  1. It is, the green stickers are pretty misleading so it's good you asked. Anyhow:
  2. You can say that about pretty much any frame on the market
  3. So that's what the Zhi Team 2012 will look like...
  4. This video apart from being very good is also really weird. For the last 8 years I've believed TRA to be the only human being living in Norway. None of his vids EVER had anything as lavish as a pedestrian in them. And camera work was mostly done on a tripod, proving again my point. In this video there appear to be other people. Perhaps they're Swedish or Finnish actors?
  5. Which of his videos has made it to the final? I'd love to vote but not signing up, sorry. Just more spam / pointless emails.
  6. I can't believe you answered that question seriously. Oh well, no rep points for you today.
  7. 50i is 25fps. 50p would be 50fps. edit: 1080p 50i doesn't makes sense. It's either progressive or interlaced, you can't have both at the same time.
  8. They're lighter than Stickys and CC's. A lot lighter.
  9. Properly nice frames, bikes are slightly let down by the brakes though. It's a lottery whether they work or not (if they do then they have plenty of power) so it's imperative you buy these bikes from a proper retailer who offers a warranty rather than some twit who's imported a few bikes from China. Other than that they're brilliant bikes.
  10. I'd imagine they're not as easy as they may appear to be. Nice skills. Riding brakeless is so anti-establishment, it shows you're not going to support the big corporations that make brake pads and grinding discs. I like it.
  11. My friend has successfully fixed frames with carbon before, even ones that broke during a riding holiday. It's a great way of fixing stuff on the fly. His latest successfully fix was an Echo in which the bottom tube broke in half. As far as I know, the frame is working. He also fixed a separating head tube on a DOB frame and used that for many months. So as long as you know what you're doing, fixing frames with CF is a good way out, if the crack is on a tube it's often better than welding.
  12. I can only imagine it would be like having sex with a rock - really difficult and uncomfortable. And heavy. To answer the question in the topic - 17:15. Only because it's super cool to have an odd number of teeth on both the front and rear sprockets.
  13. Is this a fact or just something you believe to be true?
  14. I saw that and thought that to complete the picture you should wax your body and cover it in oil before each ride. No idea why. Polished frame - shaved and shiny body? No gay thoughts here. It's just that in porn films this oil is often used. Not that I watch porn, that's disgusting. Especially lesbians. I'm all about sex after marriage only.
  15. Am I missing something or is there a second trials manufacturer named Bonz? The French Bonz doesn't make such cranks. Interesting. The bike seems good and being a 24/7 it'll have nice geometry for a beginner.
  16. How can you upgrade that saddle? I say you clean that bike and take some nice pics. It deserves them.
  17. You realise that probably 80% of trials frames are made in China? The ones that are not are usually made by small companies which are really really expensive. Then again the only brand creating "Chinese replicas" seems to be Zhi and the problem with those frames isn't that they're Chinese replicas but the complete lack of thought put into copying of the frame. The result is tyres rubbing against the bb yoke, chain line problems, chain rubbing against chainstay, magura mounts in the wrong place, wrong geometry. And finally poor materials and weld quality resulting in a snap happy but cheap frame. I'm sure that if a company like Echo tried to replicate any popular frame like they did with the Coustellier back in 2004 or the XTP in 2005/6, it wouldn't be shit.
  18. Amazingly light and super pimp. Loving the detail. I'm wondering is Breath a Zhi Team rip off which is a Koxx Sky rip off? Or did Zhi steal the design from Breath which stole the design from Koxx? Or did they both rip off Koxx? Or did Koxx help Zhi and Breath design these copies? So many questions unanswered Need to go and ride.
  19. Greetings

    Titanium Bb

Yeah exactly, the first step will always be tyres and tubes, then rims. A Ti bb and carbon bars are something worth investing in when you've already got a sub 9kg bike.
  20. The bearings in Echo hubs are of a cheaper kind, no need for anything fancy. You'll find the number on the bearing. To disassemble the hub you need to twat the axle from both sides. Best if you screw a bolt in and twat that rather than the axle directly. Reassembly is a bit more difficult without the correct tools, I find it easiest to install both bearings simultaneously. The bearing on one side needs to be resting against a flat surface (I use a vice) and the other you need to gently bash in either by placing both hub spacers on one side and hitting them, or through some kind of pipe which will rest against the outer race of the bearing. Once they're almost in you can install the wheel in your frame and tighten the bolts till the bearings are fully in.
  21. Don't you read the post under the title? Trials chat is full of twats who post literally everything except what the OP is asking for. I know I'm not contributing to this thread but it strikes me every time I have to ask something in here.
  22. Did Krav Maga for 1,5 years, hope to get back to it soon. Incredible workout and most importantly practical without the spiritual stuff (not my cup of tea). It's somewhat of a mixture of boxing, wrestling and taekwondo but unsettlingly brutal. Plus the first few months involved scenarios you might come across in real life and how to react to them. Didn't really enjoy this part, far preferred normal combat which soon followed. I think that if you want to learn self defence and not just take MA up as a sport (technically KM isn't one) then it's a really good choice. It's important to find a good academy though, some I've come across are focused more on reacting to aggression than actually fighting and dealing with it.
