  1. was thinking of trying to bring some colour into this build, they'd have to go black if i paint 'em. anybody know where i can get some ano crank bolts (m12's)? was thinking of red nipples and bolts, can't bring myself to do any more than that things start to look tacky when you go just the tiniest bit too far with the colours...... or maybe orange as an accent colour, just trying to get my bike as different as i can (in terms of parts ect.) i like to know i have something as unique as it can be
  2. as in the colour? the red does look a bit ghastly in the pics the more i look at it , maybe the rattle can will come out and do my eyes a favor.......
  3. measured it before i put the bb in head angle is 72 according to breath but it feels a bit sharper than that to me, guessing the reach would be closer to 670 with a 73 head angle (my measurements will prob be out by a few mm). the down tube is huge! kinda hard to get the shape of all the tubes into pics, but its oval and almost as wide as the bb shell
  4. true, i know nothing of breath forks guessing they're 30mm offset then. reach measured 670 by my measuring stick, don't think any other comany makes frames with loads of reach any more (maybe rockman?), unless you went for something with a funky steep head angle to gain the extra few mm or just run a long ass stem like i have
  5. cheers 1090 too short? the breath website says 1080wb but they might have different tape measures over there...... edit - not really light either by todays standards 1700g.
  6. think he was getting at it was just called 'sky' rather than 'sky1'..... either way take the tf bickering bullshit out of my bike pics topic
  7. nah the 2012 version has the sky2 geo (+70) this one measures 1090wb +50 378cs and a 72* head angle a bit different to the breath website claimed geo haha
  8. hahaha fills a gap, doesn't feel any different to any other rim in terms of floppiness. rotor is still bedding in, but i wouldn't want anything else stopping me up front. 1030g for the 2.5, was going to go for the FRO 'sticky rubber' version in 2.35 but it was way heavier....still a good buy for £16.50, offers more grip than the fat albert i had on the 24.
  9. so the 24 has gone and trip back to a stock was a good move feels so much more controlled and no too bad at all with the wacky 165 x 35* stem on it too. anyway some shitty pics as i'm shit with a camera some finger in this one my favorite bits of the build - ignore the rim......tarty don't have the rockman front rim in stock, so i went with the one i had lying around to fill the time gap until they do. will stick a spec up anyone's interested enjoy....
  10. the buy/sell feature (like on pinkbike) is good for browsing for stuff as its all to easy to miss something in the fs if the title doesn't say its in there, but it's not immune to scammers (there was some scamming over on there recently too, seems its filtering over too here). couldn't ever see a way of stopping it completely, if someone starts a wanted topic it's all too easy to be scammed via a pm. as a buyer you're still liable if you get scammed, badly worded replies/pm's/evasive answers/odd pics ect. usually set alarm bells of for me....even as a seller you can get scammed, even if you get paid through paypal (chargebacks iirc). imo the best approach would be a dedicated classifieds/buysell moderator, not sure forcing people to give details to members they aren't trading with is a good idea (also wouldn't cover sales via pm's either) and would put people off trading on here, granted if you were a reputable seller you would have nothing to 'hide' but i'd find it a bit invasive myself. maybe a minimum amount of posts before a member can start a topic in the fs would be a good idea (would probably stop some of the lazier scammers). new members may want to buy/start a wanted ad to get started in the trials world, so stopping them from from posting in the classified section would be unfair...after all i found my way here via the fs section after googling stuff.
  11. if some-one said to me "ere, i've got this luminous yellow bike and you're gonna love it!" i'd laugh in their face.....but that is gorgeous would have gone with black cranks and painted the steerer tube of the forks black though
  12. just some m6 bolts will do the trick, worked for me
  13. stupidest and most impossible game ever concived........http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html this guy deserves a real medal my pb was 2.9m
  14. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/user/31912-hypermobilty/ he aint been online for a while though. ukhippy might be interested in speaking to him if you do get hold of him, he's in the disputes section, unresolved still i presume....
  15. bellend from royalfail posts a missed delivery card through my door without knocking, then drives off while i'm stood at my door waving at the fanny. utter priks

I once walked past a postman walking out of my driveway, he continued to give my package to my neighbour because he'd already posted the slip through my door..

wish i could say this is the only blunder by them, but i can't. once had 3 missed delivery cards in 2 days (somehow)then the parcel got lost at the local depot, was eventually delivered by a guy in a suit driving a flash beemer.....think its a miracle anything gets to its destination nowadays.

I was so excited to get my freewheel, 1st class due next day...

"Please wait at least 48 hours before collecting"

      I was very upset..

  16. fat albert is that some sort of kortz, like the proto i saw in the fs a few months back? cant quite make out the name on the toptube, certainly faptastic though! any idea of the geo too while i'm pestering
  17. just because it's close to where i live.........i'm a lazy sod.
  18. so if technique is irrelevant we should give Pudzianowski a bike and he'll take the piss out of every one...........
  19. paul kaye is a genius....strutter was an awesome show
  20. always had a soft spot for the bow frames black forks, cranks, stem and rear rim and it'd be swish how are you finding the rockman bars? the silver ones i had felt a bit on the floppy side zhi rim looks an awful lot like the rockman rim i have too. haha the only part that has made it from all the previous builds i've ran is my fw......
  21. to be fair it'd only be a 2.5mm difference if i didn't run one and if i just wacked it in and never looked i'd never know any different, but because i do it'd do my head in and i'd convince myself that i could feel the offset if i didn't stick a spacer on. if chain line is an issue i'll swap the the tr sprocket with central teeth for one with teeth at the end of the sprocket instead.
  22. says on the bb, 73mm without the spacer 68mm with it. other wise the bb will be offset towards the non-drive side, the same as a 73mm bb in a 68mm frame.
  23. royalmail sucks ass

  24. way i see it - bigger gaps/rolling moves I've seen done have been done on a stock, the biggest sidehop on a mod. that said if the rider doesn't like the bike he's on he can't do shit, so a top level mod rider probably won't go as big on a stock if he was to get on one....at least not right away. stocks have the psychological advantage of whatever you're approaching looks smaller and the disadvantage of a cumbersome bike, and vice-versa for a mod. but surely the higher you are on a bike in a static position to start with (like when on the back wheel lining up for a sidehop ) the higher your body will be, meaning when you tuck you're already those few inches higher right? if that makes any sense then a stock would mean you can go bigger than if you were a mod, assuming you had the ability to ride both to the same standard
  25. a fork with a shorter offset will feel 'sharper or more responsive' vs one with more offset, if your going streety then a shorter offset one would probably be the best choice. if you're running a disc up front the 2012 urbans have a 30mm offset (iirc), but the inspired forks will no doubt last longer........... personal choice at the end of the day
