Agree with asking what he wants or a gift card/voucher for somewhere he spends a shitload of money. My sister in law got me and the wife both a voucher for a local spa treatment which is a win in my eyes. No man ever complains when there's a rub down and a sauna involved!

Yeah I plan on changing the clamp and post at the least, might spray the forks yet as I've got some black left over from doing the badges on my car. @Mark Wbit random but looked at that pic of your old red Fourplay and I'm pretty sure the pedals on this are the same ones. Everyone seemed to moan about snapping TR platforms but these must have seen service on at least 7 bikes over the last 5-6 years!

Bar angle may change when I actually ride trials on it, was only used to go to the shop for chocolate today though!

Oh yes cheers, only just managed to fit the cranks today as I couldn't fit the bottom bracket!

Finally got my bike built up, running brakeless for now until I can afford some MT7'S (missed a set on ebay the other day for £120!). Build is 2012 Fourplay frame, Team forks, @Dman's old blue Hope wheelbuilds and Raceface cranks (22-16), Chris King headset,Trialtech high rise bars and Echo TR pedals. Feels good to be back on one!

I think it was similar to the mk1 Fourplays in having a +25mm BB height (correct me if I'm wrong) but longer chainstays and wheelbase?? I was looking for one last year but couldn't get hold of any other than frames that the stays had cracked/snapped on. @HippYyeah they are the best of both worlds, would happily have another tomorrow even if they do break!

I really like Zoots, find they ride very nicely. It's just a shame that at some point the back end will separate itself from the rest of the frame.

In non CX bike news I may have picked myself up a free Spesh Rockhopper (Pro?) from around 2007. Long story short it got abandoned in the yard of a guy my dad works with by request of the police who were arresting the lad riding for being aled up. 3 months later and he hasn't claimed it so the official word from them is that he can keep it so he's passed it on to my Dad for me! Not 100% sure on the spec but if I remember rightly it was 27 speed deore/XT drivetrain with Avid juicy discs and Rockshox forks. Should do for pootling about on!
