  1. http://volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=169239&page=9 Mike, there's a rather confusing thread for you to read regarding the sale of this car. I'd say it needs £100 knocked off.
  2. I would be game if it was several hundred miles further north.
  3. You're right about that, even though I rode really small things in my video, I still acheived many 'personal bests' during the making of it. Many congratulations, your video still amazes me. Thanks to Ben T, I had great fun making that video, even if it was terrible.
  4. I've been following the tried and tested route, but as you suggest there may be a few other types that could be made to fit. I can't really sell the Bilstein's in their current seemingly knackered state, so I feel I might as well get them fixed up. I find it hard to believe that "heavy duty" dampers from such a quality brand would wear out like this.
  5. Meh, considering the money spent I'm not overly happy with the result of the suspension work on the Volvo. Front dampers are excellent, but the front lowering springs didn't drop it quite as far as I'd hoped. The rear however is a bit lower, but the dampers are utterly useless. They are supposed to be designed for a stiff "heavy duty" type application, but they are far worse than the old ones. And to make matters worse, we somehow managed to damage one of the old rear dampers in the process so I can't put them back in. Unfortunately I bought the "new" dampers second-hand from America, so trying to send two of them back wouldn't be easy. I'm going to talk to Bilstein and see if I can get them re-valved, but that's gonna cost a fair whack. Not cool at all.
  6. I wonder what frame that is, a prototype perhaps? Looks to have a 4-bolt magura mount, but it's hard to tell.

    Delete.

I won't be able to sleep tonight.
  8. That's the best cause that I've ever signed a petition for, ha. I'm angry because this is the second weekend that I've tried to change the suspension on the brick and failed. First time due to lack of a fairly unique socket that I couldn't even get hold of in Autoparts so had to eBay it. This time due to it being stupendously rusted, so I can't separate the strut from the hub. Gutted, especially because I'm going to a sort of track day on Sunday so I wanted the "lows".
  9. Inur, are you logging your AFR? Not sure if that will help anyway.... On the subject of O2 sensors, is it generally accepted that an ECU using a narrowband o2 sensor as stock cannot understand an aftermarket wideband? I haven't been able to find much information on the subject.
  10. How did you manage this LucasMcNeal?
  11. Duratec is a decent option in my mind.
  12. Ate a cupcake yesterday with dead crickets in it. Tasty.

Yeah, one of the two drivers. Is that so you'll get free admission? Ha, will do.

Eilean Donan castle appears in so many places. Do you ever go to the "Screen Machine"? If so you've probably met my dad. Random fact for you. Edit: Maybe it doesn't go to Dornie anymore..... Back on topic, I might get round to entering this game soon.
  15. Does you desire for big power that's usable surpass your love for the Corrado? Buy rwd
  16. Why didn't TF see this? Related news; brick is now boosted to around 11psi. It's faaarrrr too much fun.
  17. That's such horrific luck, but glad you're well. I'm now even more scared of B roads.
  18. Jardo, not sure what you mean by removal of VVT, but could that not be the issue?? Robin, I would indeed shoot my load over that, haha. I almost asked you about it when I saw a bit of it via facebook, I so wish they were as cheap as 940's. Looking forward to seeing how your Scirocco progresses too. Whilst I'm here, a pic of the brick's new suspension (40mm lows):
  19. I imagine you're right, thanks for the info. I wonder weather those Subaru's used a flat or conical or angled flange? I need the conical sort, which seem to be rather rare even in the Volvo world. EDIT: I'm an idiot. It's actually the flat flange type that I need, which makes me slightly happier.
  20. Jealous of the track action, although I do have some fun things planned for March. I've been looking around at second hand td04 turbos, and getting pretty frustrated. Very few sellers state what type of exhaust flange their turbo has.
  21. I give it 4 months before you have a bike again Dan.
  22. One of my mates recently bought a 328 from a guy who also owned an E36 with a 1JZ conversion, which you may well have seen before. I'm guessing the options you listed are cheaper than a 1JZ, but let me know if you want to get in touch with the guy to ask anything. He's a member of "Garagef**kHouse". Got new dampers and springs arriving very soon, muchly excited.
  23. Technology can't be blamed for people's laziness. Screw that, ban playstations and xbox's!
  24. That's precisely why you should post your car.
  25. It would be ideal if it fits directly onto a 3" hose, which most do. I guess I'm looking for a relatively good make, but second hand to make it cheaper.
