took a lot less time than I expected, and lasted well. That's the test size, but it'll definitely last for 10+ applications.
  8. DA polisher, and Cherry Glaze is what I use.
  9. Shut the passenger window, nice
  10. Felt like a throwback, but in an obviously modern way. Loved it.

I think it was DC a while ago who said that drivers didn't see all the aerials and the like in front of them because they were focussing far further than that. I totally get that, but this has a whole lot more depth to it...

@Paperclip, you're swell at riding bicycles.
  13. I had to do it with a deer years back. It had got itself trapped in a barbed wire fence, broken it's leg and damn near ripped through it's throat. Not fun, but definitely the kindest thing.
  14. The trick is to not try to match pace, just be in the vicinity. Good point though, I should have mentioned that.
  15. I knew that remorse would come in after she knew she'd 'wasted' an opportunity to go quicker, as well as all the training in the build up. Shame to see it happened. I take it she struggles to go out and do it on her own? Do you do any running yourself? It could be worth putting yourself forwards to help out. I'm assuming she's quicker, but all that means is you turn it into a fartlek session of sorts. So you run at your pace, whatever it is. She runs off from you at a quick pace for, say, 20 lamp posts (my favourite fartlek distance measurement) and then jogs back to you as recovery. Gets back to you and repeats. Then maybe for the longer runs someone can go out with her on a bike or something?
  16. If people are stupid enough to actually give the money to ridiculous causes (which this is definitely one of the least ridiculous I've seen) then maybe we're the ones who are stupid for not jumping on the bandwagon?
  17. What about a "Bribe @Danny to permaban @Canardweb" campaign?
  18. Better than most, who have no drive at all.
  19. My wife is the only person I know of who could end up in a massive cast just because of a broken knuckle. Bloody liability.
  20. NHS direct, that's what it's there for. They'll decide upon the next course of action and signpost you accordingly.
  21. Heart wrenching man. Donated, it's not much but I hope you reach your target. Good luck for the run, and for the healing over time.
  22. Grinding out a win in situations where you're making poor decisions against a top nation (albeit one in a bit of strife at the moment) is cause for my anger levels to be low. Lots to improve, but 3 from 3 is good.
