Pretty level though if it's easier just buy a starnut and use a normal topcap with them. I've never been a big fan of the screw in topcap on them as mine always came loose but I guess some threadlock would cure that.
Personally I would go with (because I have) some Trialtech SL forks with Trialtech high rise bars and keep the stem you currently have but give yourself a bit of steerer, maybe 20-25mm. As for the pads my favourites are either Heatsink Yellows or Trialtech pads.
Not sure on the gearing choice as it may mean running a half link.
It's a refurbed Lenovo T420 with a 240gb SSD fitted, should do for what I need it for and was quite a lot under £300.
In other good news, would appear The X Files is now on Amazon Prime which I get free, absolute result!
Normally this is the busiest time of the year for the forum, all the old members and lurkers come out of the closet as the weather is usually too bad to ride in and with Christmas just been there's usually a mass of parts for sale.
Doesn't seem to have worked like that this year though.
Don't think that means you have less time to ride, I got back in to trials not long after my 1st son was born and rode all the time. It gets better when you get to the teaching to ride stage as me and my son used to go to an old factory car park down the road, he could whizz around on his balance bike whilst I played about on the walls and bollards. Then school arrives and you've got loads of free time again (assuming you don't work 9-5 that is!).
I find it's always worth having a bike in the garage/shed/back room on the off chance you fancy 15 mins playing about on it. Plus everyone enjoys building up a new bike whether it's a top end spank worthy machine or a cheapo 2nd hand budget build!
I banned (some of) the cocks and scammers and was pretty lenient on the rules to be honest. If I followed the board rules to the letter there'd be no f**ker left at all!
The lack of hold won't have anything to do with a bit of flex, that'll be down to the grind and the setup. May be worth going for a longer lever blade to give you a bit more leverage and power.
Are you 100% sure it's the frame flexing and not just one pad hitting the rim first and pushing it over?
I'm pretty sure you'd struggle to flex most frames that much with a 2 finger blade without really going for it, especially with a 4 bolt booster fitted correctly.
