The way that was shot/ edited genuinely gave me a headache. Riding was alright, i quite miss bikes.

WHERE ARE YOUR GLASSES. THIS ISN'T YOU.

Yeah, i kinda see that; but when it's something SO basic that everyone on the course should know already it's just infuriating. The whole year has comprised of people teaching me shit i already know, feel so de-motivated about it all. If second year's anything like this i'm off. I've done more personally that i'm proud of this year than i have in uni. Makes you think.
-
Just been catching up with one of my friends from foundation, she's alright but nothing special and thanks to her uni has had her work featured in GQ and is in the running for ad contracts. What am i doing? Kerning the word Railway. This course is a f**king piss take.

That's not quite what i was getting at with my post, but the last line is pretty much on the money for me.

I disagree completely - i don't for a minute believe we're not a cause, and i completely disagree with the 'war' itself, but it's at a level where neither side is likely to back down without some form of offensive from the other. It'd be great if everyone was a decent person and could just say "hey man, sorry about all this shit - my bad. Let's be friends, k?" but it isn't. If for example the Taliban held their hands up, they'd be hunted down by the allied forces, and if we just gave up, dropped all defences and went back to a pre-9/11 state of security, someone would inevitably breach that, still having the same problems now so ingrained in their mind.

Jeez, don't blame you for swapping them! Could be pretty catastrophic if it did fail. And cheers! Your dad had taste haha. Sorted the wiring out hopefully for the last time with plenty more fiddling. Went and gave the car a quick wash today too (jetwashed it like a motherf**ker, detailing KING) and just as i dried it all off, it pissed it down. The world is not my friend. Did go without the ipod for a change though, only station the radio picks up is Classic FM - made drifting my way home pretty comical
-
The whole situation's f**ked, but with both sides at each other's throats there's no possible way either could back down - seems a bit catch 22 to me.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/may/22/woolwich-first-person-account this is worth reading.

I'd really like to know the full circumstances of this, seems everyone's gone apeshit with the "it's terrorism" thing, but where does the smashed up car etc come into it? There was a brief mention on the BBC site which then seemed to just descend into all manner of confusion as the article went on.

f**k, so i did! Regardless of how many times i tried to post a picture, it still needs more fiddling I'm getting quite bored of this.

That's a stunning photo EDIT: i am a mong and have already posted this picture on this page. Lights almost work, I've now lost the dash lights and rear number plate light (i think these are all on the same circuit) and the red light above the ignition (assuming this is the ignition warning light?) won't go out. How odd.
-
Never seen that before! does it even out when it's revved or...? I can't see it coming off though! SUCCESS! I now have fully working lights, working indicators, working hazards and a handbrake that's GR8 4 SKIDZ. Next up is making the heater, heated rear screen and rear wiper work. Oh, and the washers. We're getting there...

Phone him up, give us his name.

No, unfortunately. i've cleaned up all the earths i can find, one definitely upset the inner main beams so i'm guessing there'll be another one tucked out of the way that i've not found yet... Gonna have dinner and try again, just seems totally bizarre, especially with the brake light still working - it's the same bulb ffs!
-
I have no lights down one side of my car, but the brake lights work (dual filament bulb) and so do the indicators and inside main beams. No blown fuses, everything's connected, earths seem fine. WAT.

That's exactly what i said. There will always be people with beards to keep the truly mint original cars going, so they'll always be around. My plans for it aren't even that radical, it's all (bar a possible engine swap) things that Ford actually offered back when the cars were still for sale. Don't think so, it could have been though! It's got no spoiler now and has white/ polished RS 4 spokes now, still looks pretty mean. Don't think it's been on the road for a while, but i've not checked up on that for quite a while. W123s are amazing, dooooooo it! I was looking at getting one to use as a more economical/ sensible daily not so long a go - now i have two completely impractical cars instead
-
Looking real good, prawn! In other news, i have never known people to get so upset about a car that's not theirs before, Jeeeeeeeeesus... I've offered people the chance to PX their own Capri against this to save it from the horrific period modifications i want to do to it, no-one's got in touch yet

First band i ever saw live was Milburn when i was like 13, last night i was jamming with their drummer before our gig who's also an all-round top bloke. This makes me happy. I also finally met Muel and Ogre. This also makes me happy.

Sounds ideal, she's running some quotes on it now. I'm playing the Great Gatsby tomorrow night, if you're anywhere near there message me your number and i'll pop over - you're more than welcome to come to the gig too!
-
If you're seriously looking at selling that Dunc, i might take it for my sister in a month or so - i know you're not gonna be running a shitter PM me! I'm in Sheffield tomorrow so could have a look at it if you're about.
-
Shut up Dan, we only care about gearboxes here. I spent 2 hours changing a wing mirror the other day, that was fun. I also still don't have a working handbrake

Anything from Martin always excites me a little bit, didn't disappoint!
