Clean it up with a wire brush and a rag, then see if there is any obvious damage to the threads, if not put a good amount of grease on the threads and see if it is any better. If it is still abit stiff you can use the tool to help you get it on. But if there is quite alot of resistance then don't force it and I would get the threads looked at before any irriversable damage is done to the threads.

No equally hard. http://www.southwestwater.co.uk/media/pdf/2/3/Hard_Water.pdf There is one area that gets close. It might not be the cause but it might be a factor. He might just be lucky.

Here is my opinion from exprience. My favourite ratios though that I have tried on my inspired are 22:16 and now I am using 18:13 which are both very similar.

I have a theory. Might be a load of bollocks though. Do you think Hard Water http://www.dishwasher-care.org.uk/facts.html could effect maguras? Matthew62 your from London yes? The london area has quite hard water and your having problems. Were as N.wood is from Devon. We have quite soft water and he hasn't had any problems. My theory is that if hard water leaves mineral build-up on kettles and dishwashers (although mostly on the heating elemtents), could it be effecting the maguras in anyway? It would be interesting to know the succuss rates of tap water bleeds in different areas.

You will need a small star nut.

Looks sweet. And for only £120... nice work!

Just measured my old ones and they came in at about 405mm from axle to crown.

They aren't a direct fit. They need to be filed/grinded slightly as they are a little too wide to fit with it. Which is very easily done, I just thought I would let you know so you have no suprises if you manage to get hold of one.

I am using them now but I can't compare them to continentals. Grip isn't the best I have used but they are by far not the worst. They are shite though on wet concrete slabs like paths and pavements I found. Bounce ain't bad but again not the best. For the price and weight though I say they are worth it. Make sure they will fit your frame though. They are pretty wide.

It was a mega hard decision between 1 and 2, but I settled with 2 because for me it is more enjoyable to watch with the better action scenes. Plus I liked Arnie being the good guy. He didn't do or say that much in the first one in comparison. 3 was shite, 4 was ok.

All I have is the classic shin meeting pedal scars, one near my elbow which I got from going through a narrow alley and not paying attension and one on my knee. But I can't remember how I got that one. I know it was a trials crash though.

I thought it was a King, but the lack of noise made me unsure . It looks pretty similar to the classic but with smaller areas of polystyrene on the inside, but the actual thinkness of the polystyrene looks the same. Do you or anyone know if the Classic is the same shape and bulkyness (can't think of another word to describe it but i'm sure you know what I mean) as the Lasek signature model but with a solid polystyrene inner?

Bike looks cool. I did like it more when it was all black though (I have a soft spot for all black bikes). 2 questions... What rear hub are you using? I can't quite tell from the pic. It's very quiet. And what helmet are you using in the video? Pro-tec? I need a new helmet and all the ones I have tried on in my LBS look like mushrooms. I quite like the shape of that one and it doesn't look as bulky on your head then some others do.

There is a trialtech bashring coming out soon that will fit the 22T sprocket according to Mark W in his bike pic thread. The advantage of a bashring is that if you happen to land on it you don't bend or mess up the teeth of your front sprocket.

I meant someone else who wasn't stupid enough to get in a car all pissed up with a drunk driver. Like if they hit another car or a pedestrian.

Those people sicken me. Shame, Ryan was one of my favourite of the Jackass bunch. Stupid buuger though with the speeding and drinking. Like said, good job nobody else was hurt or killed.

Really? I thought it was quite funny. The guy with the glasses was brilliant, such a funny scream.

From my experience with onza rim they seemed to hold grinds quite well (but not the best I have used). But I guess it depends on which onza rim you have as they might not all be the same. As for pads, have a look in the pads review sticky topic. Or go on tartybikes and see what the recommended use are for pads and have a look at some reviews in the rad review topic. It's down to preference really but if I had to recommend some to you I would suggest considering heastink (from personal experience), TNN or phat pads (as there seems to be quite abit of hype about them). If you get some in CNC backings, make sure they are set up nice and square.

The Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal is also ok. REC The Shining (but its does take ages to get started properly) The Exorcist The origional Halloween, Friday the 13th and Nightmare on elm street. The rest in those franchises aren't too great, but some are ok. Halloween is my favourite of those. I didn't like the origional Texas Chainsaw Massacre but I quite liked the remake. Paranormal Activity 2 is good. I didn't think much of the 1st one. Saw and Scream 1 but you have probably already seen these. Oh and Club Dread is also definatley one to watch!

If you look at brake boosters on tartybikes, in the descrition somewhere it will say something like this. If the spaceing of your brake mounts (center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole on the opposite side) fit between the minimum and maximum spacing for the booster then the booster will fit your frame. I haven't had a go on a phase M.A.D before but I imagion they aren't the stiffest of frame, so I would get a 4-bolt booster if I were you. I know from experience that the Tensile 4-bolt booster is a very stiff, cheap booster. I have been using one for ages now as I like my brake to feel as solid as possible. It will fit your bike aswell if your measurement are correct.

How much would you say it moves? Are your pads set up quite close to the rim? Have the spokes got enough tension on them? If they are, wheels do have a small amount of sideways flex so it probably isn't anything to worry about. If they are abit loose, put abit more tension on them and see if that improves it.

Since you are a beginner I would recommed a dirt jump style helmet reather than a XC style one. They will be abit hotter but they will take more knocks then a XC helmet before you have to replace it and as a beginner you will probably fall off abit more to start with. But it's your choice. 661, giro, TSG, bell etc make some good helmets. I suggest you get the best one you can afford.
