You're better off buying a light part than modding a heavy part. The light part was manufactured to be like that, I wouldn't modify a heavy part unless you Know where the stress areas are. I got my mod down to 8.5kg's with no modding other than cutting tyre tread. You just gotta think about the parts you're buying, find the comprimise between weight and strength. E.g, front wheels don't take much stress/bashing, so you could get something like a dob rim on a viz/koxx/neon hub maybe.

Do the try-all clamps make setting up a brake much easier/more accurate? Are they worth getting?

Looks wrong. Super big rake on forks and a stupidly long top/down tube? I am defintely know business expert but who is gonna buy this bike? There are extremely few 'little' rider, out of them how many can afford a full build like that with pretty good parts on? Also, how will they ever know about it other than if they come on here, and even then....how many under 10's do we have on here?
