  1. I assumed I have some kind of warranty seeing as I got it on Weds. I'll run the echo pads until they wear down and when I go to fit my new Coust pads I'll check how straight I've managed to get the mounts and file more if needed. Thanks for the help guys!
  2. The left hand side seems to be fine now, the right hand side is still pissed as a fart but the brake pad was worn at an angle so I'm hoping it's sorted. If it isnt sorted what can I do? Would my warrenty be affected by facing my mounts? I've also put a small scratch on the downtube, would that affect it?
  3. Running plastic Echo Tr's, getting cousts on Sunday though.
  4. I haven't checked but I can see from the angle they're hitting the rim.
  5. Got the washerless clamps on my new Echo 24trial and they arent square. I'm wondering if It'd be okay to do this at home without a stand or should I wait until I can get access to a bike stand?
  6. My brand new Echo TR brake has this problem too, it's as if the backing is stopping the pad returning, as said by Ash if you touch it if flicks back at full speed, not the slow release you'd expect from a sticky.
  7. I wonder if you'll guess mine... (Also pc, pretty much ONLY played Recon)
  8. Mods are easy and fun to ride but I've always rode short frames (995mm, 1000mm and 1005mm) Any longer and I lose that flicky feeling. Stocks I find are very cumbersome and sluggish and yet gapping I can get so much more power. e.g. Across a wide parking space, on the mod I'll get 3/4 of the way and land slightly pissed and get a touch of tyre roll, on my friends stock I'll make it to the line easy. I've settled for the middle ground and I'm please to say I'm picking up my Echo24" trial from MrMeek tomorrow

BF2 was amazing, BF:BC2 was alright, BF3 is still good but nowhere near as good as BF2 was. They've removed our commander, squad leaders do nothing, no Ingame server browser for PC and the large 64player maps are smaller than they used to be with a lot more empty space inbetween objectives. f**k you Consoletards that forced them to dum down BF3. Oh and Skyrim yay.
  10. Forums.overclockers.co.uk overclockers.com/forums Various game exploit forums and Warez forums which I'm not going to mention due to TF rules. Basically very geeky shit.
  11. I agree with riding with people better than you, if I'm in a group where I'm the best rider which barely happens because I'm shit I tend to ride poorly e.g. Simple little sides to rear, up to front wheel swaps etc I'd normally piss I just can't get. When I'm riding with better people (JackMeek, Rossy G etc) I tend to push myself a lot harder and destroy things I'd normally get nowhere close to.
  12. The V2 is much more powerful than the X2, I knew a guy that ran Tech X2's on a mod with 180's and they never had enough hold. Either get a V2 or a BB7 imo. Or look at shimano brakes, the SLX, LX and XT's are all very good and have been tested in trials.
  13. Better buy three then. Cheap componants, epecially those containing bearings will die really quickly.
  14. It will wear the pain away but It'll be fine.
  15. Ah damn, I have the choice of either a Tech V2 front or Echo TR Disc and I'm wondering whether it'd be worth going echo in the hope that it'll work?
  16. Didnt you say you've tried this before?
  17. Why not stick with a rear disc? Just get a better one.
  18. My post was concerning a Tensile 96. I now have an SL and could remove the lockring.
  19. I would personally get new brakes, probably something like the Shimano SLX's as they're quite cheap atm although if nothings broken save your money until something goes wrong.
  20. Considering I haven't read the books since I was 13(5years ago) I'm going to have to relearn most of the names of people and areas the films miss out it should keep me very busy. I have the all-in-one hardback copy though with about 30pages of maps and various illistations throughout which should help. I went through a phase of reading everything James Herbert a few years ago, read the complete Rats series, really like the last of the series though, set in post-nuclear war Britain.
  21. Kill your sister Rob, it's the only viable option.
  22. Why not look into GeoCaching?
  23. The sleepless nights and sudden distaste for gaming has brought back my love for reading, does anyone else read for fun or am I here? I pre-ordered Inheritance (Book 4 of the Inheritance series, Eragon being the first) and received Temeraire as a free gift. That was rougly 6weeks ago and since then I've read 4 of the series, so far actually wanting me to go buy the next book as soon as I finish rather than with most other books just getting the next in line when I happen to be near a book shop. Going to get book #5 in the series tomorrow, hoping to read that and book #6 before the 8th when Inheritance is finally released. Then I'll probably re-read the LOTR trilogy whilst waiting for the seventh Temeraire book to come out. Sorry for what seems to be a large block of text, it's late, I can't sleep and have nothing more to do.
