I'll hold my hand up if I am wrong and the Odyssey tyres are around the 900kg mark, they don't feel it at all though.
-
I don't have anything to accurately measure it from but I would (after doing the standard holding it up against other tyre's that I have in my garage) say it was around the 700g mark. When I come in I'll bring my new pair with me. Edit: Just found the "Claimed" weight of the tyre is 560g

Seen lot's of punctures on rides with conti's and lots or riders struggling to get them back on the rim! Also seen riders running them super deformed and even riders just not going for some gaps because they don't want to get a puncture. I'm on a Odyssey P-Lite 2.35 dual ply, wire bead and 50a compound. That's obviously a tad narrower than usual but it feels good (I'm currently on a 47mm rim, changing down to a 35 soon) grippy and I've fair hammered it at some gaps to make sure it's up to the job and haven't pinched yet, wire bead just tops it off for me. Knowing that if you did dent your rim for any reason your tyre isn't going to deform or pop off is a bit more reassuring. The only negative is that in the wet it wouldn't grip the same as a Air King down to the profile pattern. Edit: I've ridden a fair amount of street on the tyre, also Shipey glen in the woods and not had any grip issues (mainly just suck at natural).

Looking good with a pretty decent build, Hate filters that take away some colour though.

That's the weekend the "Tour de Yorkshire" is on, could turn out to be a pain for trains/roads and a packed Leeds. Edit: I'd be up for a ride

You have done the right thing and told them it's about as appealing as calling your company Hashtagg?

I filed it out and replaced the bolt that holds the mech in place with something to run a snail cam against. Worked perfectly fine, I also did that with a 2013 Foreplay and the latest model Foreplay (which I had to drill and tap for a snail cam bolt on). No tensioner is way better for my riding style but having a tensioner seems to suit a lot of riders also. In my opinion anyone moving to street who didn't have one before is best just opting to continue not to have one. Video wise this is really cool I watched it on my phone the other day quickly and it was worth a second view on my laptop for sure. I think The Black Keys have been used to death a bit within the riding community now though and to end on a high Aaron should be the last person to use them for a couple of years!

I would sort the brakes out when you can regardless as you're just having to put more effort into your riding anyway. Bar and lever angle wise If you run your bars forward your body should follow if you're one of the people who roll them forward but still stand in the same position over your bike or your geo just doesn't really suit that then you're also just making effort for yourself.

Those cranks just finish steel bikes off, are you making up for the heaviness by having plastic pedals?

I have a Pro2 Trias/SS hub in Blue with the only downfall being that it is 36h. I would sell the hub for £50 bare (no sprocket, spacing kit and lockring) which you don't get with them as new anyway. You would need to find a 36h rim along the lines of https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=36hole+24%22+rim&tbm=shop&spd=12331491865913027144(Sorry for the massive link) if that is any good to you. Also Hope warranty is pretty good they would replace a hub with a damaged shell/ratchet. They do also offer pretty good service prices at around £40 with returned postage. A friend of mine just got his hub serviced with new springs/pawls and bearings for £50 with returned postage (I think that took around 4-5 days) so Hope do look after their customers for sure hence their reputation being what it is. Getting your hub serviced so it comes back like new every 2 ish years for that kind of money is way more cost effective than replacing a free wheel once a year.

I agree, Here in the UK we have a problem that we need to resolve with the comp scene and just general trials. In Barcelona we saw kids on all sorts of home made trials frames/bikes that were probably 3-4th hand and it just makes it easier for them with more places to go to ride and practice. Retired professional riders making a living off coaching and having deals with schools to teach cycle safety (even though when you see some of the people on bikes in the city you want to run them over just so you don't have to watch how bad they are on a bike). It could only help the world rounds been given better media but they would have to fairly mix things up to make it better. To compare the world bike trial rounds to the motorbikes (so the indoor rounds) you could have speed sections and stuff before the finals to place riders into the finals that would make it more fun to watch and mix the riding in the sections up a little. Edit: to add to the above I find myself having to drive to get to rides more than I used to with a lot less options of riders to go ride with.

Have you checked his Bebo, Myspace and wordpress?

Kenny is the more popular of the two but reading it Kenny's just defending himself while Giacomo seems to be more passionate about getting the sport in general back on its feet. He also offers to attend meetings so you can't really say for someone who lives in a different country to do much more. He will have so many other riders talking to him as a high level rider to get his point across. The worst thing that could have happened was it be broadcast on social media instead of keeping it all between them, in my opinion they both come across as bad a each other. The pressure of Kenny getting all this from other riders has to be some what annoying though I understand that as it's mainly the UCI. It would be interesting to see what other world ranked riders have to say on the subject (without second hand info). Would resorting to holding events on the rocks instead of city centre not make it possible for more rounds? I remember even before I started riding going up and watching a world round at Addingham moorside. That's something the comp scene could use over here having a event like that held over here again.

I understand that but there's having a decent video with slow mo, then just having a slow mo video. I haven't discredited the riding and seeing him pin those up to fronts is great but real time those clips too! I still think with the right sort of person on the job you'd have a seriously good video on your hands even if he wasn't riding on top form! Some of the older Photo by Sergio videos used to be great to watch.

Not to be negative but he's such a good rider these videos always just seem to ruin it, similar with Gilles and co the moves just get spoiled after slow motion, at least show them in real time! The media that those guys could potentially make with the right people filming them would be outstanding!
