rich4130 Posted February 18, 2006 Report Share Posted February 18, 2006 If your keen on bunnyhops go for the ashton, never ever even ridden one I don't think, but would be better for bunnyhops. not many people can bunnyhop controls with flat bars etc, But I have a 1060 pure with risers, high ones and I can bunnyhop it ok. Ali C Posted February 18, 2006 Report Share Posted February 18, 2006 a lot of its down to how you have your bar and stem set up.A short high bar and stem will make more difference than the wheelbase of the bike.I still say ashton though, this isnt because of sponsorship though, I genuinly believe the ashton is the nicest mid length bike out, its PERFECT for someone who wants to do streety stuff AND ride natty.Also, another tip I have for easier bunnyhops.........tilt your bars back a little, the rear sweep really does help! gavtrials Posted February 19, 2006 Report Share Posted February 19, 2006 An honest reply from me is that anyone who is riding a 1080+frame who jumos on my ashton all say wow this is what a trials bike should feel like.I think at the moment 1065 is a very perfect trials length for all angles of riding and allso the frame is super strong, Mines going on for about 9 months now and ive smakced the hell outa it and its still holding up strong as ever! Oh, and for Ali, i run the 100mm Echo Control stem with the 28" pazzaz risers and it feels nice and stable, but is still bunnyhopable. A good setup for comps i rekon. i think its 5 degree rise. I am however tempted to whack my old kore stem and invest in some azonics/eastons for more streetyness, but as i said this is fine for hops after some getting used to.
