craigjames replied to Davetrials's topic in Trials Chat
its great how a thread about a new(if not totally original) frame gets turned into a bit of bitch fest. got to love trials forum and love between all the members!!! christ people they're only points of view, lets not take them too far or too personally!! nice looking frame, cheap, complete rip off of a koxx, but hey thats not a bad thing. -
i've always bought sony ex71 headphones, nice tonal range, good fit and only 20-30 quid, havent broken a pair yet, well apart from when i caught the cable downhilling and ripped it in 2! really nice headphones

the operating system it uses, other than the standard nokia one, pretty much all phones use versions of symbian. -
Nokia 6280 - Anyone Have One...and Are They Any Good?
craigjames replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
ive had a 6280 since it came out, used the camera when i went snowboarding in the states wiht my ex, pretty good photos, print u to 6X4" at a pretty decent quality. features are excellent. symbian os took me a bit of getting used to, but then again if youve had phones other that nokias it will be pretty familiar. screen is awesome, mp3 is pretty damn good. overall excellent phone no grumbles about mine craig -
mega upload is a bit rubbish, 30kbps, 20 mins to go will edit when finished!

that vid is pretty sick, looks like wheres he's so fat its kinda just split open when he's cut it. the fat inside the hole just looks weird!

i've been using nokian downhill tubes on my downhill and trials bike, usually running 20-25psi on the trials and 20-35psi on the downhill bike and i've never pinched a tube. and its definitely not because i'm a smooth rider! as said before a lot of it is down to the tyre you run, in my experience maxxis seem to be about the best, but then i run 26" so it may be a bit different for you. all the doubling up on tubes and running silly high pressure isn't necessary, unfortunately it may mean you might spend a little bit more to start with, but you'll soon save more when you stop replacing tubes allthe time!! craig

People In The Portsmouth Area Please Read
craigjames replied to human_furball's topic in Trials Chat
yeah they were, open em in a minute with a biro!! to be honest its all good criticising the lad that he didnt have a good enough lock and he should have done 'this' and should of had 'that' but its happened and and hindsights all good! he just posting to make people aware in the area that its been nicked and if they see it to tell him, my mates dh bike got nicked he told all the riders he knew in the area and a month later one of em saw a scally riding to the shops on it and got it back. the poll is a bit pointless mind you, so i can see what he's saying bout that good luck in getting it back -
well that was a bit special wasnt it!?!!! pretty f****** good!! can it be learnt or is it just a natural gift loving the style, hope theres more to come p.s. what bike and setup have you got? craig

you could use rotational moulding, means that you get an even spread of the material and it makes hollowform shapes, dont know about strength though. could you not use a mixture of rotational and injection moulded sections for the head tube and bottom braket area and use drawn tubes for the main frame and just bond them together? plastics aren't that easy to recycle and they cause a lot more pollutants than other materials to produce. a glass bottle takes less energy to produce, can be more easily recycled, adn produces a lot les pollutants during manufacturing and recycling. so other materials may not be as flexibile in maufacturing terms but have a look at other alternative materials.

its supply and demand if there is enough people willing to pay that price then why shouldnt they charge it. if you think of it on a broader spectrum its not really a very good argument, as if you break down any thing into its parts, buy them seperately and build the complete product then it will pretty much always cost more. if you break one lever its gonna cost you only 30-40 quid. If you really want then you can spend the extra 60-50 quid to buy a complete set, but what are you gonna do with the extra bits, you might, you might not break them? so you really just got to suck it up and live with it!

not the prettiest looking frames, but good warranties. strange how that tri frame looks like the geo's a bit out!
-
imo it does look a bit ugly, just looks like a cheap helmet, not of the same ilk as a xen or semi mx. nice to see they've upgraded the strapping system but i think i'll be holding onto my semi for a bit longer. (no pun intended!)

Me And My Dad Were Having A Debate.
craigjames replied to Josh Greenan!!!!!!!!!!'s topic in Trials Chat
hitting the rail will be easier on a 26" because the smaller the circumference of the rim the greater the angle of the rim when it hits the rail and the greater chance of slippage. but surely staying on the rail has a lot to do with the depth/ volume of the tyre as it wraps around and grips to the rail on impact, a deeper wider tyre will have a greater wrap around and therefore more grip. makes sense in my head! -
nice just up the road from me, have to book a day off work me thinks. hows a bouts a ride after? craig
