  1. Hey guys looking for some super vague advise, I'm planning on getting into track racing once I've got a full time job sorted. I have go-karting experience but nothing on the track. I'm looking for something cheap to start to see if its what I want to get into before I tip a bucket load of money into it. I like the sound of MX5's and Alpha 145 cloverleaf's and looks like you can pick them up pretty damn cheap and I won't be looking to do many upgrades straight away. Any advise? Do you have to do licences straight away? Is a roll cage a requirment? etc.
  2. Can't come now. University resits have f**ked me over. Should have tryed harder.
  3. Yea hes lost his mind, I've told him already. TBF hes just sold his Velocette Viper and the Norton / BSA will be leaving us soon and his old schhol CB750 is a huge heavy thing. He wanted the twin pipes and round headlight, it might not be the best bike but hes getting old and likes the upright seat position. If it makes him happy then fair enough, the bikes as good as new 4,000 miles and not a single chip anywhere.
  4. The main thing that annoyed me with England was if you go out and play defensively and end up losing you just look like cowards. Against a (lets be honest) weak Italian side we shouldn't have played so defensively, there was no need, we should have got at them and made it easier for ourselves. The stats spoke for themselves at the end of the match, I don't know what I think of Hodgson, if you play like men with spirit and determination if you lose then you can walk off the pitch with your heads held high as it was we ran scared the whole match and lost and I don't think there's many positives to take away from that.
  5. For hazard perception you have to be careful not to rhythmic click or you banned from that question. For example I would always be like *see's hazard* "Clicks" *hazards still there* "click" *the hazard still is there* "Click" *The hazards not over* "click. if you get what I mean but ive never failed hazard perception without revision in the 4 times i did the test. I did however fail the theory 2ce for bikes, I thought "Passed my car test last year, been on bikes for 3 years how hard can it be?" and ended up wasting my money getting caught out on shitty questions about trams and shit that I don't really care about. Oh yea and my Dad phoned me up all embarrassed yesterday as hes just brought a FX650 Honda..... what was he thinking? Apparently it "grew on him", I think something must be growing in his brain. I think he thinks my Mum wont bike his head off too much if he insures me on it, but she will...... he will go on about single cylinder, low speed and good brakes and my Mum will say, "NO" lol comedy,
  6. This is retarded. Lights one thing but this is suicide for anyone riding it and for a 10 year old its really not going to make him ride any better.
  7. Well if the brakes work properly there worth £40 and any bike which you can ride some where has a residual worth of £40 so only £80 really dude, don't rush into buying when you know its not right, if you get it for £80 though you cant go wrong.
  8. Yea first corner you take with a new rider be ready for anything.
  9. How you ride with a pillion depends mostly on the pillion. With non-riding mates its a right pig because they don't have the right ballance they over tip too much which means you have to lift the bike up round a corner, or dont lean which means you have to hang off like a monkey to get round a slight bend. The worst pillion is the one which does a bit of both! haha Generally with a pillion I put 2 feet down, cover the front brake if your on a hill. Also make sure they dont ride with the visor up if they don't know what there doing, because one hard brake and when they nut the back of your helmet their visor will just snap off lol.
  10. Yea you can't hold it in dude, its literally the worst thing you could do in your situation, you need to vent to all your close friends about it, this is for 2 main reasons: - If you just vent to 1 person he's going to get bored eventually. - The more people you tell the more you "put it out there" the less built up tension you will feel. Sometimes I vent to people online about my troubles because you can talk to people you don't really know so you don't have to be afraid about sounding like a total pussy because it won't come back when your down the pub with your mates and one of your loud mouth friends gets pissed. Also cut off all contact with her, you can do this by blocking her on your news feed (so you don't look petite by deleting her (unless you think it would be easier)) delete her number and all her texts so you don't find yourself trawling though old messages or anything depressing. Get rid of all her shit and put it someone else. Go out with your mates and enjoy all the good things about being single.
  11. If its £50 buy it as a laugh you can't go wrong, but you will struggle to ride anything serious on it let alone trials.
  12. 2nd hand phones cant be covered I don't think? They need to be less than 6 months old for you to take out a policy on them and must have proof of purchase and stuff? Look into it youself before hand.
  13. I made up a film idea, its a comedy, kind of with a Romeo and Juliet vibe, but no love or anything instead they have a hatred from each other and both family compete in limbo roller skating. (like) And there main purpose in life is to go lowest quickest, kinda like a ancorman'esk feel to it.
  14. Well anything non standard is considered custom? Especially seeing as your creating 1 off pieces that's pretty much the definition of custom. Just throwing stuff out there dude.
  15. WHAT A GAME, going to watch the highlights now, was too battered to appreciated the epic'ness of it.
  16. For me personally I think if something says "PERFORMANCE something" it sounds kinda cheap RJI Custom Motorsport group. RJI Custom Motorsport. RJI Racing Fabrication. RJI Motorsport Fabrication. I dunno........... maybe I'm getting hung up on the wrong point, if your shits good and gets a good rep its gonna sell regardless.
  17. Personally (for me) the word "performance" makes it sound cheap and tacky.
  18. Yea I guess its exactly the same... but opposite for me. I play CB and I would never play that deep, ever. Its just frustrating, the best form of defence is attack imo, if the balls in their half then they aint gonna be scoring. When I managed my team always played 2 holding CB's, and a CDM for if one CB went forward, and wing backs, get it up there create more chances, the only way to win is to score more than the other team.
  19. Yes there defence was solid but the tactic only worked against Barca because they have no plan B, they can only pass it round teams. But that doesn't mean that the tactic is a well rounded strategy, as seen today with Gerrard and Parker being too deep and giving Nasri too much room and not pressurising the ball enough. And yes you can win anything by fluke they came 6th in the league......... thats like saying Greece were the best team in Euro 2004, well they wern't but they went on to win it - mostly through luck of the bounce.
  20. No; playing that style you must conceed so much possession in your half and rely on last second tackles to keep it out the back of the net. Even for a good team you only about a 30% chance so winning it, it was nothing more than luck that made Chelsea win it, a couple of lucky breaks and sketchy defending that won them anything. Go out be positive and go to win the match, not have the mentality that "if were lucky we may win".
  21. Oh yea shit, I edited the first post. I watch it all anyway so it wouldn't have been an issue, in fact that means its socially acceptable to start drinking now? Bonus. Sorry but I hate people saying this, we shouldn't that was such a horrible game which Chelsea had to adopt because there so bad, we should play positive confident football. Although I want Ashley Cole to play the game of his life like he did that match. As much as I don't like Gerrard (he admitted in one interveiw I watched that he's not the player he used to be and can't get forward as much because he's not as fit as before) I've grown on the idea of him in the middle as captain. Partly due to the sad fact that I can't think of anyone I'd prefer to be in the middle or captain, he's the best of IMO a bad bunch. Rowan stop being so negative you'll get wrinkles early. I don't ever see the point in watching football being negative, your there to support them. If they play without pride or determination then fair enough I'll get on the band waggon and start being negitive, but if they give it their all every match then I think the team could surprise.
  22. If I'm uploading something to show people on here just do both, they both take ages to process to I just stick em on to upload on both sites when you go to bed and there ready in the morning, stops people saying "I can't see it" and means you (in general) get more veiws. Like sometimes my netbook HATES vimeo and will only run youtube on 360p
  23. Done some online reading, from what I've read in 30 seconds sounds like you should be going to a doctors. Not gonna try and scare you of anything but it seems it can be an indicator for bigger problems (many of the people seem to have diabetes) and it sounds like the doctor should refer you for an MRI as all the people in this thread seem to have had one? http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic34874.html#b I have literally just read this page but no-one on TF will be able to diognose you. So do some propper googlng and see what you thinks best.
  24. Yea your right, I watched the match but wrote it down wrong on my wall chart haha drinking from 4-10 and then trying to fill in a wall chart is apparently too much for me to comprehend lol Yea I think your right Max my initial feeling was ditch all the old players except for Rooney, the old guard have had the last 3-4 tournaments to thrive in their prime for England and acheive something great but they failed and I think that they should get moved aside for the younger players with something to prove, (Ox, Walcott, Wellbeck, Sturrage, Hart, Baines, young, smalling?, evans? still don't like those 2 and maybe even (Downing (I know hes got a lot of critisism recently but hes got something to prove and if he hones his skills will be a solid player). Hopefully Hodgson can find a ballance with the excitement and flair of the new generation and the solid composure of the experienced players. I just worry about our CB's, CM's and ST's. Were short on solid centrebacks, in CM I don't like Barry, Millner, and Gerrard and think Parker could be weak at this level a bit like Arteta this season who did well in all his league games but came exposed in the champions league against slicker midfields. And we don't have a goalscorer really, all our players (expect downing) have been in the goals this season but we don't have a leader who pops one in a game, Rooney on a 2 match ban almost unsettles the team because without him we don't have a true CF so will Hodgson change the whole team set up when hes eligible again?
  25. Right after 3 days of waiting finally tonight England kick off their Euro campaign against France at 5. Discussion points - What do people think of Hodgsons appointment? Personally I think its good that we have an England manager for once but he is old and mumbles a lot and encourages defensive teams (which I hate). But we have won both our matches with him in charge so hopefully thats a sign of things to come. I also like his confidence in the Ox although I think it may be a bit misplaced seeing as Hodgson himself said he got inspired watching the 2nd leg against Milian where the Ox played on the left where he was outstanding; but many of his Arsenal matches have been non events. However he has done well in U21 so deserves an occasional full cap. What do people think about the team selection? At first I was outraged, but now I'm coming around to it, I just don't think we should have John Terry playing for us, especially with all this rasism "outrage" in Poland and the Ukraine. (Hardly supprising to anyone who watched the Ross Kemp on Gangs which aired 3 years or so ago which showed the extent of the rasism and football gang culture. IMO the player shouldn't be out there.) but for Terry at least I suppose its strictly innocent until proven guilty but I think hes been lapse at times for Chelsea. I would have liked Mikel Richards in the team but thats just because hes a unit. I think were missing a right winger, Hodge doesn't like Walcott because he loses the ball too much (which is fair) but Milner on the right wing makes me want to kill myself. How far can we go? I've watched every match of the tournament so far and I think the best match so far was the Spain - Italy match, although it finished a poor 1-1 draw the opportunitys created by both teams showed some real class in the build up play and if they build on that could see them go far in the tournament. No offence to Ireland who put up a sterling performance last night, was some real passion on the pitch but I think they need more than Irish luck to get out the group. But still everyone else has under performed or done as expected, the only real shocks were denmark beating the Netherlands and Portugal beating Germany but both winning teams will have to get a lot better to go further in the tournament. So personally I think we could do alright I just worry that when you chose to play defensivly you expect the games to be low scoring so it is important that you are clinical in your finishing and I just don't think were there right now, there is not an England player who when they pick it up inside the box I think "this is a goal" but so long as we play a high line I think we could do surprisingly well and all English men love an underdog hey! Tonight I recon England 1-0, if we can beat France then our tournament really starts, if we lose I think we will still qualify but we need that confidence boost early to reach the latter stages of the tournament.
