  1. That looks amazing. Reminds me of climbing Snowdon and wishing I had my bike with me. I'm not sure I'd have made it up Snowdon with the bike though, to be fair.
  2. My car has been a twat lately, but if it survives the Rockingham weekender this month, I'm up for it.
  3. Yes. It went from correct gauge, to speaker cable, to correct gauge. Unsurprisingly, it got rather hot and made lots of smoke.
  4. I didn't get many of it in place, but here's one of how it was connected to the main earth strap, then the cable once removed.
  5. The rest looks OK. It looks to me like the original one snapped, so they crimped in this 6" section of speaker wire. I've never needed to look down there, so haven't spotted it before. If you just looked at the battery, everything looked alright. It's amazing that it lasted so long.
  6. OMFG, you won't believe what the problem with my car was. A previous owner had used tiny SPEAKER WIRE as one of the main battery cables and it totally fried it. The smoke wasn't the battery, but the wire that was about 6 inches further into the car. It was about 1/3 of the thickness of a proper earth strap. Unbelievable. How it hasn't caught fire before now, I don't know.
  7. Car overheats, I turn it off to avoid damage. I can't turn it on again, I just get rapid clicking. I jump out to figure out what to do and notice shit loads of smoke. Opened the boot to find LOTS of smoke. Quickly emptied the car of all valuables, just in case. All of this at one of the really busy junctions in Bristol, at rush hour. Thankfully, some great people stopped and helped me, but she's currently parked up for the night. No clue what the problem is, but it could be high resistance from crap connections.
  8. Carbon or not, that's a pile of junk. You could buy a £140 bike with the same spec, but a steel frame, and probably wouldn't notice the difference.
  9. Same as loads of things, sold as "Hardly used, mint", but turns up totally fooked.
  10. "2020" by Suuns as the opening soundtrack is a win, too.
  11. Alternator tensioner bolt fell off while I was blasting down the motorway. Resulted in mad electrics behaviour and a noise that sounded like the engine was eating itself. Limped it home, suspecting it was that. Ordered a new one. Just glad it did it on the M32, about 10 mins from home, rather than Bruges or the other long distances I've done recently!
  12. I think non-riders can probably engage more with a bit of cheese thrown in, too. For us it's all about the technical ability, but for someone that knows nothing about bikes and riding, it might be boring to just have pure riding and no storyline, I guess?
  13. I agree with the cheese comments. A bit of comedy is OK, but this video goes too far and it gets annoying. The nuts riding, with the inclusion of the funny little bra clip would be good, those cringey ski-police but distract from the good content. If it's 10 minutes they were trying to achieve, get another rider in there and have a race down the hill, that way you can use the same clips twice, as you'll have two different riders doing the same jumps etc...
  14. In standard form they're actually pretty good as a daily. Before I had my company car I was going everywhere in it. You can still pick up bargains as well, though the value is slowly creeping up.
  15. What you want is a slammed Eunos with de-cat and stainless exhaust. That's great as a daily Mine is definitely a weekend & track car, driving it to Bruges was a terrible idea (Fun, but that 4.5k drone for 6 hours, not so much)
  16. That's nuts. None of that is anywhere near my level, yet some of the "smaller" stuff looks easy when they do it. Massive respect for anyone that can flip a bike over jumps that big.
  17. Not to mention the multiple chips in the paintwork too I did similar in the 5, enthusiastic exit from a gravel covered lay-by, with a mate behind me. He wasn't impressed.
  18. Regardless of your political views, I find it amazing that anyone can support and trust May. She's a thundercunt that's so thundercunty, she doesn't even appear on the thundercunt scale. Surely even hardcore Tory supporters should be questioning their allegiance now?
  19. Zoomed in, it doesn't have a disc mount. Looks like a nice ride, I'd love a jump bike again.
  20. It really varies, in my experience. I've had stuff in 7 days, I've had stuff in 40 days. Value seems have an effect on it, as things can get held up at customs I think. PS, poor shout on the MX-5
  21. I probably couldn't even ride 80% of that stuff, but I'm still jealous. That bridge he rides across... NOPE.
  22. Still reckon you can cut that time in half.
  23. If they carry on like that, they'll get a reputation for being unreliable! My colleague has a standard one actually, that had to be replaced as it kept going wrong and they couldn't work out what was up with it. 6k miles on it, 6 months old... Lovely car though, black with red leather - stunning to look at and sit in, but haven't driven one myself.
  24. I've only used a single fleshlight, personally, but I can see how doing it with a friend could be a nice bonding experience.
