  1. Is this amp going to be hardwired in to the old headunit harness? Where will you put it so it's accessible for volume/power switch? Surely you'll end up putting it in the headunit slot anyway? Clever idea but as mentioned by Tomm, a 3.5mm jack wouldn't be a bad idea at all (and a charging station for your chosen source of media so you don't arrive everywhere with a flat 'generic MP3' player)
  2. Someone (else) has been on Pinkbike!! kids a phenomenal talent, would like to what he does with a full size bike!
  3. I'd also get off at every stop and keep an eye on it to make sure it's not damaged by clumsy/careless drivers/passengers
  4. We don't like it when the city lights start fading, when the city lights fading then we can't get down!
  5. Rob P's time lapse in Plymouth is quite cool (didn't realise you lived in P-Town!!). But what struck me was the intensity of light changes and how the main precinct was looked warm and welcoming then the side spurs and underpasses and crossings looked so dark and sketchy!!

    oh my god

Travis Pastrami? Travis Pepperoni? mental flips, that 30cm had whiplash written all over it!
  7. we have a winner. what an odd position
  8. please call it ballz days
  9. Try having a gander on a bmx site like pijin/alans/winstanleys for linear cables. They were designed to stop barspins binding up the cable and applying the brake, but work really nicely, as mentioned above, to give a light lever feel and good control (as the outer doesn't bunch up, this prevents power loss) Decided to be kind and include a few links Pijin Alans
  10. reminds me vaguely of pop art but not being a designer i can offer no further assitance
  11. if you have issues with security, a mate wrapped his crappy shed with weldmesh and tacked it together, then ran a much thicker frame with bracing and put 3 bolts with padlocks on it. shank bolts all the way into thickened frame which was braced and reinforced the door in a similar way. wasn't pretty for about a year then the ivy growth hid it into the corner of his garden really well. Edit: or make a weldmesh cage inside the shed, it's a mother to cut through and really noisy work. steel rimmed lid/frame would make it inpenetrable and keep it cheap too!
  12. When I'm in a lecture I can make very quick notes and sketches and diagrams with a good old fashioned pencil on the print-outs when there isn't enough room for a laptop (realistically I'd be chicken winging the people next to me) This makes the printout invaluable. Plus after spending money on my desktop to run serious engineering software I couldn't afford a laptop/tablet pc/Iphone/smartphone/gizzmo/techy shite. And having a hard copy of notes makes revision 44,953x easier as i can have 5 or 6 sheets visible at once without having to flick my head up or down or even stop writing.
  13. surely you can't plug it into an ipad anyway?
  14. haha, mine developed a habit of printing the negative of whatever you printed, if it was a word document, it'd only print half a page then set off an air raid klaxon to say it was out of black ink (which it never was) My new one likes printing a blank page halfway through a file, so you have to go back and work out which page it was, and print the selected pages which it will insert another random blank into as well, quite irritating when you're often printing 30-40 page reports for uni or 15 pages of notes for a lecture which is taking place in half hour (and getting into uni took me 20 minutes!)
  15. opposites attract, same pole repel, thats how magnets work.

Buy a volvo. My dad was in the back of a laguna in a crash which began at ~65 mph. After they came to rest the roof had crushed the front headrests and was touching the main body of the seat, yet the car had got no shorter or deformed other then the obvious head room deficeincy. all three people walked away (well my dad was on a spinal board but fine apart from sprains and bruising)
  17. 'I'll finish with a bang like Kurt Cobains biography.'- Hard Road by Hilltop Hoods Basically the whole of 'Fifty in Five' by Hilltop Hoods There's a dude on here, his sig is something I grew up hearing- 'An amateur practices until he can get it right. A professional practices until he can't get it wrong.' 'They say it’s fate, but take a proper view They’re trying to hold so many destiny’s in their hands They’re bound to drop a few So the more we keep moving, the better chance we got Everybody knows a rolling stone gathers no moss' Akala I'm gonna leave this for editing and adding as I remember them all!!
  18. A friend of mine had his parents bar him from investing in Liverpool football club many many years years ago. He was going to invest his 3k inheritence. very risky business. However they'd now be worth something like 60k But he could also have lost the lot. If it's your own hard earned cash I'd be reluctant to go with something that risky. ISA's etc are a much more safe and easily monitored form of investing!
  19. Unsure on hot level, but she is, apparently, illiterate.
  20. Someone was discussing the effects of a 50.cal weapon? See below for the capabilities
  21. Nice! the Uncle a blood relation?? sounds like she's pretty similar to those swedish twins in BOTI
  22. yeah but someone brings him up later in the thread Muel Yeah it's different here Alex, Unless we could prove the council were negligent/liable there'd be no payout. But we were both fine and the damage was suprisingly minimal to the MGF, only a smooth wet grass and soft sapling hedge luckily! It needed a dent popped and a spray on the back end and a new back box but other then that all was well!!
  23. Ah right got you!!! Yeah I use the word 'abuse' in the loosest way. Wasn't offended, just made me doubt myself, now I remember my therapist said I should never doubt myself, so I'm off to try flying out the window...
