Theres nowt knowledgable or resourceful about braying something on or off with a hammer when there is a correct tool to do the job with. It reeks of cack handed gashness
I've got the old urbans, 4 bolt and disk with rear facing mounts on my blade, strong as f**k. and I'm a fat lad as well. think I must be the only rider on earth with a decent length steerer tube on mine as well, got 30mm of stackers and both bolts on my stem on it
acu gold stamp everytime. if its not good enough to race in, it's not good enough full stop. that's coming from a racer who has banged his head quite a few times
if I were you, I would take them off and give them a fresh bleed and a new set of pads before you start riding, then you can get the best possible start and not be hampered by shit brakes. a decent set of pads front and back will be about 40 quid, depending on what you go for. it's deffo worth doing in my opinion
You really are quite funny Carl. The phrase "said in jest"' is something you should learn. I ride a road bike, and have ridden a fair few fixies, just prefer gears on a bike for distance. get lycra'd up to do it. Keeps me fit for trials. And i rather enjoy it to be honest. Nowt better than getting out on a sunday morning with 20 other lycra clad blokes with bulging gussets to stare at
I know what you are saying about attracting new people to the sport, and that can only be a good thing for the sport. Are you going to class fourplays/hex/zoots as trials bikes then? Seen as they are primarily marketed as street trials? I only ask cos there is nothing to stop somebody going out and buying a zoot and just riding it through a few white markers and taking a win. Some of the street riders i know who a hopeless at comps but good on street could just turn up and win. Think it needs to be none trials branded equipment to keep it fair. Then it will be pure mtb. But thats just my humble opinion
Thats not what im getting at, the phase is ok to learn the basics on, but as soon as he starts to progress, and go bigger, a higher bb will help. Not mega high, but you have to admit a higher bb helps when on the back wheel
My rawed edd tongue, kinda wish i still had this now ive become a better rider
This was the best mod ive ever owned, proper regret selling it, but my car needed repairing at the time, so i had no choice. If i could get another one , id have it 2mora
