Jason222
This new echo stuff actually looks really promising. I'm excited to see the new control frame, if it has better geo than the old ones, I'll be getting one! Hopefully they've also kept the stiff-frame reputation of the control alive. The new Cnc'd rims kinda scare me though, it looks as though they took out too much material from around the spokes...and they really didn't make them all that light for a 'SL' rim. The front ones seem a little better weight wise. I hope these are still made of the same amazing grinding alu!

blaze_
The 06 Pitbull were the way to go! I bought one 2 years ago and smashed a lot of walls with it, then a friend bought it from me. He was a bigger smasher than me and now another guy rides it and there are no cracks at all! The only problem was with the threads, but that was easily fixable. The stuff looks great and the prices aren't that unreasonable. Koxx frames are more expensive and let's not start on the strength of them....The forks are the same deal. And yes the new SL forks look easy to break, but the point of the SL stuff is to be lightweight...hence they should be ridden light.A good breakthrough for Deng if you ask me. I heard that he also has his own factory which means he is going to make the frames himself or at least witness the process of welding and I really hope there won't be any more perversions like the GU frames.....the welds look as if they were maid in a shaking elevator, during one of the giant earthquakes and the guy who does them has Parkinson's disease......I just don't want to comment. And after seeing what's wrong with his frames for now, maybe he made better design without the old flaws.Go, Deng!
Ashley Smith
Looks like new cranks, stem and bar ends for me and ankles is a cast................................crazy.................. who the hell wants holes in cranks?
Smallville
I think many of the SL parts looks really good. The 09 Control frame sounds very intresting too, wounder if it dual disc? The dengura brake levers looks nicely designed, wounder if Echo will make a disc brake too? Revolver
the cranks look cool, dunno about the strength though. What's that silver twiddly knob that sticks out under the lever? It can't stay there, surely it would get snapped off? Fishy
Tpa, and nah, it's a mint idea. It's just a straight through threaded bolt.

_Owen.
Looks like some pretty nice parts there! Looks forward to hearing reviews! And as for the £400 frames, if they are as good as old deng (ie 04 pythons, 04 pures, and the list goes on) im pretty sure they will sell bloody loads! Lets all hope the price increase makes a geo and quality increase aswell! Owen

Have you never seen an RB lever?
Greetings
The TPA will be fine, RB has been using that design for years. If it snaps, you just replace it with a screw. Much better than having to go through the bother of ordering a TPA. Same with the remaining parts, RB used a modular brake lever where you could pretty much replace every single bit. Hope Deng introduces spares like he has with the SL hubs. The new Echo frames are targeted at the same group of riders as Koxx frames. They are mighty expensive but if you think about it, all comp stuff is. I don't think anybody knows what these will look like but if they turn out to be made around the same concept as the Boxx, they will find lots of buyers. totaltrials
There are some pictures and details up of the new frames on the echo site now.
Revolver
It's the TPA. Have you never seen an RB lever? Not really, no.I can see how it would work, and obviously if RB have made them and they work, its a successful design.Denguras leaked like a bitch, didn't they?hopefully they've solved that problem then. JT!
The FP leaver worked that way too, and that worked nearly perfectly.I love how they've split it down into 3 sections. Beginers / lightweight / strength. They've gone and opened themselves up to a much bigger biketrials market.Downside is though we're gonna see some echo stuff start to brake which'll be a first. Are all the parts just going to be echo like a few years back, or is everything gonna be branded with zoo and adamant etc? Dan6061
Why doesn't he make 4bolt AND disc mounted frames?
Sponge
I'm really impressed by what Deng's done, and I'm sure many people will still slate him, but it would be totally ignorant to not say that he has revolutionised much of the trials we enjoy today. Some of his components here and there weren't too impressive, namely his first year (2006) of coloured wide rims which failed horribly. Don't expect the bearing quality to be on par with the likes of King, but certainly the solid aluminium components are very respectable. The quality is surprisingly good still, i believe, for most parts. As for frames, looking at the CNC pictures, this coming season marks a new era for Deng frames. They are headed in the direction of Koxx-esque frames it seems, and this is a great advance technologically (e.g. super CNC'd dropouts, drilled out gussets here and there, double butted here and there etc.. I'm sure these new frames will look far far different from what previous years' frames have been like. Look at how Koxx's mod XTP (2005/2006, the silver one) has evolved... it was a simple design with a simple look that rode well, which Deng's frames of old were like. Now the current 07/08 XTP has been catapulted way ahead technologically and is in many ways 'ahead' of other brands' frames. I mean, just look at the thing! Coloured here and there with impressive water-printed graphics and very advanced dropouts and machined out areas here and there, drilled out here and there, with double and triple butted here and there.Me personally, I loved the simplicity of many of Deng's old frames, and I'm sure many others out there would agree. The Deng frames of 2003-2008 were usually simplish, sleek, strong, with simple colouring... I believe these were in the same 'style' of frame-mould as the old Koxx Levelboss and XTP mods of yesteryear. Now It looks like Deng's upgrading his roster into something that will near-enough fit the 'style' of frame-mould as the new Koxx Hydroxxs and XTPs. Personally, i love what's been done about many components. The ti bolts thing is a nice touch! The rims look great. I wonder what he'll do for the other brands? 16 years later
Denguras leaked like a bitch, didn't they?hopefully they've solved that problem then.not heard of any leaking problems for a while now! I think there was a tiny amount of swarf in the origional Echo bodies (tiny amount!) that just upset the seals a tad. I beleive they are now cleaned more before assembly and it seems to have solved the issues.Thats what Ali C said in another topicI've had mine you almost two years and it's never leaked once
