  1. See if you could borrow someones 20" mod for a day, really helps when learning. That's how i did it anyway, you'll likely be trials hopping within the hour and then you can transfer the skills to your own bike.
  2. Yes, it's way smaller than it looks. The sidewalls split easily if you're gonna ride rocks with it, needing patching up with sections of old tyre. But it's grippy, light and pretty pinch resistant. I woulddn't get another.
  3. Thought that was pretty sound advice personally. Constipation is driving me mad.
  4. Ahem.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/9641806/Occupy-protesters-were-right-says-Bank-of-England-official.html# The protesters had been right about bankers’ behaviour and the consequences of extremely high salaries and bonuses in the financial sector and other industries, he said. “I do not just mean right in a moral sense,” he added. “It is the analytical, every bit as much as the moral, ground that Occupy has taken. For the hard-headed facts suggest that, at the heart of the global financial crisis, were — and are — problems of deep and rising inequality.”
  5. In the mean time, here's the latest news from the centre of our galaxy, http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/nustar/news/nustar20121023.html At last, the NuSTAR telescope is up and running, this is the first clear image of our mother hole. Just in time for the epic feast on an approaching gas cloud, awesome.
  6. Watch live images through huge robotic telescopes, flick between views. Half meter telescope is a good one: http://events.slooh.com/ They asked viewers to tell everyone about it and they are doing a pretty amazing thing
  7. Go Ashton haha, sure showed us what can be done on a racer didn't he.
  8. WW2 comes under the fascinating subject of world history, which is really helpful for understanding WW2 in a wider context. I've visited a few graveyards in France on the way through, there's an awful lot of them
  9. http://www.falmouthp...time/?ref=fbrec Cornish are funny folk..
  10. They're everywhere aren't they, it's like they're sleep walking.
  11. My mate, he said if you came to Shanghai to ride they would regard you as 'master'
  12. Just been told you've got some fans in China how cool are you!
  13. autistic people are fascinating! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR36jrx_L44&feature=related
  14. His riding gives me nightmares.
  15. New design is way better than the welded ones. The welding on my stem was a bit naff for such an important weld, it lasted a year of sporadic riding so cant complain.
  16. wtf is that lion thinking?
  17. Gotta love physics. Did you know that a major component of the force of friction is a newly discovered drag caused by the alignment of the 'spin' of atomic nuclei in the atoms making up the two surfaces. Along with electrical and heat forces of course.
  18. Guess you could add 'and sadistic' to this saying, Max
  19. Haha! I first said underside, dur. Anyway..
  20. I'll let that stew for a bit.. Also, which side of a cat is the hairiest? If your still into this, how many degrees are there between the two hands of a clock at 3:15 pm?
  21. So, What's unusual about this paragraph? Just how quickly you can find out what is so funny about it. It looks fairly ordinary and plain that you might think nothing is wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly curious though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you could just find out. Quick Hint: What is missing within this paragraph?
  22. I would try squeezing James or Matts testicles but I don't think they'll fit in my hand, so I just squeeze my left grip now, seems to help
  23. Hi all, so after reading about this experiment you will just have to give this a try before a ride, probably worth doing something similar with your left foot too: The test was only done on right handed people so it's not certain that it works in reverse but it's worth a try. http://medicalxpress.com/news/2012-09-simple-routine-athletes-pressure.html In three experiments with experienced soccer players, judo experts and badminton players, researchers in Germany tested the athletes' skills during practice and then in stressful competitions before a large crowd or video camera. Right-handed athletes who squeezed a ball in their left hand before competing were less likely to choke under pressure than right-handed players who squeezed a ball in their right hand. The results are pretty convincing, fire up your brains!!
