If its tight enough that its come out of the crank, its tight enough that clamping it up in the vice will distort it and make it useless. Heat works but its a faff compared with putting it back together properly and trying again.

Cant quite see in the pictures, but the thread for the locknut on the end looks a bit buggered. Try cleaning the whole lot up, screwing it back in and putting the locknut on the back as tight as you can. Then try taking the pedal out again. Otherwise give it a REALLY good clean and some araldite on the threads and leave it for a day or so before trying again.

There are no methods which dont involve large amounts of force on the spokes, but I don't know anyone who's knackered a wheel through this. Best way is wrap an old chain round it then stick a big pair of stillsons over the chain. Get someone else to hold the wheel and give the stillsons some pasty.

The zona has a one piece BB shell and yoke too. Besides the fact its less than half the price of the zoo, its got a better warranty and fewer bummers

i would presume those to be jobs at computers, so you can keep tabs on the forum as well. This forum is under control, few people complain apart from those with nothing more constructive to do during the daytime.

But this is a bike forum, by its very nature mods will want to go ride, and compared to computer forums, most riders have a social life and their out most of the time anyway.

If the sprockets are older than the chain, thats probably the problem. That or the chain is catching on the bashguard.

If you have front freewheel, its quite likely to be that.
