If you assume earth weight then you can work out gravitational force on your chosen moon size and then the radius/speed of the moon will follow and I guess you can shift things around to make a nice thing you can plot. gut feeling - if you start with earth size planet you aren’t going to get a similarly visible earth that goes round 27 times faster. but I’ll try it out later. edit: soggy mind might be talking shite

Update to the shed... put a spare temperature sensor in there to log the temperature. It reached 41degC by 2pm yesterday and probably would have gone higher, but I opened the doors to do some cladding work and it cooled down very quickly. Today it’s complete cloud cover and it’s just over 16degC. Worrying... think I may need more than internal solutions, maybe some kind of wind out awning? Or maybe even external shutters (I don’t really want to do either but it needs to be useable).

they came with bundles of dosh however I will say that I have an absolute shit tonne of off cuts. And I’m probably gonna post them up as free to collect somewhere - I’m guessing that happens a lot. Also skips outside houses having loft conversions are usually full of it and they are usually decent thickness. the frame looks amazing - really impressive!

I would be surprised if a big company like Marin could make good trials bikes in the low volumes required and for it to be cost effective. I can completely understand canyon wanting nothing else branded on Fabio, they are trying to buy into a brand and an association, get their logo over tons of YouTube views - they can’t have it diluted with other bike brands - especially if they aren’t selling anything.

Me and Martyn had this realisation back in '09. Trials bikes just don't sell in the numbers that makes any sense at all for any MTB companies to actually make a trials bike. We nearly jacked in trials bikes and talked about switching the team over to actual mountain bikes. Ride trials and make videos on bikes that sell gives a bike team a lot more power. I think Martyn would have done it, but the natural end of the bike team (and the fact that I would have been crap as hell on a mtb) ended the idea.

The fork hang thingmy to 180 out was pure gold.

Well, insulation works - it’s still warm in the shed (in the 20’s), but now I need to come up with a good plan to reduce solar gain ... I’m thinking heat reflective blinds (possibly automated to temperature for a laugh). Ac has definitely climbed back onto the must have list too.

Gods punishment isn’t going to help change that. Might need a miracle though...

Eventually I would hope to end up closer to the coast in the proper southwest... thread side tangent: as the sheds nearing electrics I’m thinking about home automations, I’ve got some serious space issues for lights so it’s going to be very thin led jobs with drivers in the walls rather than ceiling. Want dimmable smart control and came across Shelley WiFi bits n bobs. Anyone using anything like that anywhere at home? In fact just general ideas for things to automate that have had a positive impact? I want to probably make some automated thermal blinds at some point - maybe triggering off a door sensor to the garden. Maybe heating if I have just an electric heater.

I really want to put one of these in... a 3D printer and a bit of a geek out space - maybe some soft seating maybe a ps5. But mostly I just really want a full sheet cnc machine. one of the original plans was to air condition it, but doing it diy seems a lot harder now as no one wants to sell them anymore. It’s the best way to heat it and the summers are getting more and more intense so a chill out zone would be nice...

just a bit of cladding and pipe the guttering along the side into a waterbutt, and the outside is done.

Can’t remember what thread I’ve been putting these in but - doors are nearly in - just need some expanding foam around and sealant... hopefully be able to get that done and handles and vents tomorrow and can take a pic without all the tape on. no more crappy leaky tarp.

So is it one sex dungeon and one bike workshop, or just two sex dungeons?

Couldn’t get the side panel and French door connector to play ball, can connect to one side or the other not both. Grrr
