  1. Its quite simple really just takes some getting used to. Firstly you need to make sure you have decent control on the back wheel, go up onto the back wheel and take correction hops until your comfortable, then preload (meaning bend your legs ready for the push) then throw your weight upwards with a sharp kick, as you begin going upwards you lean into the object, not too steeply as you'll jusy smack it but so you can definetly get your front wheel on, then drag up the back by throwing your weight forward onto the front. There is also tucking down onto the bike but that comes naturally as you gain height. Basically you don't even need to think about it, it will just come with time if you get out there and ride. hope thats useful, Phil
  2. Jees, you guys are right no doubt, I agree with you: brakes, no brakes its all good fun and braintree is talking some rubbish. But I think your getting abit over excited finding it 'appauling to critisize someone far superior to him', we are talking about who can ride a bicycle better, this isn't the army! Just my thoughts. Phil P.S can't wait to see some new vids from him!
  3. I say going to front is better as it: - Gives you (in my opinion) more safety as you can throw the back right up and onto. - Gives you the oppotunity to switch onto the backwheel which can be very useful. - Less chance in it all going down the crapper generally as you can tell if your backwheel isn't over or up enough. Then again when you want to climb a very thin object maybe the two wheel method is more precise and most high level riders go to both. Phil

    New Video...

Really awesome riding, sidehops were mint. Wasn't sure about the dress sense (no offence) Phil
  5. haha actually laughed! Looks about 8 but he sure can sidehop like a beast! Phil
  6. Cheers guys Yeah rides very well just I'm looking for something abit longer with some bb rise. Stem does have silly rise I agree, just what I've got used to, find lower bikes built for taps etc hard to handle. Phil

    Onza T-rex.

Overall they are preety damn nice. They are strong, ride nicely, aren't the lightest but with a decent spec needn't be heavy. Just try get rid of the dodgy decals I've had my T-Rex for a while now and am moving to a toxsin 1 for some moderate BB rise and abit less weight. Strong and reliable frame. Phil
  8. Well I'm moving onto a toxsin 1 soon so I thought I'd show my updated T-Rex before it is gone forever. Served me well! and ended up looking quite nice. Tell me what you think. Cheers, Phil
  9. Ah my bad didn't realise. Glad you guys liked it anyway. Phil
  10. I know its not trials, but it's all about getting out there and riding, I think it has a good message, but you might find it abit cheesy. Viddddd Cheers, Phil

    Mbuk....

Overall I am agreement with what has been said - mbuk could be improved if it featured new, up and coming riders. Personally I stopped buying it because on the trials pages it only gives you 5 minutes worth of reading which you could more than account for by reading the 'news' thread on this forum. In all fairness im sure less than 5% of Mountain bikers in the UK ride trials so it seems atleast proportionate. Waynio, I agree with what your saying nearly 100% but in the above quote I just don't think it's right. This is a forum, as you said 'each to their own' which means if people have a negative viewpoint they are fully entitled to aire it, everyone being positive about everything would be ideal but it's not about what people 'should' say its about what they want to say. Apart from that, you speak the truth Cheers, Phil
  12. Ah man, you topless lying against the car and the dodgy music really gave me the impression of a cheap porno! (no offence intended) The riding was awesome, some huge stuff gonig on, the music was horrific though. Phil
  13. aha I may be interested! How long you had it? Did you buy it first hand? Phil
  14. Anyone know? Not on supercycles and tarty have stopped stocking them. Phil
  15. QUOTE (Ben b @ Nov 28 2007, 09:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hahahahahahaha >OMFG you make me piss haha carpet your asking for a trip to the local a & e. when carpet gets wet it goes soggy , damp and slippy haha. and it smells after it it gets wet. I couldt stop laughin when i read that hahahaha oh my god Looks mint oakley yer chicken wire(Y). Cheers ben Incorrect, carpet does actually work, I said the same whn my mate started nailing it on but its been there for months and months now, grippy in all conditions. Phil
  16. That was shocking, nothing else needs to be said.

    Stock Rims.

Try - all all the way!
  19. Hugh_B - £150 would be allright, will have a look out for them, need to investigate them abit more, thanks for your input mate. Wet Banana - Thanks for the info, the Toxsin looks like it could be a good idea also at £150 or there abouts just not sure if it will suit my riding. Ad101 - Haha but how tall are you? Rode a czar a few weeks ago, was nice I guess but not perfect for me, very different to my T-Rex as you can imagine. As for the Bt's I dont think they are too much different in geo to the toxsin 1, just had a look at the Simantra, looks good, moderate BB rise but aren't too cheap. Looking to pay about £180 for a second hand frame. Petrum - Like I said above I was under the impression the BT's weren't far off the Toxsin 1 and im not 100% sure thats what im looking for in a frame, look quite natural orientated but I do abit of both. Pashley26 - 2 months without tarty is a crime! Balfa - Ah yeah the T-Rex's are preety long, just weigh quite abit and have 0BB rise so i'm just ready to move on. Ah yeah ead the topic, cheers for the link - guess the pure is out of the runnings. I doubt Simantras would be about for around £180, cheers. Thanks for all the responses guys, appreciated. Phil
  20. Thanks for the advice Adam, would like one but I'm not up for spending £300 on a frame, would need to find a second hand one and not many will be about yet. Nearly got my hands on one of them as my mate was gonig to get an Ozony and sell me his but hasn't come through. Cheers, Phil QUOTE (hugh_b @ Nov 26 2007, 09:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>limey 2 dude! The new one is solid as a rock. 1085 wheelbase but one of the longest reach frames. I'm 6ft and it's comfy for me, maybe even more for a slightly taller person. around a +10mm bb but anything much higher and it doesn't tap too nice. Ah never considered the Limey 2. Seen the gusseting on it, looks insane strong! Any idea how much they weigh though? 10BB sounds quite nice. Would need to see what kinda price they go for second hand, any ideas? Cheers, Phil
  21. I'm currently looking for a new frame, I'm 6 foot 2 and into my sport so weigh over 90kg. I'm currently riding a T-Rex but I'm in need of something with a bit of BB rise (not talking +60 or anything!) Essentially I'm looking for a long frame, which is strong enough to take abuse, has a bit of BB rise and is lighter than my T-Rex. Firstly I've been looking as the Toxsin 1 but im not 100% about it. Secondly was looknig at the long Pure, apparently have a nice geo, have medium BB rise - 35mm and are light as, quite worried I'd snap it though. Thirldy could get my hands on a toxsin 2 easily but don't think it would be right for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phil
