  1. I like riding in the autumn to be honest with you, its slightly cooler, doesn't rain much and its still light for a fair while .October riding is the best for me, though theres nothing better than riding trails in the sunshine with mates just chilling out and having a beer.
  2. Dont use white spirits to clean the rim Use something like mr sheen, makes the rim much better for braking on. But the heatsink blues are really much better on a grind.
  3. Is it being used on the correct end of the bike? When i tried to run a rear one on the front the rotor rubbed against the mount like you said, however it maye just not be fitted properly. If you could get a picture up that could help us find out whats wrong with it
  4. I've never snapped a brake cable in all my years of riding bikes and i've only ever seen one snap, which was fair enough as it was over 3 years old and had freyed quite badly. If you manage to snap a new cable you are most definately an idiot. And as for the review, its a bit short isn't it? A two line performance section ? How about saying how easy the Tri align caliper positioning system is to use or how well does the brake perform when dragged as opposed to short quick pulls on the lever? Brake fade? Durability? Lever feel? Brake response? Comparitiveness to other cable discs? How is it more reliable than a hope, care to tell us why you think it is? Theres so much more you could have written, this has to be one of the worst reviews i've seen in a while.
  5. I sleep walk sometimes, when i was at my aunts house i went downstairs and pissed in their bin, made a glass of milk and "fed" the plants with it then went back upstairs giving my mum and aunt a running commentry of what i was doing the whole time. I've also walked downstairs whilst my uncle was visiting, asked everyone for "ermm..... thingy.... you know that i mean" and promptly turned around and went upstairs again. The most bizarre one for me is waking up with my head really hurting and realising that i'd managed to do a handstand in my sleep and leant my feet on the wall. When i realised what i was doing my arms went limp and i collapsed in a heap on the floor . When my cousin was little he went downstairs got the keys out the kitchen draw and opened the front door and started walking down the street, my uncle heard the front door close and went running after him like 30 houses down the street. Its bizarre, neither me nor him had any recolection of doing it and pretty much thought everyone was winding us up :$ .
  6. Dude, that is why it pauses halfway through the video If you want i can give you some tips on editing future videos when i'm on msn next. Keep up the riding, and have you got that crankarm and front cog sorted out yet?
  7. Haha, so many people are now going to be ringing up this shop now and asking if they can ask to speak to mr pete wright, the apparant owner of the shop.
  8. Hmmm, you do realise your out of new members now don't you Just look in there for like 100 topics on the best/biggest/most impressive moves you can do. My best at the minute is to stand on the rear wheel and do a double crankflip can-can... however i'm currently trying to get an x-up in there somewhere as well
  9. Why? It doesn't take long to learn to pedal hop. I taught a mate to do it in a couple of days and after 4 weeks or so he was doing 3-4 foot gaps between pallets.
  10. Sounds to me like a basebikes TA26 would be right up your street then. Definately streety, and feel great to ride. Theres some pictures of mine in my for sale thread in my signature
  11. Thats what i would have done, however, its easy enough for everyone to say you should have smacked him back or tried to attack him but please bear in mind that keiron is only 15. Having a fully grown guy jump out of a truck and behave in a physically threatening manner is intimidating to say the least. If Keiron had have done something back whats to say the situation wouldn't have escalated and become even more physical? And i know if someone had come up to me and jumped out a van, physically pushed me off my bike with enough force to leave a handprint shaped bruise on me i would be seeking some sort of prosecution. Even if you are trespassing he is in absolutley no right to do this to you because its physical assault plain and simple. Also as far as i'm aware there is no trespassing laws in the uk so even if you were on private property he couldn't do anymore than ask you to leave and in no way could he have been physical in throwing you off. The fact that he HAS left a bruise on you whilst you were SAT on bike shows that he was aggressive and he could be looking at jail time for it plain and simple. Physical assault of a minor is hardly a light offence and you should get the police involved as soon as possible. Ring them and let them know what has happened and then you can choose whether or not to press charges.... Or..... look at an out of court settlement? or compensation? Why shouldn't you get some sort of compensation from him. If burglars can get compensation off people for falling over their furniture whilst in the process of robbing them its not out of the question to look into it for yourself. At the end of the day you could use the money to pimp your bike out, or buy something nice for yourself/your family. Or if your too nice a person just let him know your seeking legal action and let him worry his arse off about it for the next week or so while you do absolutely nothing about it. The suspense and worry about him facing charges of assault should be enough to keep him worried for a good week or so, quite an ample punishment in my eyes. Nobody can be harder on you than yourself when your worried. Definately report it to the police though, just so its on record. This guy might try something like this in the future with more severe consequences and you informing the police about this occasion might help them judge the guy more accurately in the future.

  13. He's hardly shite, the last video i saw of him he was doing some nice bunnyhops to front wheel up things that the majority of riders would tap to get to back wheel on, and he was riding smoothly and consistently. Its obvious he goes riding with ryan leech as they both have the same kind of "manifesto" style, however, it is most likely that they contacted someone that has been in the limelight for a while and who is proven to be good in front of a camera. I would also imagine that location is another key factor as i'm sure a recording company would rather employ a canadian rider for clips in america than british riders in canada.
  14. How the f**k do you screw up badly with writing stuff? Surely its just being yourself? In my opinion its completely unnnecessary to need a new account, if you need to change the name, pm the admin. If you acted like an idiot, apologize. And if you have a reputation for being a bellend then just leave the place instead of trying to fool people, you'll be found out eventually anyway. Welcome to the forum mate
  15. Ha ha, he just does it to brown nose people and to get his post count up in the vain hope he will be made a senior member, though he will deny it obviously. Could be boredom too, he is bikeless at the minute I too reckon the forum should have conflicting views on things, it provokes people to think about something more openly. For example someone says, oh thats a great bike but i would change the bars because they dont seem to suit the bike and i reckon you'd get along with (insert random bars here) much better. The person thats read this is more likley to think about if their own bars suit their bike and how changing them might affect their riding for the better or worse. I think not getting along with people gets more done, some people like bb rise others don't so we now have a choice of frames with varying heights of bb rise... see where i'm going. I admit some peoples remarks are quite useless and are quite often unecessary but thats life, some people are just like that, at the end of the day its just words on a screen, get over it
  16. For f**ks sake sort your spelling and grammar out, this dyslexia excuse is just a copout for being lazy. How do you test all these top parts for these computer companies if you can't even spell properly? They're not gonna want to have to try and figure out what you've said just so they can get some feedback on their components. Even oxfam requires that you have basic GCSE level english and maths skills before you can even volunteer to work for them so i'm sure a big company like the one you "work for" would require a higher standard of literacy than the complete tripe you come out with. And this is really gonna piss you off but its the truth, i do think emo girls are quite fit ... and the one you referred to in hollyoaks (becca's sister) is very hot indeed. I'm sure the majority of people on here didn't care what you thought about emo's and what you have said is kind of bordering on being offensive. I admit the guy emo's do look utterly stupid whilst wearing girls trousers but i'm sure there are hundreds of people out there that think the way you dress looks stupid, as there most likely is with me and just about every other person on here, its called personal choice and its what makes this world and all the people in it unique. This is not the kind of thing to bitch about on a forum, so they dress in a way you find inappropriate, get over it.... we dont care
  17. Ha ha, no worries dude... i've done plenty of things like that in the past. Just goes to show how you people on a forum will tell you to bash a new starnut in anyway or angle grind it so its smaller, despite the fact the solution is completely different and that their methods most likely wouldn't work as securely.
  18. Shhhh Just type in "porn mailing list" on google and you get a load of similar ones
  19. If anyone knows of other people they wish this to happen too this is a great place, did it to my cousin and he got at least 20 e-mails a day about gay products and better techniques, along with messages wanting him to sign up for private webcam showings. Link to gay mailing list site
  20. His mate gets annoyed too, and likes to help mr larry in his little escapades. will-mate@hotmail.com ^^ should anyone want to irritate him too. In fact i'm gonna sign them up to some dodgy porn sites.
  21. Looks like its just little sticky out bits on the hub bodies that make them different... much in the same way all the other parts only have slight cosmetic insimilarities.
  22. The smart guy forks should have a threaded inside which is designed to be used in conjunction with the top cap bolt supplied with the forks. It removes the need for a star nut altogether and is a lot more secure. Just screw the top cap in to tighten them up.... you'll need a 6mm allen key to do it. Nothing to it at all.
  23. Ah right, i didn't realise they had made a new one. Is it still out in the shops? Cheers for the good replys though guys.
  24. It's a shogun frame, they're so hardcore they dont come with warranties . It looks a whole load better now, nice one.
