  1. i await posts complaining about how you miss trials
  2. bad choice if you do... get a zoot, they're ace...
  3. keep it on, just consider it forbidden, i prefer the protection a plate offers over a ring any day
  4. bashless trials is the way to go, it's not easy at first and for a while we all climb with out plates, but moving to tyre contact only looks fantastic and it means you won't piss off joe public as often... look up trashzen and follow their guides and tutorials to learn some of the purer moves, it's not easy but it'd definatley the way to go... most riders only view their bashplate/guard as a way of protecting their freewheel and chain when things go wrong, unless your going very big, and then you can inch pinch a bit...
  5. i'm going to la fleche

    New From Trialtech...

the carbon fibre vs alloy debate is hilarious, if you don't like it, don't buy it, and don't bitch about it either, when we get the next fancy new bike material it'll be the same all over, and c.f will be defended, loller
  7. what condition is your chain tool? if it's worn/damaged etc then it won't join chains right and they're more likely to fail. no offense but are you familiar with joining up chains? you need to be prety analy about it in trials cause its not a forgiving game when it comes to chains...
  8. no, surely it'll only come in boring colours? what are you thinking colour-wise anyway? surely engine paint is just heat resisitant?

    Guillaume Dunand

liked that, proper flowy to say your on rocks
  10. that last sidehop in the clip is proper tidy, i had to watch it twice
  11. theres a few pics of my rig that i sprayed up in here to give you an idea... don't buy cheap paint, i think the stuff i used was £9 a tin which seemed pretty steep to me..
  12. different riding style/bike or even ride with different people. i'd got prety tired of tgsing sheffield after 9 months of it, then i acquired a zoot and it was like a brand new city, plus all the old stuff that used to be easy turned into a challenge again and then hitting it with a tgs machine was fun too...
  13. a one off job is cheaper to spray, but if your preparing frames in bulk powdercoating makes alot more sense it's cheaper to powdercoat in bulk, one offs make more sense for spray paint... (as far as i'm concerned at least) take some sandpaper to key the anodised finsih... the big thing with spraying is to be patient... lots of thin coats, with a good space of time between each layer. i emptied a whole tin of primer on my frame before i started applying the colour then i got excited and over did the colour coats and it beaded a tiny bit... but yeah, take your time, be sure to cover the threaded sections and headtube... i found that ducktape in a tube so the sticky was on the outside was a great way to go for my BB and headtube. also stick a broom/pipe/long tube/etc through your BB and mount the tube on something and you can spin your frame around it on an axis, using the headtube to control the bike...
  14. genius because now call me maybe makes sense

    Broken Bones...

what part of your leg did you break? thanks everyone
  18. hey all, kinda curious as to how dangerous our sport is, i know this isn't conclusive but i'm fairly confident that serious injuries in trials are pretty on the low compared to other disciplines, i've bothered a few members about injuries but i think we could have a bit of advice and share our less pleasant experiences in riding... i broke my leg 5 weeks ago and i miss riding like f**k and i hope i'm not out of the game, but post up... and maybe share some pictures
  19. impressive riding for your age, video was a bit poor though, buy a tripod and use music that suites the riding, i love drum and bass and dubstep, but it's f**king wrong with trials the tempo just doesn't suite, unless your being a proper monster...
  20. spray paint is the way to go, a decent spray job requires paint stripper, primer, your colour of choice and a lacquer, i got all of this for about £35, it's not better at resisting damage from knocks and scrapes, and if you get a bike powder coated the heating process can f**k up your frame (allegedly) usually costs £50 upwards, it depends if they prepare you frame before they coat it though...
  21. make sure you don't violate the bearing with gt85..
  22. if you decide to bin it i'll take it off your hands...
